How to Maintain Your Car’s Cleanliness Between Hand Washes
Maintaining your car’s cleanliness between washes is essential to preserve its appearance and value. Here are some simple steps to help you keep your car looking clean and tidy:
- Regularly Remove Trash: Dispose of any trash or debris accumulated inside your car. Use a small trash bag or container to keep things organized.
- Wipe Down Surfaces: Use a microfiber cloth and mild interior cleaner to wipe down the dashboard, steering wheel, and other surfaces regularly. This prevents dust buildup and maintains a fresh interior.
- Vacuum Regularly: Vacuum the carpets, seats, and floor mats to eliminate dirt and crumbs. A handheld vacuum or portable car vacuum can be handy for quick cleanups.
- Use Car Mats: Invest in high-quality rubber or carpeted car mats. They can protect your car’s floor from spills and dirt, and you can easily remove and clean them.
- Keep Cleaning Wipes Handy: Keep some automotive cleaning wipes in your car. They can be used to quickly clean surfaces and remove smudges and stains.
- Avoid Eating Inside: Minimize eating inside your car to reduce the chances of spills and crumbs. If you do eat, make sure to clean up immediately afterward.
- Park Thoughtfully: When parking, choose shaded or covered areas to reduce exposure to bird droppings, tree sap, and other debris.
- Use a Car Cover: If you don’t use your car frequently or park it for extended periods, consider using a car cover to protect it from dust and outdoor elements.
- Address Spills Promptly: If any spills occur, clean them up as soon as possible to prevent stains or odors from setting in.
- Rinse Off Dirt: If you notice your car is covered in light dirt or dust, use a gentle spray or rinse to remove it. Avoid high-pressure washing, as it may damage the paint.
By following these tips, you can keep your car looking fresh and well-maintained between regular washes, ensuring it stays in top condition for years to come.

I stopped by this car wash to get a much needed wash today. The outside wash was alright. It did leave some marks on my vehicle that wiped right up with the drying towel they provide. The vacuums is what really let me down. They don’t have any crevice tool vacuums. They are all wide tool. It also doesn’t have the power it needs to get everything up. I hope they can update some things and make it a great place to go.By Michael Smith (in the last week)My 2012 Ford Explorer got stuck in the drying process inside the car wash itself. While I was stuck the strong winds from the drier pried loose a piece of molding from my windshield and ripped it off. I then put my SUV in drive to exit the car wash because the automated track was not allowing me to exit the wash, so I had to drive out on my own. After retrieving the piece of molding from inside the car wash, I then approached an employee who directed me to the manager of the establishment, Mr. Alex Stringer. Mr. Stringer then began to ask me for information beyond the basic contact information to adequately make an attempt to repair my vehicle. After I refused to give him this information, he then went and locked himself in his office and basically told me to take a hike and to call cooperate. I then asked him for the number to corporate, to which he replied (from behind the locked door) to look it up online. I have since called corporate, gotten no response, while my car is still damaged and not repaired. I can only hope that this damage doesn’t happen to anyone else.By G Thompson (3 weeks ago)First time at this wash and from what I understand the new manager, James, has done a wonderful job fixing this place up! I had a great experience; the wash cleaned my car great & the site itself was clean as well! The manager is very kind & takes pride in this site. Highly recommend!By Sara Cole (2 weeks ago)I’ve been pleased with my visits to the car wash. I love having fresh towels and window cleaner available on every visit.
This new addition gives me a much more complete car care experience.By Joe Stanford (The Stanford Zone) (2 weeks ago)I thought the car wash it’s self worked well, did a good job.
Employee only pre washed front and left side of truck, not right side or rear.
Employee cars parked in detailing area.
Took several minutes to come out to direct into conveyor.
A person in front of me did not know how to use card card machine. No one came for the longest time to help them.

I’ve had a membership here for about 3 years never lost a dollar it’s all money well spent. I still buy one of the locations everyday or every other day depending on business but I keep my car clean here and have for years… will likely for years to comeBy Jerome “PirateKing” Johnson II (2 weeks ago)Horrible place. Took my whole side bumper off and the manager told me their wasn’t nothing he can do. My car wasn’t cleaned as well and when asked about it the black manager told me to wipe it off with a towel. Used a towel, and it smeared. Of this is how active military is treated then this place is not for us. Spent $18 and came out with a side bumper that was removed and a dirty car. Horrible service, horrible staff.By Lovedonn (11 months ago)The only place I will go to get my car washed. The vacuums here are so powerful and get my car floors super clean. My only qualm is that they don’t scrub brush your car before you go in into the machine car wash area so you may have to do a little buffing out of the tougher grime yourself at the vacuum area after your car is done washing.By Dare Watson (3 weeks ago)The car wash does a decent job of cleaning the vehicle, but you’ve got to do a lot of pre-washing beforehand. Thankfully they do have a pre wash station available. The vacuums are helpful as wellBy Micah Thompson (5 months ago)The car wash put multiple chips in the paint on my truck and the staff on-site told me that I was stupid for using their car wash system afterward when I complained. Terrible car wash functionality and very poor customer service. I would avoid this company and car wash at all costs. I’ve been to many of the Marc-1 car wash locations but this one is by far the worst.By Joel Bishop (a year ago)

Terrible business and management. This car wash caused structural damage to my vehicle. I was stuck in the wash for over three minutes because the brush got stuck on my vehicle’s antenna and pulled me off the track. I was blowing my horn the entire time I was stuck. Then they continued to send vehicles in behind me causing the vehicle to rear end me and push me forward ripping off my antenna causing structural damage underneath my door and side panel. They refused to do anything about this saying it was my fault since I put my car in drive and drove out of the wash. I only did this because the attendant instructed me to. This was also after the other car rear ended me and started pushing me forward. They also refused to refund me for the incomplete service I paid for. This place should not be operational as I have heard similar stories from other people that have visited this car wash location.
(Tire shine is lame. Really lame. Bring your own.) This is a revision. 6/9/23. I gotta say this place has gotten better with the name change. All the little blinks lights are working, the sensor that recognizes your car actually does, and they have window cleaner, interior conditioner and microfiber towels available. I intended to drop this monthly charge out of my budget, but I have been enjoying going by weekly to stay on top of cleaning my car instead of waiting for it to get filthy then spending an entire afternoon detailing. If they keep their obligations, then I’ll keep paying monthly. Good job!
This place needs a complete makeover! Lots of broken or barely working equipment. It was much better before the new owners took over. The machines to choose your wash and pay don’t work. They ask you what you want when you pull into the wash entrance and then take your card away. No menu to choose from or prices shown! For the price I paid, I expected a much better wash. Lots of dirt still left. The drying process is extremely poor. They give you towels to dry it yourself. The mat scrubber doesn’t work. The bottles of product aren’t labeled so you don’t know what you are spraying. The vacuums barely work so you have to really work hard to get anything up. What’s the point of going to a car wash if I’m going to have to do that much work? I won’t go back.
The workers are always great. The management always under funds things and so it is well below every other car wash in the area, especially Anthony’s in Vestavia. And it is easy to tell that is on the management because 5 or 6 years ago it was much better. They have let it get bad and it’s not only too fast but it doesn’t do a good job. All of their washed in the city of Birmingham are pretty bad.
This car wash got “struck by lightning” over a month ago and STILL hasn’t been repaired. The service time has slowed down tremendously because they have to do each transaction in person.
The employees are AMAZING and don’t complain about the extra work, but I’m paying a monthly fee and expect my service to be quick and convenient.
