- Reviews:First of all this Boat tour is Amazing I took a church group from CO yesterday and they did a phenomenal job!! Captain Angel was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They do care about their customers. They make sure we learn and Enjoy the tour at the same time. Not to mention Dolphins and Manatees are beyond plus. Also another staff member Wendy is Awesome and knowledgeable! She explains everything that you need to know regarding the marines lives and all the habitats in the surroundings area. Steve also is good in explaining the Island that we step foot on. The entire tour are super!! I highly recommend it to everyone especially with the family and children. Thank you guys!By Wayne Rumambi (2 weeks ago)SARASOTA BAY EXPLORERS BOAT TOURS MOTE AQUARIUM Magnificent research and science tour. Marine Biology. Biologist tour guide. A real experience of Sarasota Bay Marine Life. An amazing experience for all ages! This Tour Boat begins outside of Mote Aquarium. They have a fun filled 2 hour Voyage. Many scenic homes along the Bay. Scientific explanation of the Mangroves filtering the Bay Water. A grand experience viewing an Audubon Bird Nesting Island. The boat stops for a view and exploration of a public island among the Mangrove Islands in Sarasota Bay. They are a catch and release program. We got to view Seahorses, Anemones, Sponges, Fish, Crabs, etc. Educational experience for young and old.By H Miller (a month ago)Amazing tour. Jill was amazing (sorry, no one after me will get her) she is moving on, but best wishes. We saw a whole bunch of cool stuff. I have never been on a boat tour where I was so informed. I got to see dolphins, manatees, seahorse, crabs, sea sponges, puffer fish, coconuts, and found some nice shells. The boat ride was smooth that day even though the wind was enough for wind surfing.By Crystal Johnson (2 months ago)Can’t recommend this enough! Excellent value! We did the Sea Life Encounter Eco Tour on the afternoon of 3/20/23. Lots of dolphins & birds, and we even saw manatees! Some celebrity houses were also pointed out. I loved the island stop; I was pleasantly surprised they took us all the way down to Edwards Islands by Siesta Key! Very knowledgeable guides. Safety was appropriately emphasized. They sell drinks & snacks on board for $1 each. There’s a small, private bathroom on board. The boat was pretty comfortable (not too rocky) even with a lot of wind. Definitely bring a jacket! It was sunny (though the boat is covered), windy, and about 65 degrees when we went – and it was cold on board! The guide had on a hoodie, a jacket, and a cardigan. Perhaps not a good activity for small kids.By Kahley McBeth (3 months ago)We’ve been going on this boat for years. It is such a fun family trip. You get to see the pretty houses around Sarasota Bay, learn about things on that island, and bring up some animals from the bottom and learn about them. While we had some issues with the net, this is one of the better trips I’ve been on. Angel, Wendy, and Christy had a lot of good knowledge and worked together as a cohesive team. Throughly enjoyed this trip yesterday. So glad there is a trip like this to take.By Leah (4 weeks ago)

Such a fun cruise! Light apps and a full bar on board, and Bathrooms were all great! They had someone singing songs the whole time at the front, the cruise stops at the perfect spot for sunset photos! Would go again! Make sure to check in on time!!
Very nice as we took the sunset cruise. They stopped at a specific location where other boaters were anchored. This allowed for a great view of the su set. The food smelled amazing, but we had already eaten. The drinks were ok.
There are so many nice homes to see and so many different water crafts out. It made for an enjoyable and peaceful evening.
There was not enough room for us to go up top, so we had the sit inside, but it was still a nice view. Just a little more crowded than what I would have liked.
Lots of fun and beautiful views. We booked the sunset cruise. We had great music (some audience participation), really good drinks and many photo ops. There’s nothing better than watching the sun hit the water while surrounded by it.
If you’re visiting the area or just looking for a fun evening with friends, this is a great way to spend 3 hours. Family/kid friendly. Can purchase snacks, water, soda, coffee as well as some alcoholic beverages.
If you’re visiting Sarasota, this is a great way to experience a sunset!
What a fun experience it was! It does get full and it’s more of a casual experience than a private and intimate one.
Two levels of fun, up stairs with great live music, tables and seats, palm trees, and drinks (see video) and downstairs for food and drinks.
It was smooth sailing and a beautiful sunset! The bathrooms were clean, nicely decorated and easy to use, located on the first floor. Can’t wait to go back again!

Kids under age 4 ride free. Adults $30-$40. Booking reservations can be made online. Walk in are also considered. Good place to spend the evening after dinner watching the sunset and sarasota coastline. Food on board is just snacks, so don’t plan dinner. Bar and drinks are good, average $10 per drink. Clean restrooms.
