5 years agoHandy if you need a standard everyday item and happy to pay a higher price. The sandwich and drink meal deal is quite poor with lack of choice. Your better off going to Tesco metro in town just for the soft drink selection alone.4 years agoMy partner and I were refused service for condoms due to “needing ID” which is completely false. There is no age restriction on condoms. Whilst I have the attitude to ask for them, younger people may not and how rude the server was makes me worry that young people won’t want to ask. There are no restrictions on them in order to promote heathy and clean sex, so this attitude I faced really disappointed me as it displays a lack of being informed. Despite being in customer service. I hate having to complain, but this needs to be sorted.2 years agoStaff are lovely but its way over priced in there, i avoid buying so much as prices are ridiculous, its cheaper to go across the road to waitrose, which I avoided doing, as I thought waitrose was over priced but turns out its still cheaper then the tescos express for much better quality too.a year agoIt has the basics, but when one of them is open, I usually either go to Waitrose over the road or the Oaten Hill Local Express 2 minutes walk away3 years agoPretty good Tesco Express on the Dover Road in Canterbury, serves the a large student population living in the area.

This store is definitely going downhill. Got my cat food from this tescos for years but it’s now cheaper to get it in sainsburys. They’ve removed loads of meat options, leaving customers with only the option of the finest stuff, which is way over priced. I used to pop in at least every other day and now I avoid it completely, there is so many cheaper options out there.
Has most of what you need in a shop, but very disappointed to see that they have removed many of the own brands priced at the lower end of the price range. This makes it especially hard for people struggling to stretch their pennies and is most noticable in the meat and tinned fruit and veg areas.
On the plus side, they very often have plenty of discounted items in their near end of shelf life sections which is a godsend to those that are on a tight budget.
Good store, quite pricey but there is always good offers. Needs another person to help on self-service tills as normally theres a poor woman whos running back and forth. Another worker would mean the tills would be open as most of them are closed, but noone is there to fix them
ONLY THREE SELF SERVE TILLS WORKING OUT OF 12….. WHAT A TOTAL JOKE… spent half dinner break in the queue…. DISGUSTING
This store doesn’t accept cash anymore card only and self service only apart from the cigarette counter. Very overpriced and the staff are so rude to their customers it’s almost like a comedy in there. The store is often very dirty as well.
