I would skip this location if you have other options. The produce is either never restocked or, rotten or simply not attractive. I understand that it’s cheaper but I think people with less money also deserve quality things. The staff are not very friendly and are not helpful in helping you find things. The lines are always long but there are only a few opened registers( still don’t understand why). The return line is ridiculous so don’t even bother with that. I still go there when I’m in a pinch but I prefer other grocery stores. Good news, there is a Dunkin’ Donuts located inside and plenty of parking space so that’s nice. Don’t forget to bring your own bag!

Though always busy you can go in an out without much delay. Too bad many pre- covid items are no longer available.

No customer service if you need to find something. All the workers are blocking the aisles with their carts. Stocking shelves while customers are trying to shop. It is a madhouse, and the employees are all in bad moods like they hate their jobs and give dirty looks at the customers because you are in their way. It has to be the worst store in the region. Stocking should take place when store is not active with buying customers and not when people are trying to shop and get on their way. A lot of workers standing around by front of store by registers and not doing nothing. Managment is awful and needs plenty more training. Never seen anything like it in the world.

I used Walmart pickup – and it’s fast and very efficient! The only problem is other people using the pickup spots as their personal parking lot and going inside, then there isn’t enough room to park. There was an empty car parked there and I watched someone park in a spot and go inside. Are people too lazy to walk a little further? There was plenty of open parking spots

This store is the worst! Shelves are half empty every time I’m there. I just walked out and left about $200 worth of items because an employee told me there are no cashiers after 8pm. I was so upset. Attention Walmart! You do not pay me to work for you as a cashier and therefor I refuse to use self-checkout. Where am I supposed to put a carriage full of items while checking out? On that tiny little stainless steel shelf? Walmart, you make tons of money! Pay some people to cashier until your store is closed.

Alright for necessities, but in a bad traffic area, there’s the occasional low-lives hanging around it too so I wouldn’t go at night. It’s next to a grimy housing complex that’s just behind KFC. The staff are not at all helpful, the customers are mostly pretty trashy, but you can get cheap jeans and laundry detergent so I guess that’s worth 3 stars nowadays.

It looks like it’s not a Supercenter, but one of the coziest, cleanest, most comfortable Walmart I’ve visited recently. Separate words deserves the restroom. Clean, everything works, 3 booths, there are soap and wipes and air drying. And cleanliness. And silence…

Love this store. They have everything you need! Even have things you don’t think you need. Prices are good. Only drawback is self checkout not enough cashiers

Standing in the electronics section, waiting over 30 minutes for someone with a key so I can buy a $6 iPhone screen protector. If you want to lock up everything to mitigate shrink/loss, you should staff your store. Pretty sure the entire purpose of this store is to make you not want to shop at Walmart. If the item you need isn’t locked up, you still most likely won’t get what you need because it will be sold out. This place is about as poor a shopping experience as you can image

I have always had a pleasant experience shopping at this Walmart location. The sales associates are helpful and pleasant to me and the store is clean. I like browsing the following sections: books, holiday items, beauty, accessories and household items. I usually secure a good parking space as well.

  1. Ghetto, there’s nothing more to say. Tons of trash in the parking lot. The store always looks like a tornado hit. It’s so bad now, they have security locks on laundry detergent… LAUNDRY DETERGENT. If you’re shoplifting problem is that big of a deal, think of hiring more security.

  2. Lines can be long at peak hours. I have noticed when you purchase electronics the door alarm goes off when you’re leaving the store. That issue need to be addressed. The pharmacy staff are very courteous and knowledgeable.

  3. The Hartford, CT Walmart Supercenter never fails to disappoint. Yesterday was just another example of the systemic indifference and incompetence I have experienced again and again there.

I had lost a receipt for an item I had charged to a company credit card. I have easily gotten replacements in the past, and this was the most convenient Walmart to where I work, so off to the Hartford store I went.

I went to the service desk and said that I needed a duplicate receipt. I knew this would not turn out well when the person behind the counter asked me if I had a receipt. I explained that if I had a receipt, I would not need a replacement.

He didn’t know how to do this, so he asked the other person behind the counter, who apparently didn’t know either, so off he went to find a Supervisor. One came by, and she looked equally confused. Finally, the original staffer noticed that my credit-card statement that gave the date and amount indicated that I had purchased the item at the Bristol, CT store, so he said that I had to go to Bristol.

I have gotten Bristol receipts through the Hartford store before, so I asked, “Are you sure?” I then explained that I have gotten receipts from other stores in the past, but he and the supervisor insisted. At this point, I am annoyed, so I said that if they were wrong, I was going to file a complaint with corporate. The supervisor told me that this would be fine, so if she prefers a complaint to a resolution, then that is what I will do.

I went to Bristol, 5 minutes later I had a duplicate and when I told the story, the gentleman behind the Service Desk in Bristol said that they can easily issue receipts from any Walmart store, if the date, time and original credit card are available.

So, the complaint will be sent, and, to help others avoid inaccurate customer service, reviews will be put on various review sites. After all, this is what the staff at the Hartford Supercenter wanted.

  4. This Walmart has been terrible for years. The least helpful staff I’ve ever experienced… Over half of them barely speak English if even at all. There’s one guy up front the white guy who’s very very helpful, but other than that this place is a dump. Super sketchy parking lot after dark.

  5. Trash is everywhere. Dirtiest parking lot known to man.

Lots of employees in the store, but they kinda just sit around and wait for you to ask them something, in a very… Oblivious manner. I dont mind that manner of helping people.. But its sort of rude, because theres those who spend 10-20more mins there… Due to being unable to locate things and having social anxiety so they cant ask for help.

    Anyways…
    Its also poorly stocked!
    .
Favorable location, as its next to a lot of fastfood joints, i go there sometimes on a lunch break to just grab a quick sammich.

But… Its still dirty, lazy, and obnoxious to navigate as theres stocking carts everywhere with NO EMPLOYEES STOCKING!
