- Reviews:I’ve used 2 men in a truck in Oahu Hi. and on the Big Island of Hawaii. This Las Vegas move was by far the largest move yet. It was my residence to the storage unit about a mile away. The experience from booking to completion was excellent and I will definitely use them again. I was in contact with (name?) when I first called and he was pleasant, patient and very informative. He guided me step by step and provided me with his personal contact number. The 2 men who arrived at our residence were very personable and friendly. They were very conscious of taking care of handling our processions. They always communicated through out the loading at our residence. They worked really hard and were very careful, always checking on each other while carrying the heavy bulky stuff. It was such a nice pleasant experience even though moving is always a stressful time. I got there names but didn’t write it down and being old naturally I forgot, lol. I can’t say anymore how very satisfied with our experience with using 2 guys and a truck here in Las Vegas. When we find a place to move too, I am definitely calling them again. The movers they sent were not equipped with standard moving things like load straps to help carry things. Their dollies are weak so can’t be used for the heavier items. The movers themselves were weak, so I ended up doing the heavy lifting. The movers we had hired to help us load in a different city could carry pieces of furniture by themselves that the 3 from 2 men and a truck couldn’t lift with 3 people. Watching the 3 of them try to move a gunsafe was comical. It took them multiple attempts with all 3 of them to get one side an inch or 2. I moved the other side 8 inches at a time by myself. I get that kids need a job but for what they charge, they should be knowledgeable and have the required tools to compensate for the lack of physical strenth. Their person running billing was incompetent and put in the card information wrong at both the booking and the actual day of. That caused us to get multiple fraud warnings from our card company. They didn’t tell us they had corrected it wasting more of our time. They quoted us 175 an hour but charged us 875 for 2 hours, so now I need to waste more time getting that fixed. My ring camera shows them pulling up at 0830 and complete with work by 1020 and back in their truck by 1030. They did show up on time and had good attitudes. I had a scheduled arrival time of 10-12N. The movers arrived to load at 3:15pm without making contact with me. I had an issue with that. I understand people may underestimate their belongings. But underestimating by three and a half hours means someone should make another appointment so those who were upfront are not punished. In addition, I spoke with someone about a trim piece missing off a 100+ year old curio cabinet. Three days and I’ve had no response. Two thirds of the process were great. Communication was and remains a key point where improvement is necessary.By Barb Brandon (3 months ago)Very disappointed with this company mostly based on the value of what it cost. The movers (labor) were ok. However, they used up 2 hours wrapping up our couches and dining table, they moved only 1/3 of the total items from our starting location to the destination. This is a local in town move and distance between locations is about 12 miles. The pace of getting items loaded up was very slow and with only two guys it is impossible to complete anything less than 5 or 6 hours. So if you have a larger home to move plan accordingly, the estimate I received was completely wrong. ($680). Actually paid $1,105 for 5.5 hours. Also think it’s ridiculous to pay $170 “trip charge” in order to get the crew to you. Their justification for this fee is “that you don’t start paying until they arrive” thats side speak. You are paying the minute they leave their shop to get to you because they wont travel more than an hour to the starting site. Beyond disgusted with the level of service I received from this company. They pull you in with a reasonable price of $600 for not the entire house just the main heavy items mind you, and double the price once they get to your final destination. The main mover Derrick beyond lazy and unprofessional, sat in the truck for majority of the time, had someone come to my house while he sat outside talking to her, acts as if he doesn’t hear you, and came up with an excuse to get out of reassembling the furniture. Whats worse the manager just apologized and did nothing to rectify his one crew members actions. Learn from my mistake of hiring this horrible company and spend your money with a more professional moving company.
We just finished “moving day” about an hour ago and I’m really pleased with how it went. It wasn’t cheap, but you get what you pay for, and these guys were excellent. Very glad I went with this company.
I had a team of 3: Deandre, Dominique, and Dre, and each one of them was friendly and professional. Deandre has been doing this for 11 years, and it shows. He was the team leader and helped guide and direct the others respectfully and efficiently. The crew showed up on time and introduced themselves politely, but with a fun energy- making a joke about Dre #1 and Dre #2. I gave them a rundown of what I needed (I’m not actually moving- I hired them to pack and take to storage a lot of artwork and other things to prepare for a renovation)— and after they asked a few clarifying questions, they set to work, each one focused on a certain task.
The whole time, they were very careful with my things and asked just the right amount of questions— they were self sufficient, but still considerate of which items I wanted packed and what to do with the things that were staying. I also really appreciated the conversation level- it was enough that I felt comfortable with them but not so much that I was thinking about them being on the clock. Two of the men talked about their kids as they were packing the playroom, and they both were so proud of their kids that it made me feel really good about the people I had hired.
Everything was so smooth until we hit a snag at the storage facility. I had rented the unit online and was supposed to be able to access it outside of office hours, but when we got there, it was locked. I called the business and they sent someone out to unlock the unit— they had mistakenly assigned me to a locked space.
During all of this, my moving crew was really cool and tried to help. No one had a bad attitude at all. Once we got access to the unit, they quickly went to work unloading and did a nice job of arranging everything to maximize open space if I needed to add more things to it.
After we finished and I got home, I got a call from the moving office asking for feedback. It’s a Sunday, so I felt that was an especially nice touch. All around, I couldn’t be happier with the crew and the company. Again, not the cheapest option, but well worth it and I will hire them again.
Pictures: I only needed to clear the room halfway because the renovation will be impacting just that wall of this room. Just need to drape the remaining things in plastic, and now I’m ready for demo to begin! Would’ve taken me days to do this by myself.
I went with this moving company after reading the positive reviews. While the movers were kind and respectful of our home, our like-new furniture that we had just purchased incurred significant damage due to improper loading and moving techniques. During the sales call, I was not offered additional insurance and was told “in the event of damage, we will have any and all items repaired to your satisfaction” which seemed reassuring. I am now being offered a $507 check based on $0.60/pound which not only doesn’t begin to cover the extent of the repairs but is also based on inaccurate weights.
If you care about your furniture, I would think twice.
My team was on time, super friendly, great attitude, and never backed down as it wasn’t an easy move. We even had a few laughs. Great booking process and great communication all the way through. Definitely would hire again.
We just moved to Las Vegas and wanted a little extra help unloading our trailer. This was our second trip and the first one we used a different company that left a lot to be desired. We had a much better experience with All My Sons. We had Thomas Maya and Trishawn Grimes. They were professional and hard working. They got right to work and moved efficiently. We got the trailer unloaded quickly but not haphazardly. They stacked everything neatly so there is still room to move around and unpack things.
