Absolutely love using the smart shop app. You’re able to scan and pack as you go and then Just scan the QR code at the till. No unloading to the conveyor etc.

Large supermarket that could benefit from some tlc eg. Roof often floods, many of the parking spaces are on a hill, trolleys often have wheels that stick etc. on the plus side the staff are usually pleasant to deal with and theres quite a big choice and good nectar savings too with a petrol station.

More expensive than Morrisons (who have gone downhill) and Aldi (who’s limited stocks are great value) and Tesco (who are superior to Morrisons). Good selections, free car park, a bit slow at checkout, friendly staff.

Medium sized store with good selection, especially clothes and non-food. Helpful staff and combination of low-cost and high quality options with plentiful offers. Free parking nearby

Excellent breakfast well worth the wait only down side is no extraction so therefore clothes smell if fried food ,there is an extractor in the kitchen but cook seems reluctant to put it on ,think in a cafe thus is against food hygiene regs

A good size Sainsbury’s. Prices are reasonable. Parking is good, includes under cover parking for when it’s slinging it down. I don’t normally give more than 3 stars to supermarkets as they are all pretty much the same but, I gave this store an extra star as all the staff I have dealt with there are really nice and helpful.

Big store with a big clothing section and regular groceries. The home and jotchen, toys, garden sections are relatively small. The prices are good with Nectar and have some good bargains. Parking is free without any time limit, which is awesome.

  1. Nice big store with lots to buy plenty of stock and variety, even though the car park was quite full , due to the size of the store there was plenty of room to social distance , there is a good range of products and services , the prices are comparable to the other big supermarkets but in some cases they have a greater choice. Will definitely be going back regularly

  2. Easy to park, staff very friendly.
Often staff run off feet trying to look after self checkouts, authorising certain purchases etc.
Fruit and veg area needs managing better, either very empty or over stocked so you find loads of yellow brocoli etc

  3. I went midweek in the afternoon, and the first thing that struck me was: NO BACKGROUND MUSIC!
    Oh, it was *wonderful*!
I’m going deaf in one ear and have awful tinnitus, so being able to wander round without that *awful* cacophony of noise was bliss.
The atmosphere within the shop was different, too. People seemed more relaxed; I even saw several people SMILING.
I don’t know if the ‘music’ was intentionally off, but shopping with no wailing and screeching in the background was heavenly and long may it continue!

  4. Horrible environment. Took my 5 year old son here to get some groceries and he was having a bit of a tantrum. The amount of looks people were giving us was disgusting. People just staring rather than minding their own business. No music in the shop and staff staring as well.

  5. Its a big supermarket. It sells stuff you need. I needed hummus and other middle class necessities, they had it and I bought it. Mission accomplished.
