What to Consider When Visiting a Barbershop in Glasgow
When going to the barbershop in the United Kingdom, there are several things to consider to ensure a positive experience. These include:
- Research: Before choosing a barbershop, it is important to research and read reviews to find a reputable establishment. This will help ensure a professional and skilled barber.
- Services: Consider the services offered by the barbershop. Different establishments may specialize in certain styles or techniques, so it is important to find one that suits your specific needs.
- Location: Choose a barbershop that is conveniently located to avoid long travel times. Consider factors such as parking availability and accessibility by public transportation.
- Hygiene: Look for a barbershop that maintains high standards of hygiene. This includes clean equipment, sterilized tools, and proper sanitation practices.
- Barber’s Expertise: Find out about the barber’s experience and qualifications. A skilled and knowledgeable barber will be able to provide a professional haircut and offer advice on styling and maintenance.
- Customer Service: Consider the level of customer service provided by the barbershop. Friendly and attentive staff can enhance the overall experience and make you feel comfortable and valued as a customer.
- Pricing: Compare the prices of different barbershops. While it is important to consider the cost, it is equally important to prioritize quality and expertise over saving money.
- Atmosphere: Consider the atmosphere and ambiance of the barbershop. Some people may prefer a more relaxed and casual environment, while others may prefer a more traditional or upscale setting.
- Additional Services: Some barbershops offer additional services such as hot towel shaves, beard trims, or styling products. If you are interested in these services, make sure to choose a barbershop that offers them.

in the last weekThe staff in here have always been sound. It’s a relaxed atmosphere and the barbers know their stuff. Louis was cutting my hair today, I’ve got really thick curly hair and most barbers have no idea what to do. Louis was confident and relaxed when cutting my hair. He knew how to style it and was clear with instructions on how to maintain it. Honestly this place is worth the money you’re in good hands no matter who’s cutting your hair.a week agoThat was my 2nd time going to Louis at Paragon and it was a great service. The first time, I was in a rush and Louis managed to squeeze me in. The atmosphere is so chilled and relaxed. Lewis always does an excellent cut, I can’t imagine going anywhere else now. In fact, I won’t be going anywhere else for my hair. Very reasonable prices as well, if anything they could be increased. I’ve paid much much more in more expensive salons and they’ve not delivered the cut that Louis has or the level of service. I had to take work calls whilst Louis was cutting my hair and he wasn’t bothered and continued to cut. 10/10 would highly recommend.3 weeks agoThe best haircut experience I’ve ever had. As someone who often finds going to get my haircut very intimidating I was very impressed. Keiran cut my hair, he was really friendly and very knowledgeable, so I instantly felt confident that I was going to get a good haircut. My haircut was exactly what I wanted, and the atmosphere was so friendly and relaxed, so I would definitely recommend Paragon.a week agoI come here by train from Falkirk and it’s definitely worth it. High standard haircuts from skilled professionals. Very happy with my trim, Would ask for Louis who was very good to talk to!2 weeks agoHands down worth every penny spent when getting my hair cut here. Louis has bundles of experience for such a young age and shows genuine care and passion into every haircut he has given me. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for the all around hospitality and experience of a barbershop. Keep at it troops.

First visit for me, didn’t have an appointment but they managed to fit me in. My hair and beard were trimmed by Paul (a really nice friendly guy ) who is very knowledgeable and skilled. I asked his expert advice and I’m grateful that I did as I’m absolutely delighted with the end result, was given a first class haircut and beard trim. Can honestly say it’s without doubt the best haircut I’ve ever had, left the premises on a high and with a “feel good factor ” which is a first for me. Will never go to another barbers again, grateful thanks to Paul and staff.
Been getting my hair cut by Paul for 17 years and I think that’s almost praise enough. Very friendly and well in formed you can always have a good stimulating chat during the hair cut. An absolute perfectionist who I very highly recommend.
Louise’s haircutting skills are truly remarkable! I was more than pleased with the outstanding service she provided. Her expertise and knowledge in hairstyling were evident throughout the entire process. She listened attentively to my preferences and offered valuable advice. I left the barbershop feeling confident and delighted with the results. Without a doubt, Louise is a talented hairstylist, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic haircut experience!
