This is a great ‘garage’ supermarket. Open from early morning until late evening. Always a great selection of products for a local supermarket. Staff do an excellent job from stacking shelves to checking one out. Always reliable.

Staff go beyond their duties here, my 18 year old son is a new driver and found himself with a flat tyre. A member of staff changed his tyre for him with a smile and even used his own jack. This is a well stocked store and perfect to have a local store. Many thanks Sainburys (attn Avril Rowland- Manager)

This place use to have really nice staff, now it’s full of lazy no hopers. The shelves are never stacked and it looks really messy. No one working there has any Intrest in the up keep of the store. It’s a real shame how much the standards have fallen. Check out M&S

I often buy my lunch and mid week essentials here. The staff are always very friendly and for a small local store they have a good selection of products

Very convenient from where I live. So handy for food and petrol. Good, usually fresh products. Friendly and helpful staff.

Given this appears to be a small store inside the station there’s a surprisingly large range of items stocked. Even for more than just the essentials you’re likely to find it here and the staff are all friendly. There’s plenty of self-service tills as well as a large staffed one, it’s open until late every day of the week and given there’s no obvious alternatives nearby it’s a handy place!

Went in for a few packets of crisps, they asked me how much I’d just paid, and when I told them mentioned I could actually get a 6-pack of the same crisps for cheaper. They ran and got the packet and refunded me the difference all within 3 minutes so we could make our train. Above and beyond!

Some of the staff were lovely but had an awful experience with one of the lady’s! Not impressed 👎

  1. Pharmacy is now closed down but NHS still allowing prescriptions to go there 3 weeks later. Genius.

  2. No use if you’re time pressed. Self checkouts get in a pickle if you bring your own bags and massive queues at the normal check outs because there are not enough tills on. Plenty staff milling around

  3. Sounds ridiculous, but I forget how good this sainsburys is for parents. Tge parking, selection of items even that they have good trolley and lots available. New cafe looks amazing, even though we didn’t go in!

  4. Good place, but it’s usually low on products on the weekends. Of late the Costa machine hasn’t been working and I don’t think that they realise how many customers they are looking to the Coop across the road.

  5. Staff are pleasant and helpful, shop usually well stocked however… there is A LOT of places where the roof is leaking and has been a problem for over 25 years when first started working there and work has never been taken out.
