Never will visit this store again. The employee at the deli department working the opening shift always in a bad mood. He doesn’t talk he barks. He needs a quick and refreshing training classes what r exceptional customer service standards I will go to the store where my business is appreciated. Good luck to all of you .

Ordering a custom cake was so disappointing. I placed an order a week before I needed it. I went TWICE, first to place the order (the associate that took my order was very nice) and the second time to leave a reference picture. I called an hour before my pick up time for them to rudely tell me there was no cake scheduled to be picked up at that time. They spoke to me as if it was my fault and even gave me an attitude. They didn’t even want to double check anything or look for any misplaced orders. Very poor customer service.

My boyfriend and I went to stews and dropped some of our food. One of the employees saw and told us to go and grab another one so we didn’t have to use the one that was on the ground. Very nice employees and an amazing store.

For this to be the original store I was very surprised by the customer service being so poor. There was no ice cream available at the ice cream stand and that was not communicated through any signage. Only when trying to order and being told “ we only have a milkshake”. The Bbq area outside had no cool drinks in the cooler and only two of the options offered. Plenty of soda in packages that could have been stocked behind the cashier who was not busy when I walked over. I was asked would i like a warm ginger ale…which is nuts. The location in Yonkers is far better.

Over the last several months, Stew Leonards has been out of stock on almost 50% of the things that I buy on a regular basis. How can an operation the size of Stew Leonards be out of lettuce? Lettuce!!! And not just one kind of lettuce—all lettuce! I am so extremely frustrated with the store, and I have recommended that Instacart drop them as a place where Instacart offers their service. It is so frustrating to spend time trying to put an order together, only to have to keep redoing it and redoing it because you have to find items that will somehow replace what you really want. SL should shape up. The original store in Norwalk has become a wasteland. When you can only get 50% of what you need, they no longer deserve to be in business. And yes, I know all about supply orders & the pandemic. But Stop & Shop is not out of stock. ShopRite is not out of stock. In fact, the little Village Market in Wilton is not out of stock. So that tells you that SL, as an operation, is failing miserably; now simply an entertaining place to drag your kids. Stew Leonard, the original founder, the brilliant innovator who created this concept store, would be horrified by how his store is being run. I’ve tried calling, I’ve tried texting and nobody there cares. So my suggestion is Instacart shoppers and Fairfield county shoppers boycott Stew Leonards. Take your business elsewhere and let them know that they are no longer needed.

  1. Great supermarket with an enormous selection of everything. Currently being remodeled extensively and it’s looking great. Gets really crowded though!

  2. For some reason, they decide to wait until inflation is at an all time high to renovate the store, and raise prices even higher than they already were. Prices are somewhere around 40 to 50% higher than stop&shop now.

Not to mention, the employees are always rude. But hey, what do you expect from minimum wage. They can’t afford to buy anything either. Hopefully they get free snacks on their breaks and lunches or they’re hit ?

  3. Food Bazaar brings it! It offers an eclectic variety of foods, and a fish market to please all of your seafood cravings. Visit, shop, enhance your pallet!

  4. Amazing customer service by a lady at the bakery . I purchased some cannolis and they were really soggy and the cannoli filling was hard . I told her about it and she replaced them for me . She’s the best
