  I was happy they were able to come out so quick. When you have water pouring out of a light fixture from a plugged toilet above it makes one anxious. The technician that came out was very polite. The job itself I feel was expensive. But as I said above, I needed to get the issue resolved. It was a Friday and didn’t want to have to wait and get charged for an emergency call. I feel for the price I paid the bathroom floor was left with debris that should have been cleaned up also the drippings from the snake should have been cleaned up. But he was able to resolve the problem and was here in a timely manner.

  Customer service was excellent my technician Josh was on time and so courteous. What I liked is he consistently assured me he would solve my drainage problem and not to worry.   The work was done very well and the employee was friendly and professional. However, the price was absurdly high and unreasonable. Took literally 5 minutes to unplug the toilet. That cost $350.00!!! Tightening a faucet took longer than he expected, but that was offered at no charge with the original $350 fee. In addition, I had a discount coupon that could be used for ANY service. He said it could not be used because he was already giving me a discount off of their standard rate. Bet they say that every time a customer presents a coupon. So, good service, but totally ripoff pricing and deceptive couponing. Will never use them again.

  I had a small problem with my toilet and Mike Council Plumbing sent over Bobby Mata and his mate to unclog the problem! They were extremely professional from the moment they introduced themselves to me and throughout the work that needed to be done. I dealt with Bobby Mata for the most part as he was writing up my contract/invoice. The cost was very reasonable and the work was done very quick. They left no mess and were gone in the same manner of which they came, extremely professional! I would recommend Mike Counsil Plumbing to anyone in need of Plumbing services and would hope anyone out there that uses this company that you get Bobby Mata and his assistant onsite. I know I am doing the assistant a disservice by not remembering his name and I apologize sincerely for that! Thank you Mike Counsil Plumbing and Bobby Mata for making my day a lot better than it started.

  My 86-year-old mother saw an ad for Mike Counsil Plumbing on TV and contacted them about a leaky toilet. The company turned a leaky toilet into $46,000 worth of work, most of which was unnecessary and overpriced. After that, they tried to get her to do a complete gas re-pipe for $19,882. Luckily, I was alerted this time and had PG&E come out to inspect. PG&E found nothing wrong! A complete scam. Twice. Details: They charged her the exorbitant rate of $2,300 to replace two toilets (only one of which was leaky). Then they talked her into spending $9,400 to replace toilet and tub drainpipes. Next, they convinced her to re-pipe the whole house, for an additional $34,500. She already had copper pipes in place. We did not realize what was happening until it was too late. What came next was even worse. After the unnecessary re-piping of the water pipes was complete, Mike Council Plumbing tried to con my mom into a whole house gas re-pipe. The Mike Counsil salesperson did a gas pressure test, where he jacked up the pressure on the gas pipes to over 30x normal pressure and then took her around and showed her a lot of bubbling around joints. They scared her and then gave her two options to fix the problem, costing either $19,882 or $15,404. Fortunately, she checked with us, and we were able to stop her from signing another contract. We then asked PG&E to come out and check her gas pipes. PG&E carefully checked her gas lines and found no leaks. PG&E said that there was NO WORK needed on her gas lines. The rep for Mike Counsil plumbing came back to collect the check for the balance due on previous work and tried to talk her into doing another test of her gas lines. They were not going to take no for an answer. We were on the phone with her at this time and fortunately, with our support, she told them to leave. Mike Counsil Plumbing is an unscrupulous company who takes advantage of senior citizens.

  Besmir did a fantastic job installing a new OVE smart toilet. He was prompt, professional, and made the whole process a breathe (despite having to do some soldering due to some incompatiblity issues with the compressor). It’s not the cheapest quote I got but the cost is worth a job well-done. Overall Mike Counsil has been very responsive and professional throughout the process and I will continue to use their service in the future.

  Mike Counsil Plumbing did a great job to help identify the source of a 20 gallons per day (3,360 gallons per week) water leak at our house and then replaced the leaking connection with a water shut-off value. We were notified by Beacon (the firm that regularly checks our house water meter via EyeOnWater) that a water leak had been detected at our house. We ruled out a toilet leak, a leak in our irrigation system, or a leak in any of our other appliances. Mike Counsil Plumbing responded to our call by sending out Gert Visser and he systematically walked our property and crawled under the small space under our house to rule out common house water leak sources. After a small puddle of water was found behind our garage, Gert was able to carefully dig into the ground and found the leak in a connection between copper and PVC pipes that deliver water to another section of our property. Despite being a week before Christmas, Gert was able to organize his colleague Samuel Andrade to come out within a few hours of the leak source being identified to replace the bad connection with a water shut-off value. Throughout this process, Gert and Samuel kept us informed of their progress, were very professional, and implemented a high-quality solution. Great job guys, thank you. Mike Counsil Plumbing comes through for us again.

  Outstanding job! I was very satisfied with the quality of the work performed by Mike Counsil Plumbing. We had ALL of the piping in our 67-year-old house replaced: water intake inside the house and underground to the sidewalk, and outflow and sewer line piping under the house and out to the sidewalk. They started work the same day I signed the contract and were very efficient. They took great care to protect our floors and walls before they started. At the end of every day, they ensured that we always had water and sewer service. They cleaned up the site every day before they left. I was extremely impressed with entire crew, and particularly with our technician, JJ Cabrera Martinez. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. He was an excellent communicator, always informing us of his plans in the morning, and then providing us an end-of-day summary. He managed the crew extremely well; on one day we had eight trucks and at least ten people working on our house. The results are great! I could not be more satisfied with the overall work and the 40-year quality guarantee. If I need plumbing work in the future, I will immediately call Mike Counsil Plumbing and ask that JJ be assigned to the job. Charles Weidmann
