Top-Rated Hair Care Products Every Man Should Own
When it comes to hair care, it’s not just women who want to keep their locks in top condition. Men in the United Kingdom are also conscious about their hair and seek out the best products to achieve their desired hairstyle. Whether you’re looking to tame unruly hair, add volume, or promote hair growth, there’s a wide range of hair care products available in the UK market specifically designed for men.
1. Shampoo and Conditioner:
- Avoid harsh sulfates that can strip the hair of its natural oils and instead opt for a gentle shampoo and conditioner set. Look for products that contain nourishing ingredients such as keratin, vitamin E, and jojoba oil to maintain hair health.
- Consider a specialized shampoo for specific hair concerns, such as anti-dandruff shampoos or those formulated for oily or dry scalps.
2. Styling Products:
- Pomades: Ideal for creating slick, shiny looks, pomades provide a strong hold and are perfect for achieving classic hairstyles.
- Clay: For a more matte finish and a natural look, clay products offer a strong hold with added texture. They’re great for creating messy, tousled styles.
- Wax: Wax provides a medium hold and is versatile for a range of hairstyles. It’s particularly effective for thick or coarse hair.
3. Hair Growth Treatments:
- Nourishing serums and treatments that stimulate hair growth and improve hair density are popular among men. Look for products with ingredients like biotin, caffeine, and saw palmetto to promote hair growth and prevent hair loss.
- Scalp massages and invigorating treatments are also great for promoting blood circulation and maintaining a healthy scalp.
4. Hair Brushes and Combs:
- A good quality brush or comb can make a significant difference in your hairstyling routine. Look for brushes with natural bristles for smoother results and combs with wide teeth for detangling.
- Investing in a boar bristle brush can help distribute the natural oils from your scalp throughout your hair, resulting in healthier and shinier locks.
5. Supplements:
- For those looking to enhance their hair health from the inside out, there are various hair growth supplements available. Look for supplements that contain essential vitamins and minerals like biotin, vitamin E, zinc, and omega-3 fatty acids.
- Check with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplements to ensure they are safe and suitable for you.
By incorporating these top hair care products into your grooming routine, you can achieve and maintain the hairstyle you desire while keeping your hair healthy and strong.

11 months agoAlways ask for Hasan. Happy to wait for him when busy. Only hair cut that I’ve been happy with in recent years so keep going back. Full shave is good too.a year agoWorst haircut i could ever get in my life. Got my haircut from guy named Hasan or something starts from ‘H’. He made me so short which would take another month to grow now. No proper finishing. He didn’t bother to know what i want, all he did what he wanted and he thought what would look good.a year agoMoved to Stirling 5 years ago, this is where you get the best haircut, nowhere else comes close to this shopA great team in here, seen quick, no appointments just then up and your sorted
4 years agoBe very precise in what you want. I went in for a haircut, and left without half of my eyebrows. Overall the haircut looks good, but without asking they decided to run the shaver (on a very short setting) over my eyebrows. Having very light eyebrows it’s difficult to see what’s left.a year agoI am a regular customer. Always get a good service. Always get exactly the haircut and shave I am looking for.

I needed a stand-in barber, and this place was great. There’s no need to book as they take walk-in’s. My only criticism is cash only, but overall a great experience.
I hate to create bad press on my local barbers as it can be a difficult job at times, and so I find it hard to mess up a simple fade as a qualified barber.
It has to be one of the worst outcomes i’ve had from a barber shop
I will not name the barber from this shop publicly as a matter of respect but they represent the shop as a whole. I know that they have experience in this shop and unfortunately I cannot recommend this place to anyone. A barber should be experienced in this field and this level of work is on par with a covid lockdown trim from one of the mates
I have been going to Barnton Street Barbers since moving through to Stirling 3 years ago and do not have a bad word to say about the place. Elizabeth usually cuts my year and does a great job. Alison, Robert, Nicky, Grant and everyone else involved are always very friendly and create a great atmosphere. Despite the numerous competitors nearby, I have never been tempted to go anywhere else.
Reasonably priced, good haircut. Always great and friendly service, never had a problem and have been a customer for a good few years
Super friendly, professional, excellent speedy haircut. Great with kids.
