4 months agoTesco make the parking experience of shopping so difficult. Though I can appreciate parking can be abused most people are genuinely using the store, but to Tesco everyone is guilty until proven innocent. After using the store and trying to use the website later on in the day to register the parking the receipt provided at the checkout had no code to input. No additional receipt came out and spent over the £5 requirement. Used the useless WhatsApp customer service, their honest suggestion was to drive back to Hereford from Swansea to speak to someone in store as their general customer service has nothing to do with in store queries. Was told to just wait for the parking fine in the post. Appreciate companies this size simply don’t care as have plenty of customers to replace one, but over time these things add up, no wonder there market share has never hit 28% since 2017. Fantastic service, keep it up 👍🏻.10 months agoMy first time at this superstore and very impressed how centrally located within Hereford it is. There is a large underground car park underneath (entrance a bit hidden off Victoria St, on the left, by the turn off for Bewell St), with ramp and lifts to the shop floor which is ground level. Parking is free for up to 2 hours if you spend a min £5 in store (no return within 1 hour), which makes it very convenient to combine with other stops in the city centre. The self-service tills automatically give out a printed code voucher with the receipt. You use the code/scan bar code at the parking machine with your number plate. The store itself seems to have a large selection of products. There is also a cafe and a Timpsons. Bring your club card to get reduced prices on a lot of products (forgot mine)a year agoHandy if in town, fair sized shop. Personally I don’t like the car park, it’s quite tight. Prefer the larger store in Belmont.a month agoExcellent parking facillities and a wide range of products on sale7 months agoI had a very bad experience with an elderly lady staff called Jacki when I was buying some wine in a self service till. I’m 39 years old and she challenged to show my ID, what I promptly did and she wants to get this on her hand to check it! When I complaint, she treated me saying she would cancel my shop! I felt very embarrassed. I do shop on this store weekly, what I probably won’t anymore.

5 years agoGreat garage and good prices. . Also great car wash .3 weeks agoA good car wash when it’s working7 months agoWell stocked friendly place to stop for petrol. The car wash is a bit slow!!2 years agoUsually quite decent petrol station, tidy with good prices. However lately there have been changes that don’t make sense: new two people limit on people inside the shop (according to covid guidelines supposedly) when everywhere is actually opening up… To make matters worse, pump payment has been deactivated. Makes zero sense. People now wait in line outside the shop to pay for petrol. Not to mention the rude staff member who barks this at as you enter. Some politeness goes a long way.
a year agoExpensive compared to independant garage at leintwardine which is selling petrol at 173 and diesel at 182 tesco approx 14penve dearer per litre

Overall a pretty decent Tesco store. I’ve been frequenting it since it opened, even watched it being built!
It was what Hereford needed at the time to serve the people on the Southside of Hereford where there were no supermarkets whatsoever and yet 5 well established housing estates (Hunderton, Putson, Hinton, Redhill & Newton Farm) and one more up & coming (Belmont),Tesco played a very good card building this store.
Obviously around 15yrs later Asda joined the party but Tesco had a very good run of it.
The store was expanded around 2004 to incorporate its clothing ranges amongst other goods such as electrical etc.
It has a large car park, again extended when they moved the PFS.
Well set out and we’ll maintained cafe within Tesco. Good service and worth stopping off after a shop.
Their fruit & veg is not fresh. Their prices have increased yet again and they have reduced clubland bonus.
Sometimes hard to find things you need as in some cases they’ve stopped stocking the item.
Only go here as its close to home, otherwise would shop elsewhere.
Lady with dyed black hair was particularly rude any unhelpful when I asked where I could find the double cream. She looked me up and down before vaguely pointing me in the right direction. I do not appreciate this judgement.
I purchased a bread knife, paid for it at checkout, but I had to collect actual knife from customer service, as a safety precaution.
However they did not have stock, so I was given a refund.
Surely the level of stock could be identified before charging my card? I have Not received a refund three days later! But my card was charged immediately!
I tried to telephone customer service, which is almost impossible! But after several attempts got through, had no satisfaction from her reply, I asked to speak to manager she agreed, but then I was cut off!
Is this typical of Tesco customer service?
I wonder what service I would have received from other supermarkets?
Do management read these reviews? And take action?
