A Comprehensive Guide to Using a Self-Service Car Wash

Using a self-service car wash can be a simple and cost-effective way to clean your vehicle. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use a self-service car wash:

  1. Locate a Self-Service Car Wash: Use search engines or apps to find a nearby self-service car wash station.
  2. Prepare Your Vehicle: Remove any personal belongings, trash, or loose objects from the car’s exterior.
  3. Choose Your Service: Most self-service car washes offer different cleaning options, like soap, rinse, wax, etc. You may need to insert coins, bills, or a credit/debit card to select the desired service.
  4. Pre-Rinse: Before applying soap, use the high-pressure rinse to remove loose dirt and debris.
  5. Apply Soap: Select the soap option and use the wand to spray your car. Start from the top and work your way down, covering all areas.
  6. Scrub if Necessary: Some stations provide a foam brush. You can scrub your car to remove stubborn dirt. Be gentle to avoid scratching your car’s paint.
  7. Rinse: After scrubbing, choose the rinse option to wash away the soap. Again, start from the top and work your way down.
  8. Wax (Optional): Some self-service car washes offer a wax option. Apply this if you want a protective coating on your vehicle.
  9. Dry Your Vehicle: Use the provided air dryer or a microfiber towel to dry your car. Drying by hand can prevent water spots.
  10. Vacuum Interior (Optional): Some locations have vacuum stations to clean your car’s interior. Insert coins or pay as required.
  11. Inspect Your Vehicle: Do a final walk-around to ensure all areas are clean and to your satisfaction.
  12. Follow Safety Guidelines: Always adhere to the instructions and warnings provided at the car wash station. Wear appropriate clothing, and be mindful of slippery floors.
  13. Leave the Bay Clean: If there’s a trash can, dispose of any garbage. Put away any provided tools like brushes back where they belong.
  14. Exit Promptly: Be mindful of others waiting and exit the wash bay in a timely manner.

Remember, every self-service car wash might have slightly different equipment and procedures, so take a moment to read any posted instructions or ask for assistance if needed. Self-service car washes are typically open 24/7 and can be a convenient way to maintain your car’s appearance.

Sense they put in new washing system. It seems to do better cleaning your vehicle then the old system they had did. The prices for car washes ha e changed as well and there top wash is 15 dollars now.

Does a very good job. The lighting features in the car wash are pretty cool. I like to buy the 10 washes for $125. Just pull up, scan my phone and go in.

I have gone to this car wash several times with a couple different vehicles and, unfortunately, it just doesn’t remove all of the dirt and dust. Within minutes after a wash, you can see all of the dirt and dust that remains on the vehicles. It does remove the very loose particles, but it seems like there’s not enough water pressure to get a good wash.

Use this wash alot . And most times it has plugged polish spray tips so it just drops foam on the floor around your veichle . The air blowers for drying need to be positioned better never seems to dry off the box sides of my truck .. overall this wash works but could use more maintance and some upgrades.

I like to wash my own car cuz I take my time and that’s also the issue when u pay by minute. That’s a big deal and I didn’t get to wash my car for under $10.00 I had to keep adding quarters an beep beep but that’s that. I like going to this wash regardless..

Have to admit, after a rather rocky start (tried going through twice and couldn’t get it to work), the owner showed up and made good on our car washes. He was super kind and helpful!

Second time I’ve been there, put $4 in and there was no soap. Try and call the owner but there is no place to leave a message.

Needs major updating. Didn’t clean my car barely. Had to go through twice to get it somewhat cleaned and it was only dusty. Glad they’re putting a new one in town soon

  1. I love that we have another pet wash in Perham! The other one in town had burning hot water that wasn’t adjustable. I also like how the tub has a side walk up instead of directly into the tub, making it a little less stressful for the fur babies. The car wash also has a soft touch option or touch-less, affordable prices! Photo is until I remember to take one next when I go!

  2. Absolutely the worst car wash I ever stopped at. Didn’t get the car clean are all. Definitely not worth the cost.

  3. Took my Shiht zu in for a pet wash, the tub was filthy and glogged with a bunch of white fur. The water temp is too hot for a dog. The blow dryer is a joke! The CHAIN to hook to the dog is big enought for a horse. Would not recommend this place!
