Sainsburys have taken the decision to remove most of the tills and replace them with self serve tills. At best you get one member of staff between four tills, that is at best. Often it is one member of staff between eight tills, begrudgingly a till is opened when the self serve tills are overwhelmed and is closed as quickly as possible!!!! As only half of the self service checkouts are cash this can be difficult for alot of people. Yet another move to replace face to face contact and a cashless society, this is a big failure!!!!

Only ever seem to have 1 till open ,and always seems to close when you approach it, lots of self service tills though, something not quite right about this store, none of the staff seem very happy and feels shabby although looks ok, plenty of stock on shelves

Horrendous they have taken the pay point service. You can not pay your TV licence at the post office next door either. When they open anywhere from 8.00 onwards the shop is NEVER set up for the days business they are always running around trying to set the shop up with customers waiting to be served. All in all a badly stocked and very inconvenient shop. I WILL NOT SHOP THERE EVER AGAIN.

Economical pricing and a good range of products are available here. Argos is a big advantage at this branch for all the other tech and homely needs. Worth visiting this store for your daily needs

Easy to access from main road and inside centre. Parking on rooftop and two lifts for access. Free parking for 1st hour but make sure you input your registration on the machine on the way out as timed and on camera.

1st time been into gosforth branch to check for stock at Argos for friends daughter. Unfortunately didn’t know the layout of the shop and tried to exit from the entry door which abviously set the alarm off. Security man was busy talking to one of the staff so went over to him as I didn’t understand why alarm was going off. He wasn’t very helpful and seem to be more interested in walking away from me instead of explaining that I was leaving the shop by the wrong door hence alarm going off. I think it was the staff he had been talking to that said wrong exit but I had to ask him where exit was and to be quite honest he just came across as very unhelpful. Won’t be going back to this branch in a hurry but at least I’ll know how to get out if god forbid I ended there again.

1. Respect social distancing: It is important to adhere to social distancing guidelines and maintain a safe distance from other shoppers and staff members while shopping. Sainsbury’s has implemented floor markings and signage to assist with this, so make sure to follow these guidelines.

2. Wear a face covering: In accordance with government guidelines, it is mandatory to wear a face covering while shopping, unless you are exempt. This is to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect both yourself and others.

3. Use hand sanitizers and disinfectant wipes: Sainsbury’s has provided hand sanitizers and disinfectant wipes at the entrance and throughout the store. Make use of these facilities to sanitize your hands and wipe down shopping baskets or trolleys before use.

4. Follow one-way systems: Many Sainsbury’s stores have implemented one-way systems to help maintain social distancing. Pay attention to the signage on the floor and follow the designated routes to navigate through the store.

7. Use contactless payment methods: Whenever possible, opt for contactless payment methods such as card payments or mobile payments. This reduces the need for handling cash and minimizes physical contact during transactions.

Remember, following these rules not only helps to keep you and others safe, but also contributes to a smoother and more efficient shopping experience. By being respectful and considerate of fellow shoppers and staff, we can all play our part in creating a positive environment for everyone.

  1. Very good presentation. Different sections for world foods.
Frozen Asian food items are also available.
A good collection of clothes for men, women and kids are also available.
A big parking space is an extra benefit.
Different collection points are arranged next to the parking area.
Same like most of other Sainsbury’s super store fuel station is also located near the store with reasonable price.

  2. Average Sainsbury’s like any other – but there has been a strange finding here – half a cucumber for sale! Waste of plastic and certainly overpriced! Definitely won’t last longer than a full cucumber! I don’t see this product in my local Sainsbury’s which is in a different city.

  3. Not bad shopping place… nothing special … lots of ethnic foods👍👍👍clothing sale sad.. fresh produce very poor ..

  4. Just an insane amount of plastic in the veg area. Feels like it’s growing. If companies like riverford can go plastic free why can’t an operation like Sainsbury’s manage it? They’re leaving such a disgusting mess for our children to deal with – not to mention all the damage to marine life. Plastic recycling is a myth – most of this will get burned or go in landfill.

  5. Disabled parking always easy, my wife likes the TU clothing section and plenty of choice in the food department
