What to Consider When Visiting a Barbershop in Cambridge
When going to the barbershop in the United Kingdom, there are several things to consider to ensure a successful experience. Whether you’re getting a simple trim or a completely new hairstyle, keep the following factors in mind:
- Choosing the right barber: Research and read reviews to find a reputable barber who specializes in the type of haircut or style you are looking for. Look for someone with experience and who understands your hair type and texture.
- Booking an appointment: Many barbershops in the UK operate on an appointment-only basis, especially in larger cities. It is essential to call ahead and book a slot to avoid disappointment or long waiting times.
- Knowing what you want: Have a clear idea of the hairstyle you want before arriving at the barbershop. This will help the barber better understand your vision and provide the desired result.
- Communicating effectively: Clearly communicate your preferences and expectations to the barber. Be open to their suggestions and advice, as they are professionals who can offer valuable insights.
- Understanding pricing: Ask about the price of the haircut or style beforehand to avoid any surprises. Some barbershops may have different pricing for different stylists or variations in the complexity of hairstyles.
- Being punctual: Arrive on time for your appointment to ensure a smooth process and avoid inconveniencing both the barber and other clients.
- Hygiene and cleanliness: Choose a barbershop that prioritizes cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring that equipment and tools are sanitised thoroughly between customers.
- Feedback and loyalty: If you are satisfied with the services provided, consider providing positive feedback or leaving reviews to support your barber and promote their business. Building a loyal relationship with a trusted barber is beneficial for future visits.
By considering these factors, you can have a great barbershop experience in the United Kingdom and come out with a hairstyle that exceeds your expectations.

2 weeks agoGreat clean barbershop, the staff are friendly and always provide the best service. If you’re looking to get a fresh trim i would definitely consider going to Cambridge City Barbers!a month agoI have been going to these local barbers for a while, messed my trim every time but me being me I gave them a chance again and again but now I have come to the conclusion that there are only 2 people in that barber shop that you can actually call a barber. On one occasion I parted my hair and asked for it to be cut just a little, the brother cuts it all off with a machine, probably some miscommunication etc but then he proceeds to push my box back without even realising until I pointed it out.Whateva he ain’t a barber Ik to avoid him so next time I needed a trim I went to the other guy (top right corner) this young lad gave me a high fade instead of what I intended to get a mid-fade. Why would I trust someone that don’t even know the differences between high/mid/mid-low/low etc Especially if I’m paying £21 for a skin fade it’s a joke!
2 weeks agoDoesn’t undertand their own craft, unprofessional as the barber was on his phone alot, I live aboard and came for my father’s funeral and because of the companies incompetency of employing trained staff and time consumption i missed the prayer for my father. I would not recommend them if anyone is looking for barbers in Cambridge5 months agoHaircut quality is very poor. Don’t feel like they do it professionally. I had to go to another shop to fix what they had done. AND ITS VERY EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT THEY DO. They say they give student offers but that is to attract people, they never give. Totally avoid guysa month agoVery professional and friendly staff, all talented barbers. Never had a problem with a cut

I’ve been taking my boys over to Barnwell Barbers since their first hair cuts.
Everyone is very welcoming when you walk through the doors.
Reece has been cutting my boys hair for a while now. He’s great with children and does an amazing job with my boys hair.
Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a friendly barbers and a good cut.
I’ve been to Barnwell Barbers a few times now. Had my hair cut by a different person everytime and it’s always been good quality and a pleasant experience. They are very accomadating and friendly would highly recommend it!
My son says best barbers in town and he will only go to Archie but if he’s not available then he will see someone else. Always have a happy boy after leaving 🙂
Used to go to a chain barbers, but have started getting my hair cut at Barnwell Barbers for a little while now. Everyone here is friendly and welcoming which is evident by the amount of people who come in just to say hello and not even get a hair cut. They will always acknowledge you as you enter and offer you a coffee which is a nice touch.
I’ve always felt comfortable with the service here no matter who is cutting my hair and am always extremely pleased with the result! I also bring my autistic nephew here; Archie and Reece have always been very understanding and patient with him so a big thanks to them! Great service all around and I’m much happier supporting a local business.
I’ve taken my son there quite a few times and the guys are always fantastic with him, not just a good haircut but making it fun experience too. Only once the standard wasn’t as great as other times but the barber is now gone and the service is back to the usual 5 stars.
