Had a nice experience. Customer service is amazing and one customer assistant helped me with finding many things. The shop has almost everything but many things are quite expensive when compared to Tesco/Liddle. The meat-free section was the best and had many plant-based foods. Last but not least don’t forget to use the Nectar card on the counter. Thanks!

Should a Sainsbury store really smell like an open sewer? Well this one frequently does!

Unfriendly staff who do not acknowledge you and products that are frequently close to their sell by date is the norm in this store unfortunately. I’ve bought too many items from this store that are not to the standard they should be and it’s getting frustrating.

I have been standing at the self checkout for 5 minutes needing assistance. There are no staff. This happens every time

Don’t get the negative reviews. Great improvement over the previous shop, and cheaper than some neighbouring shops . Decent range catering for most. Fussy eaters will be less catered for, but it’s a Local, not a superstore, but saying that, the shelves are kept better stocked than the Big Sainsbury’s in Douglas. Bakery is good. Fresh croissants are mighty fine.

Impressions are everything. Staff do not acknowledge customers and if you ask for help finding a product customer assistants are reluctant to help. I have never seen a more dissatisfied bunch of employees, unhappy to serve you and unhappy to be there in the first place. A smile and a polite “hello” or “good morning” with service is always appreciated by customers, this should be noted. I had a very unpleasant experience with a rude member of staff on tills which will result in me not returning and taking my business elsewhere. Adding to this, employees smoking outside in their uniform and another instance of empolyees speaking about customers loudly in ear shot of me. Dreadful, badly trained rude staff. The manner at the till and the level of customer service is disgraceful. I have never seen a manager or supervisor on the floor. This may be part of the issue, they are not aware of how rude their staff come across to the general public, if they are not observing the behaviours. More training needed in customer service!

  1. While all supermarkets are moving to “self checkouts” our branch of Sainsbury’s is pathetic. Red lights take too long to be dealt with and staff are too busy chatting to each other. They’ll be asking us to fill the shelves next!! The selection of products is good but the final part of shopping is poor.

  2. Without doubt the best wine selection of all the supermarkets.
Picked up a primitivo in a cardboard bottle! The wine was actually brilliant. Fantastic for a picnic (or any other time lol)

  3. Has everything I need, but everything I need isn’t always in stock.
Good location. I like their organic range.
