Massive supermarket with a good range of products. Has a lifeless feel about it which is quite depressing. Also feels more expensive than the likes of Tesco.

It’s not what it used to be. I live outside of the country so this is my first time in it for a few years. It seems a little tired and less well staffed. Stock was alright but it’s very self service centric. One staffed till with several customers who clearly prefer to be served, and a dozen self serves.

Great store, customer services could be a lot quicker but apart from that, staff are friendly, items in store are good. Could be a more streamline operation however.

Not been to Sainsburys Sprucefield for a long time, they closed my local one in Craigavon over a yr ago. The store was very busy, and you could really see the price difference. They do send me the offer booklet, this time it was spend £70 get £9.00 of. I personally didn’t need that much, nor had £70.00 to spend. Think it will be a while before I’m back

Delivery slot was 18.00-1900, I left my 17.5 year old daughter in the house as I’d a quick errand to run. Driver arrived at 18.02 and refused to leave the order with my daughter, no alcohol in the order it was just fruit and veg. She phoned me and I stated that I was coming into the village. I arrived home at 18.04 and phoned the Sainsbury’s,. A store manager Damien phoned me back and advised of the policy (over 18) and the driver couldn’t wait 2 mins as he’d other calls: I was then advised the driver had 11 stops but could maybe call back this evening but couldn’t give me a timeframe or even a confirmation that it would be delivered this evening. I declined as I was home on my own with my daughter and didn’t want to face a disgruntled driver. So if I can give any advice it to ensure that someone over 18 is at home and be mindful that Sainsbury’s aren’t flexible at all, even 2-3 mins.

Friendly staff, decent selection, but fresh veg is hit and miss at times. They do have an ok sushi place inside, but it’s very basic and very pricey. Nice cakes though. Bread not as good as the leading competitor (rhymes with best co). But, on the whole, very good. Great parking too.

My contactless didn’t work recently when I was in store, the staff member behind the till and one of the floor staff said they would stay an extra 10 minutes when they were just about to close to wait for me to get someone I knew to come and help, this was a very nice gesture as they went out of their way to help me just when they where about to close

How to Shop Smart at Sainsbury’s Northern Ireland: A Quick Tutorial

Shopping at Sainsbury’s is a convenient and enjoyable experience. Whether you are a new customer or a frequent shopper, here is a simple guideline to help you navigate through the store efficiently:

1. Plan your shopping list: Before heading to Sainsbury’s, take a few minutes to make a shopping list. This will help you stay focused and prevent you from forgetting any essentials.

2. Check for discounts and offers: Sainsbury’s provides various discounts and offers on a wide range of products. Make sure to check their website or app to see if any items on your list are on sale or have special promotions.

3. Grab a shopping trolley or basket: Depending on the size of your shopping trip, choose a shopping trolley or basket that suits your needs. Keep in mind that Sainsbury’s also offers self-checkout options, so you can easily handle a smaller shopping trip with just a basket.

4. Navigate through the store: Sainsbury’s stores are well-organized, with clear signage to help you find what you need. Start by following the main categories such as fruits and vegetables, dairy, meat and poultry, canned goods, etc. If you are unsure about something, don’t hesitate to ask a store employee for assistance.

5. Compare products: Sainsbury’s offers a variety of brands and options for most products. Take your time to compare prices, read the labels, and choose what suits your preferences or dietary needs.

6. Consider the store’s own brand: Sainsbury’s has a range of high-quality own-brand products, often at a more affordable price compared to other brands. Don’t hesitate to try them out as they can offer excellent value for money.

7. Don’t forget the non-food section: Sainsbury’s also has a non-food section where you can find various household items, toiletries, and even clothing. Take a quick browse through this section to check if there’s anything you need.

8. Checkout and payment: Once you have gathered all your items, head to the checkout counter. Depending on the store, you can choose between self-checkout or cashier-assisted checkout. If you prefer self-checkout, follow the instructions on the screen and make sure to scan all your items correctly. For cashier-assisted checkout, place your items on the conveyor belt and wait for the cashier to process them. You can pay with cash, card, or mobile wallet options such as Apple Pay or Google Pay.

  1. Always good selection of products and well stocked. Staff always visible around store if needed.
Checkout staff could be a little bit more considerate when scanning products while customer packs. Some really go too fast and are quite heavy handed with products .

  2. Great craft and international beer selection, plus the lady at the tills asked me for ID despite me being well past legal age and therefore can do no wrong.

  3. Prices are great, and there’s a good selection of products, but there are other branches nearby that have a much better selection.

Store was also felt very dreary when I was in. Lighting seemed a bit dim and there was no music playing. Softer lighting and a bit of music/radio would make the place a lot more pleasant.

Good place for groceries. We don’t go here often, but when we do, we never have anything bad to say bout this place.

    Staff are friendly and helpful.

  5. Horrendous customer service by the blonde woman in her 50s at the “customer service” counter. Went out of her way to be unhelpful and nasty. Ran after me as I was walking away in disgust after her behaviour to throw another attack at me. Never seen anything like it! I’m a quiet mannered person – this woman was deranged.
