I’ve used this Tesco Express a multitude of times over the past few weeks. Always smiling and helpful staff, a good selection of meal deal sandwiches, drinks and snacks as well as a small but adequate range of alternative drinks, snacks etc…this is an Express, not a large supermarket, location. I am aware that prices are slightly raised over supermarket prices but that’s the price you pay for convenience and having choice on your doorstep

Good selection of items, especially for the meal deal.

Edited my review to reflect changes as a result of previously complaining to main Tesco support. Previously left a negative review about the the smell in the store, and suspected lack of care with cleaning equipment. Happy to say that this seems to be addressed.

Regular visitor to this shop for many years, living on the Quays. The last 3 visits have been awful, the shop smells dreadful, particularly near the main door. Just like someone has been sick! The customer service use to be very good, staff extremely helpful, polite and cheerful. Now shortage of staff, most look unhappy. On my last visit I asked for 2 bags, the staff member not only was rude but charged me for 4 bags. I take responsibility for not going back and telling him but really didn’t want to go back into the smelly environment .

Love the staff in this Tesco which I go often since it’s close to me. However, whilst the recent addition of the evri parcel shop is welcome, it is disappointing that the drop off service is most times at maximum capacity. Can this service be improved please? I’ve tried complaining to evri but it’s futile with them.

A decent selection of stock, and the staff are always lovely. But living close by I’ve been using this place regularly for over a year, and it always smells truly awful inside. Hats off to the staff who put up with it all day, I don’t know how they manage it. But it’s manageable if you’re just nipping in and out

Today there was extremely disgusting situation. When I came to the shop, I saw pecan pastries on the floor. I noticed how worker put these pastries back to the shelves. It was in between 9:30 and 10 am. It is inappropriate to put something without packaging back from the floor. I’ll never buy this items here anymore and don’t recommend.

Other shops have trash bin near the bakery section because sometimes waste happens but this one shop has no solution, and it looks like the general situation with pastries on the floor.

Worst Tesco I have ever seen (personal was OK). Not ONE door of the freezing compartments does close correctly. Besides tremendous waste of energy the food products are not stored at needed temperature and best before date is not relayable any longer.

They are a listed parcel drop off but are never “able to accept” parcels, its either too late and the crate is full, the driver hasn’t turned up, or some other strange excuse. Why be a drop off point if you can’t fulfill this.

Right. Here we go. The review you’ve all been waiting for.

    What you wanna do is get yourself;

    1. The breakfast triple sandwhixh 2. Can of monster 3. Balsamic vinega + seasalt kettle crisps. £3. Sorted.

Some research suggests that you’re getting a bigger saving by getting the innocent smoothie, but if you do that, the only thing you’re saving is yourself – from growing some balls. Innocent smoothies are for people who can’t handle the eye contact from when you get “Age Checked” for your monster, circa Jamie Oliver.

Now you can get yourself a healthier option, but what are you, a cop or something?

The best store if you know what you are doing, but I have seen someone get a prawn sandwhich with a soreen as the snack so perhaps training is needed before you’re allowed to buy a meal deal

I have complained to Tesco Head office about this store. Yesterday lunchtime there was no one on the door restricting access meaning there were too many people in store. There was no evidence of the staff enforcing social distancing. At one point I was stood a till while the girl got help with the Lottery machine. During this time another member of staff brought two customers to the next till and had them stand within a metre of me.

Tesco in Salford: Do’s and Don’ts Every Shopper Should Know

When shopping at Tesco, there are certain rules and guidelines that customers should follow to ensure a smooth and positive experience. These rules help maintain order and promote a safe shopping environment for everyone.

Here are some important rules to keep in mind while shopping at Tesco:

  • Respect social distancing measures: Follow the floor markers and maintain a safe distance from other customers and staff to minimize the risk of spreading any contagious diseases.
  • Wear a face mask: In accordance with local regulations, it is mandatory to wear a face mask or covering while inside Tesco stores. This helps protect both yourself and others from potential transmission of illnesses.
  • Follow store capacity limits: Tesco may have restrictions on the number of customers allowed inside the store at a given time. Respect these limits and be patient if there is a queue outside the store.
  • Use sanitization stations: Take advantage of the hand sanitization stations provided at the entrance or throughout the store. Regularly sanitizing your hands helps maintain good hygiene.
  • Observe one-way systems: Some Tesco stores may have designated one-way systems to manage the flow of customers. Pay attention to the arrows and signs directing the traffic and follow the designated path.
  • Be considerate and patient: Treat Tesco staff and fellow customers with respect. Be patient while waiting in line, and avoid unnecessary conflict or aggression.
  • Pay with contactless or card: To minimize contact, consider using contactless payment methods or card payments instead of cash whenever possible.
  • Bag items at designated areas: After completing your purchase, move to the designated bagging area to pack your items. Avoid blocking the checkout area or holding up other customers.
  • Follow Tesco’s policies: Adhere to any additional policies or guidelines that Tesco has in place, such as restrictions on certain items or limits on the quantity of products that can be purchased.

By following these rules, you can help create a safe and pleasant shopping experience for yourself and others at Tesco.

  1. I like this Tesco very much. Good parking. Efficient layout. The handheld scanners are pretty cool and help budget while you shop.
They still have enough free ones knocking about, so didn’t lose a star.General tesco store open around the clock.
They sell pretty much everything. grocery, snacks , fresh hallal meat, phones, clothing, magazines, aftershave, toiletries, all under one store, this particular store is very busy and some times the wait can be long.

  2. One star is too kind. This is the worst supermarket in the whole of Salford and Manchester because of their distinct lack of trolleys. Senior citizens, pregnant women, people with children all scouring the car park for trolleys. It’s dangerous and can add at least half an hour onto your visit. Even the RAC man at the bottom of the escalator jokes about it. It’s been going on for months. You are losing customers. Don’t waste your time doing a big weekly shop here- you won’t be able to get it out of the store!

  3. My last visit yesterday (Thursday 25 may 2023)a lot of the shelf’s were empty (sadly) certain staff seem to busy to help thoroughly ( not all the time though, staff generally are helpful) Tesco’s is nicely located to my home 👍

  4. If you don’t have a clubcard don’t bother. It’s a good shop but the prices for non-loyal customers is a joke!! Non-loyal? I’ve been going in here for 30 years but refuse to join yet another card scheme. Sp my spend over over £100 a week is now more like 20 as I only get a couple of items from here now and the rest from other stores

  5. This Tesco supermarket is undeniably huge, boasting a considerable size that sets it apart from its counterparts. However, in terms of offerings, it doesn’t present anything particularly outstanding or unique. One notable aspect is that they seem to have a broader range of ready-made food options compared to other supermarkets under the same brand.

As expected from a Tesco store, you’ll find the usual array of grocery items and household essentials, but there aren’t any standout features that make this location exceptional. It primarily stands out due to its larger size, which allows for a more spacious shopping experience.
