5 months agoOne of the bigger sainsbury’s you can visit, it’s unlikely they won’t stock what youre lookibg for as far as general day to day shopping goes. Staff are helpful and went out of their way to help me find things when asked. Otherwise can be a little difficult to find specifics in such a big storea month agoGreat parking with ample room in bins to decant car litter build up. Would’ve given 5 stars but walk to toilet was marred by slippery floors. All in all, good place for a quick stopa week agoClosed due to flooding but no notice on their website, fb page or Google map. Walked there for nothing. Wanted to do a TU return, their petrol station couldn’t. Had to walk elsewhere.2 months agoGreat location and availability of products. It’s quite hard to find staff to help you though and the prices are sometimes quite high compared to other supermarkets nearby. I would still recommend it as there are things here you won’t be able to find anywhere else.a month agoIt’s not a bad store. Has no cafe now. Too many self scan tills not working. Staff more interested in being on their phones instead of helping customers.

2 months agoI like this supermarket, staff are very helpful and shop is always clean. I spend a little extra but the quality of the fresh produce make it worthwhile. It’s also good to see that they water the plants which I think says a lot! Clean lavatories too plus the loo for the disabled always clean and tidy.2 months agoUsed to shop in this store a lot, now use it occasionally. I visited 9 months ago, had to deal with rude and unhelpful staff members, causing me to make a complaint to head office. Visited again today, and again, death with rude staff members, apparently it was my fault that the WiFi had gone down in store and contactless payments weren’t working and I wasn’t told, so I couldn’t pay for my shopping as I didn’t have a card. I used scan and shop on my phone as we shopped, got to the till, was told I would have to rescan everything through as the scan and shop system wasn’t working. I scanned everything back through, went to pay Was then told i had to put my card in, I didn’t have a card as I only had my phone. I told the man, he said he could put it on reserve and i could come back – I said i lived 20 mins away so was too far to come back to collect the shopping. He then said, well, it’s not my fault is it? I was angry, but.kept my cool and said, yes, because you didn’t tell me when you said about the scan and shop not working and no one told me when I entered the store. He said, they are telling people when entering which i replied, but they didn’t tell me over 45 minutes ago. He then again said its no my fault. Wow…. what a way to talk to your customers. Absolutely disgraceful service, very rude staff members, no care or compassion or apology from the till staff. Made the whole experience 10 times worse after shopping for over 45 minutes, to not be able to come out with my shopping. NEVER coming back to this store again. staff members not great. Elderly people think they own the store and children shouldn’t be in it.2 months agoAbsolutely rubbish service.. for those who have a 30 minute break.. prepare to spend it all waiting in Sainsbury’s.. spent 15 minutes waiting for someone to notice me at the warm food counter ,( i would imagine at 13:00 is lunch rush !) then went to pay for my food , after checking my bill it was 8 pounds more expensive as random items had been added by the machine.. so onto the line for customer service where i could wait another 15 minutes to get reimbursed.. so no lunch break or warm food ! Absolutely terrible2 weeks agoGood, average standard, but nothing special. We had snack/ in the customer care/ restaurant.3 months agoHardly ever any stock, shop layout is a total mess and no rotisserie chickens apparently and I quote “they didn’t send them in” plenty of chickens on the shelf that just need cooking! This countries food supplies and supermarkets are a joke.

This is a good supermarket showing great improvement. Every Time I visit , I am finding new layout, but with added products, smarts an is good while shopping.
Great store, good selection of products and prices are fair. They have some cool world produce too. And a great alcohol selection as well. The guy serving us was very pleasant.
With a lot of colleges and work places nearby, this Sainsbury is often packed. But queueing times aren’t bad as long as you avoid lunch time.
Also, the store is absolutely massive. One of the biggest I’ve ever seen. I think there’s even an Argos in there
Empty boxes on the shelves.
Box crates dotted around like an obstacle course.
Just get used to the layout and they go and rearrange the shelves (moving all the cerials, again)
Used to be able to buy loose mushrooms in paper bags…. but now… you can only but what they want to sell you… prepackaged, in plastic trays with plastic wrap.
So I buy elsewhere to reduce my plastic use.
Went this morning early as had a 2 year old so being considerate to others, but when your met with the most miserable till lady who was just putting the shopping through the till whilst I was trying to settle my toddler, it’s mounting up as I can’t bag quick enough, where has the customer service gone! It doesn’t take much to just look at the situation, try to accommodate and help!
She was the only one on this tills this morning but still, it really doesn’t take much to help!
