The place is off in the other direction from the city centre. I was staying at Britannia Edinburgh Hotel and it is just about 1.2 miles. It takes about 35mins to walk to the place. The retail centre has a lot of stores and one can do all the shopping at one go

Popped in for a sandwich. Looked like a big store with good parking. Probably won’t visit again as I live 8 hrs away

Ok depends what you’re looking for, some things are ok they do have good selection of saving some of your money, but I have noticed, use all the main super market’s and look at their items for cheap prices all the store’s definitely have some things cheaper than others so use them all as a go between only buy what you need at the end of the day money in the pocket 🤔.

Wednesday 6.30pm only one till open for the whole shop with inescapably a very long queue. Went to the self check out with a full trolley. What a joke. I understand this enormous shop only wants customers to buy no more than a small basket full. Don’t bother going there for your weekly shopping, many other supermarkets nearby.

Well looked after store. The staff are very polite and helpful. Good range of stock, with some decent deals and an enhanced range of more unusual products although this is likely because of location so if you’re needing something more specialised I reccomend coming here.

I visited edinburgh as a tourist.. went to the store purchased some items and made my payment through my card.. the cashier whose name is Mr Muhammad is the only worst guy i met on my whole trip.. he asked me to sign the reciept and immediately asked me to show my signature.. i explained him that i dont have any signature on my card as it is issued by indian bank and instead of this i offered him to show my passport but it even get worst .. he began stating me uk laws and potrayed himself as a lawyer blah blah.. i just wanted to enjoy my holidays and did want to spoil my day so i restrained myself.. everywhere i visited i paid through my card and no body asked to show my card to themselves but this is the only guy i met on my whole trip who was so unthankful and pathetically rude to their customers.. in future never want to visit this store again.. what a pity man..

This is a local Sainsbury which was right by the Airbnb we rented. It was well stocked considering it was pretty small. Yogurt selection was very limited. Fruit good options as well as bakery. Able to buy liquor and while limited options it was convenient. Went daily and was able to get ice, tonic too. Nice for daily staples
    no thanks

Worst sainsbury’s ever. The man working at the lottery ticket/ cigarette till refused to serve me because my ID “is fake” (it is not) he was very rude and snapped my ID right in my face and throwing it on the ground leaving me with no form of ID and no way to get home as it was also my bus pass.

Good location for store bit exspensive for some items… My issue was the staff member on the lottery till no hello thank you or bye me and my sister did wonder if he could talk. But then there was a old lady who was getting served after us who must be a regular he couldn’t have been more friendly if he was on the till again I would just buy a ticket elsewhere.

  1. Really great, large supermarket. They have lots of different brands and products, great fresh bakery, good fresh fruit and vegetable selection, and lots of different gluten free, vegan, sugar free etc options. HEAPS of ready made meals too.

  2. The new barrier system is genuinely annoying as hell. Someone clearly made far too much money on an inconvenient setup. However there’s a middle aged woman at self service me and my guys always chat away to who is lovely. She deserves some recognition for being pleasant.

  3. Nice place to shop for your day-to-day essentials and house-holding items, with friendly staff members there is a lot of other shops as well

  4. I was told you could park here during football only to pay the attendant in cash to park only to get a fine for parking. What a scam I can’t speak to Euro car parks only by the web. I am sick of being ripped off by unreachable companies.

  5. Great shop, very big with lots of different products, so far I’ve always found what I needed!
