a month agoI’ve never been to a bad Sainsbury’s honestly, I mostly use this branch for my click and collect. The staff are friendly and helpful, it’s clean, well stocked. Never struggled to get a parking space. Just your decent normal Sainsbury’s3 months agoStereotyping, judgemental and worst Sainsbury’s store ever. We went there today for our normal weekly food shopping but unfortunately on their EYES we were the best example of shoplifter. They had to re- scan all our items in our bags as they believed we are a kind of shoppers they can’t trust and they need to embarrassed us publicly. It was a shame as we thought we can be their regular patrons but with this experienced we will never ever come back again.3 months agoVisited, after not visiting the store for 8 years. Can’t believe how much it’s changed, Argos inside, which I guess could be convenient when doing a shop. Only 1 single till on at 7pm, and loads of self service, with queues. I don’t like the self service, or it being pushed onto us
3 months agoGreat selection of food and drinks. Petrol station offers pay at pump or at kiosk options. Friendly, efficient staff. Good sized car parking spaces.3 months agoWorst shop ever been. They have ruined my evening a few times now with their stupid rules. Had to find different shop because one guy said I’m not look like 25. I’m nearly 40 and have grey hair and some gray on my beard, came with my kids. And drove my car. But because I had no ID with me he couldn’t (like he said ) sell me an alcohol products. He knew I came by car, because he ask me if I have left my id in my car. I cannot call it otherwise than stupidity.

2 months agoI always go into this shop early in a morning and there isnt anyone on a till and I dont like to have to put a shop through a self scan as it is difficult to get a lot of stuff on the bit to scan so I think I am going to have to change were I shop as the staff arnt very friendly nor helpful I have been told that Mark’s and Spencer’s have a till on from when they open so I think that is were I will be going in future as I have shopped with sainsburys for over 40 years but I need to change..3 months agoNice selection of items. Well stocked. Never too busy. Argos store in house. Petrol station nearby as well. Would recommend this store.2 months agoI visited Sainsbury’s in the derbion today, I only popped in to grab a drink on my way past, it’s the first time I’ve been into this store but I can honestly say it’s tidy and the staff are friendly and helpful. They have self check outs for those who prefer them and self scan with the hand scanners. They don’t however support the Sainsbury’s mobile scan and go app, it’s a little smaller than most other stores but it is just as good as the store on the wyvern or forester’s park one.
5 months agoVegetable products were very poor selection. Bags to place vegetables were not available. This issue was at Derby City Centre outlet. Kingsway outlet was very good. Very well stockedin the last weekWell stocked, quick checkout, nice shopping experience.

Shopping at Sainsbury’s is a straightforward and convenient experience. Here are some simple guidelines to help you navigate your trip to the store:
- Make a shopping list: Before heading to Sainsbury’s, it’s always helpful to make a list of the items you need. This will help you stay focused and avoid unnecessary purchases.
- Check for promotions: Sainsbury’s often offers promotions and discounts on various products. Before shopping, it’s worth checking their website or flyers to see if there are any deals you can take advantage of.
- Choose a convenient time: Sainsbury’s can get crowded during peak hours, so try to choose a time when the store is less busy. This will make your shopping experience more relaxed and efficient.
- Bring your own bags: Sainsbury’s charges for plastic bags, so it’s a good idea to bring your own reusable shopping bags. This helps reduce plastic waste and saves you money.
- Start with fresh produce: A good tip when shopping at Sainsbury’s is to start with the fresh produce section. This way, you can ensure you get the best quality fruits and vegetables before moving on to other aisles.
- Compare prices and brands: Sainsbury’s offers a wide range of products, and it’s always wise to compare prices and check different brands. This ensures you are getting the best value for your money.
- Consider Sainsbury’s own brand: Sainsbury’s has its own range of affordable and good quality products. Don’t be afraid to give them a try, as they often offer great value for money.
- Check expiry dates: When selecting items, make sure to check the expiry dates to ensure you are buying fresh and long-lasting products. This is especially important for perishable goods like dairy or meat.
- Use the self-checkout: If you prefer a quicker and more independent shopping experience, Sainsbury’s provides self-checkout options. This allows you to scan and pay for your items on your own.
- Don’t forget your loyalty card: If you have a Sainsbury’s Nectar card, make sure to bring it along. This card allows you to collect points on your purchases, which can be later redeemed for discounts or rewards.
Following these guidelines will help you have a smooth and efficient shopping experience at Sainsbury’s. Whether you’re a seasoned shopper or a first-timer, these tips will ensure you make the most of your visit to the store.

Large Sainsbury’s, tons of parking. On site petrol station with upstairs cafe and Tu/Clothes. Massive selection of everything you wanted from a super market, lots of self serve and self scan checkouts. Smaller selection of staffed tills. Very clean, staff Friendly
Really liked this Sainsburys, it’s massive and has a huge car park so no need to fight for any spaces.
Inside the store was like you’d expect from any other supermarket, clean, busy. Staff were lovely to be fair, so that makes the experience better. Price wise, I didn’t really notice the difference between any other supermarket, it does have a pretty impressive range of goods. Found it quicker to use a manned till rather than the self serve, this isn’t always the case but today it paid off. I would recommend coming here instead of a Lidl ( them aisles just too narrow).
All in all a decent experience.
Amazing customer service, especially their manager Debbie is just awesome. We came to return somethings and she just swiftly sorted it out and gave a gesture of goodwill too. A true example of good quality customer service 👌🏼
Locals will know that this place is an absolute nightmare to get out from during busy periods, not solely a Sainsbury’s issue but the retail park as a whole. A new road layout on the ring road will hopefully right a few wrong’s as regards that, only time will tell though.
The Osmaston Branch fair’s a lot better imo.
This shop has a very good selection of everything. Bakery, clothes, items for the house and a sushi bar on top of the usual items you find in a grocery shop. The shop itself is massive, clean and everything is very easy to find. When in the area I always stop here to do my shopping.
