That’s on top of the $49 evaluation fee just to see if they can get it lit without doing any actual work. Agreed to the $49 only to have him tell me within minutes of him arriving that he can’t get the pilot light to stay lit either and the repair for a thermocouples would be $1k. Fastest and most dishonest way to lose $50. Will not be using this team again. *update – a manager reached out after my poor experience (Darrell) and took care of the issue. He sent out Chris who did an excellent job and was able to quickly fix the issue. Ty, the technician was very knowledgeable and friendly and helpful. He gave me several options and suggestions about what to do in my situation. According to him there were several refrigerant leaks due to improper installation by our contractor. He promised to get me an estimate for a replacement unit with labor. Fast forward a day. I have heard nothing back. I call. And am promised that he will be calling me asap. I know it’s smack dab in the middle of the hottest time of the year and they are slammed busy. I understand. But when the next day rolls around and I still haven’t heard anything, especially after being promised, I’m a little irritated, not to mention very sweaty. I call back. And this time am able to go ahead and make an appointment out of desperation and heat exhaustion for a complete unit replacement two days out, with the promise of an estimate. Next morning, no estimate. I call around lunchtime. I’m promised a supervisor will call me. He does. And proceeds to tell me that #1. My appointment should never have been scheduled without an estimate being provided to me. And #2. The cost of replacing the unit will be anywhere from $15k-$25k! I died laughing. I’m not super knowledgeable about current rates for hvac services, etc but I have done enough research to know that it costs nowhere near that to replace a mini split unit. Especially when the electrical connections and concrete slab are already in place! That was confirmed by my next 3 estimates I received from different companies that have averaged around $6k. Between the horrible response time, lack of communication between their staff in regards to getting the information to the customer in a timely fashion, and what seems to be obvious price-gouging, I would never recommend them to anyone. Other companies we called couldn’t get to us for about a week, and we would have had to go through Christmas with no water. Roto Rooter got us scheduled the very next morning. The plumber who responded to our call was very professional and nice, and explained everything well. He was actually 5 minutes early, which I thought was amazing since I was fully expecting to wait hours like I have with other home services I’ve had done. The repair was done quickly and held up great through the cold snap (and more). We were only without water for less than 24 hours. Disaster averted! They got someone here (Greg) in less than an hour. He was very nice and professional and got our clog cleared within 30 min. They will follow up with additional steps this week as well. We used them a year ago for a pipe that clogged due to roots and they came out right away, showed us everything they were doing and got us fixed up within the day. I highly recommend them. From the moment we needed to schedule an appointment everyone we spoke to was professional and helpful. Dan Lambert was the technician who came out and helped us with our heater. He was extremely helpful, he explained everything he was doing and what was wrong with our heater. He was polite and very professional. He made sure to go out of his way to find a solution to our problem. I would highly recommend him and Radiant. They will be our go to for HVAC services in the future.
We have worked with Radiant Plumbing twice now, and we could not be happier with their services! Their plumbers are professional, knowledgeable, and KIND. You can tell they like working for Radiant, and that matters to me – I want to support local businesses who take good care of their employees. I also like their hilarious & creative in-house short films (ads), and I LOVE that they support local and global charities!! Price matters to our family too, and Reliant is not the cheapest, BUT today they were repairing problems caused by a less expensive plumber we hired a few years ago. Reliant does the work RIGHT, which actually does save money in the long run.
John did a service visit to my home on behalf of Radiant and did an awesome job. He was very thorough in his investigation and presented all the pros and cons in a way I could understand. Super professional, knowledgeable people. Highly recommended!

As a business owner that has captained a ship during a business storm, I know how difficult it is to coordinate. And I know that many companies are struggling to keep up with demand on these punishingly hot days.
But they were spot on. Exceeding expectations.
I had tried some other companies and they started with price. All unreasonable. But not Radiant. They were beyond fair.And on the way. On a Saturday.
Finally, Anthony was one of the most professional and personable people I have met in this industry. He took his time and explained to me what was happening. And helped me make the best choices for me based on my considerations. He did that by listening.

He even encouraged additional questions and offered information about water pressure and safety valves if I wanted it. He was impressively efficient and I appreciate that he fixed the problem we were having without having to replace everything. I would recommend working with him and would even request to work with him again. Although fingers crossed we don’t need any more unplanned work done for bit. 🙂 The entire process from the request to schedule phone call, to the pre appointment updates, and of of course the actual appointment was thankfully very smooth and overall painless.
