I felt supported from beginning to end, they checked in with me multiple times regarding how many items needed to be moved, if I needed to make any modifications, etc. I actually had to reschedule my move in date to earlier because I signed a lease much earlier than expected, and they were able to accommodate a change to move ASAP (only a few days out). We had a very unique moving request — we were receiving a shipment of large, heavy, decorative furniture from craftsman in Italy, and we could not receive the delivery at our Upper East Side building or move it up to the fifth floor ourselves. I called a dozen different moving companies, and most dismissed my request to have the furniture delivered to their business address out of hand. But SEKA listened carefully about our situation and agreed to help us. This was a really stressful move, because the furniture could have been easily damaged moving it upstairs (only one piece could fit in our small elevator, so most of it had to go up the stairs), and we had to coordinate with the freight company delivering to SEKA without a concrete timeline from the freight company. But SEKA rolled with the punches, communicated very clearly and in a timely manner, and they were super respectful and helpful throughout. There was only one other moving company in the city that even considered our request, but they would have charged us more.
This is the ONLY moving company I ever want to work with again.
After receiving a few different quotes from different moving companies, SEKA gave the cheapest quote. After seeing all the positive reviews, we decided to book.
We are so happy with our choice, Seka was early, quick and efficient. They were able to move my one bedroom apartment into the truck in 30 minutes. (I lived on the 4th floor)
We had a two stop move, mine and my boyfriends place, and they were able to complete the entire move in less than 4 hours.
We would definitely recommend SEKA to anyone in NYC.

I had a great experience moving with this company. They were responsive, priced competitively (especially since their price was flat rate and included everything – miles, taxes, insurance), and they were incredibly respectful of my belongings, treating them like they were their own. They took a lot of the stress out of moving and I would definitely recommend them!
The 2 guys were excellent with the complicated move.
Showed up on time, started working to resolve the challenges between moving into another apartment in the same building and then to a truck for transport.
Took furniture / bed apart and put back together better than before.

Had a scheduled FaceTime walk through (discussed with employee Nick and scheduled with Nick). They no-showed. No call. Nothing. I called their customer service line, they said they’d get back to me with what was happening. 15 minutes later, still no call. I gave a call, at which point they informed me the employee let them know he was sick.
If I am sick, I let my work know before appointments occur so we can arrange coverage. Or reschedule for a different time before they happen. Pretty standard practice, and something I’d expect from a moving company in particular.
Would avoid this company at all costs. No showing to appointments does not bode well for a moving company when lots of things need to run on time. I have worked with several others and never dealt with this before. Would definitely recommend going elsewhere.
