2 months agoFor a relatively smallish store, they always have a great selection and lots of offers on. Using nectar can save you extra too. The staff are always helpful, and I like the smart shop app also.5 months agoShopping at around 10.00 am this morning the store was busy as expected. There has been a recent expansion of the self serve area with a loss of checkouts. With a trolley full of shopping there were no cashiers at the checkouts. There was a very long queue for the self serve area which had two colleagues available . I do not like using self serve especially with a large amount of shopping, there were other shoppers with full trolleys who maybe felt the same, not knowing quite what to do. I went to customer services to complain. There were also queues there for the tobacco kiosk again operated by two staff members. Eventually a “manager” came who said there were colleagues available at the self serve to scan my shopping if I wanted. There was nothing he could do not his decision to expand self serve. Meanwhile a wheel chair user was at the disabled access checkout being operated by a member of staff who had previously been at self serve. At last a checkout was opened by a different member of staff and I was able to join the queue. Usually a welcoming place with friendly staff, each member of staff I observed appeared under some stress, no smiles or friendly chat. It was a thoroughly frustrating experience one which I will not be repeating, Aldi and tesco here I come. Ga week agoUsual Sainsbury’s quality in a reasonably sized shop, dissapointed to find no fuel station as the local one is overpriced. Fruit and veg poor, but that may have been the day.3 months agoGreat supermarket, with Argos just inside the doors, a separately owned petrol station at the entrance and lots of parking with a banking point near the entrance doors. Friendly staff and a great selection of foods.2 weeks agoGreat sized supermarket and enough of everything for all. Nectar points on offer, although as not the cheapest around however good quality!

2 weeks agoNot too bad local shop with fair choice of food, however the black security guards need proper training how to do their job! I personally leave about £30 at each shopping and want to use smart shop app with personalized nectar prices, then I’m being followed up by the guards who are watching me phone and basket! Once I’ve been told to put the items in a basket, not in my bag after scanning them, then in the bag. What’s the point using the smart shop then? Or a security literally grabbed the basket from me hands and put it on the till not allowing me to use a self checkout and the app being afraid I won’t scan me items!!! Has Sainsbury’s reading the reviews about the security guards problem and trying to solve it at all???2 months agoIn my sincere opinion, the black security guard (I think his name is Matthew) (04/07/23) has a significant attitude problem. Perhaps a giant chip on his shoulder. You’re a security guard at a convenience store, Matty. You’re not on an SAS mission deep in enemy territory. a year agoStaff are awesome. Shop is okay but for some reason corporate took away the pay point!!? Ridiculous! The shop serves a ton of people why would they remove the ability to get gas and electric? Moronic to say the least even if there’s a dispute with kc. When I came at door and black man security said read note and I can see other drunk people is complain and they want beer as the shop were 24 hour open before lockdown.This need STOP closing at 12-1am. Keep open 24 hours.

How do Sainsbury’s justify this, a plastic men’s comb for £4! Outrageous. Shouldn’t you be looking after your customers, not fleecing them. I went to home bargains and got a 2 pack for 49p
Went to get a big shop today and came away empty handed. Fruit & meat mostly 2days to best before date. Shop looks untidy, low or no stock on regular basis.
Left my trolly down the last isle & came home.
2 people on the check out,1 a trainee under 18 so needed the supervisor to ok certain sales. Supervisor not very responsive when she was called for. Long que, I was going to walk out and leave the trolley but it wasn’t the till operator to blame it was the supervisor. Looking for black pepper, looked in the obvious place, nothing. Asked a member of staff they informed me that I was the 20th person to ask the same question that day. They walked me to nother part of the store to find a rack with salt and pepper on it and only their own brand of herbs and spices. Sainsbury’s is or has become a very poor copy of Aldi but poor service and the quality of their own brand poor. Worth crossing the road to Aldi better quality at half the price and great service
After 30+ years of using this store, they have ruined the experience.
It is a basic human right that I don’t have to give personal details to buy food surely, to exercise that right I now have to pay a premium.
I don’t want to be a part of the Nectar programme as it asks for unnecessary personal details such as phone number and date of birth. Because I refuse to give these details I now pay a premium for food that is already expensive.
This is a slap in the face for honest consumers who just want to buy food without being profiled. I will not be blackmailed. Just because other stores are doing it, it does not make it right.
I will no longer use this store and explore the legalities of it as it feels like discrimination to me.
Absolute rubbish. Everything I ordered on the Heinz offer conveniently substituted this morning so then not on
Offer. You have a van in the car park
To do collections. Poor show will never return
