I recently visited Waterway Car Wash with high hopes of having my Ford Explorer cleaned inside and out. I opted for the highest package available and even paid extra to ensure that the third row seats and floor mats would be thoroughly washed. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of my expectations.
While the exterior of my vehicle appeared fairly decent after the service, the interior was a different story. The third row seats were left untouched, and the trunk space was neither vacuumed nor wiped down. What frustrated me the most, however, was the neglect of the cup holders. Nearly all of them hadn’t even been touched.
Moreover, it seemed as though they hastily ran a wet cloth across the dash without taking the time to properly clean and treat it. This lack of attention to detail was highly disappointing.
As an honest person seeking quality service, I regret to say that I will not be using Waterway again. I expected a thorough and comprehensive cleaning, especially after paying for their highest package and the additional service for the third row seats and floor mats.
I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for them to improve their service standards and ensure that future customers receive the quality they deserve.
By Sean Dolan (a month ago)Gone down hill. I paid $61 to have Jeep vacuumed, mats washed and cargo area cleaned. They only did the interior. When I returned only the bare surface was cleaned. Dirt mud was everywhere. Additionally they did not clean the cargo area nor mats until I complained. They were great at first quality exists no longer. Never going back.By OverXland _ (2 months ago)I had a car wash and interior clean, which looked nice until everything dried- there are streaks down the side of my car and on both windshields, gummy spots which appear to be soap from the car wash, my dash was barely wiped down, no cupholders or door consoles were cleaned, and there are fingerprints on the side of each door where they were opened. The rearview mirror is full of spots, and the inside of the windshield has more streaks than before the wash. I paid extra for a floor mat clean, and it looks like they just barely sprayed them with water, and when they finally dried they still have mud and dirt on them.By Amanda Oberbroeckling (5 months ago)Tried this place because they have recently renovated and have some pretty good prices advertised. The basic was is $9 which is about the cheapest I’ve found locally. However this doesn’t include use of the vacuums which are for employees only. You have the option to add interior cleaning but I didn’t ask about the price or what that entails.
As for the wash itself, it definitely left more water residue than other touch-free washes and there was more soap after rinsing than other washes I’ve used.
It wasn’t bad, but I don’t think I’d use them again.
By Grant Smith (2 months ago)Cracked the windshield on my brand new car, refused to take care of it. Offered me COUPONS instead. Full story: I had some mud on my car from the recent rain and wet roads. I paid $25 for the service to have the exterior and interior of my car cleaned. Was welcomed by a grumpy teenager. After exiting the car wash, my tires were still COVERED in mud. They proceeded to have me me go through the car wash again. Halfway through, my windshield created a 10 inch crack. The machine stopped halfway through and we were stuck in the middle of the car wash for (not exaggerating) 15 minutes. After finally moving again, I informed the employees of the crack that occurred in their car wash while going through a second time because it didn’t even clean my car the first time. After conversations with these employees and the GM, they have refused to do anything about this insanely expensive incident that happened on their grounds due to their lack of quality the first time around. Their only offer was some coupons (like anyone would want to return). It’s very unfortunate and I’m insanely bummed out about the hundreds of dollars I have to spend to recover from their low-quality products and service. Do not go here.By James Lewis (3 weeks ago)

Seems to have gone down hill a bit with the new ownership. All the people that did a great job on my truck, seem to be gone now. I had my normal exterior wash with tires and wheels done and it was terrible. Because I didn’t have the interior done, I never got out of my truck and when I got home, I looked at my wheels and was beyond disappointed. I tried to go back the following day and apparently I got there too late after work and they were closed. Attached are a couple pictures of the wheel and tire cleaning I paid for. This was on June 2nd I believe.
UPDATE
The manager Nick responded to me regarding my review. I went back to The Auto Spa and Nick fave me a free supreme wash, apologized for my bad experience and thanked me for coming back. I have always had good experiences at this establishment and appreciate them taking care of me on this. I’ll be back. Thanks Nick
By Jason Gibbs (2 years ago)Ok, nice people, they did an ok job. They got me in right away. For spending over $200 dollars I expected more. Yes, the car needed a good cleaning. Wash, wax, shampoo the carpets. Lots of stuff missed, stains on carpet still. Looks like some wax not buffed out, door jams and cracks still partially dirty, bugs on the window still. Trunk wasn’t even touched I don’t think. None of the places seem to have a thorough quality control when “done”.By Paul klink (a year ago)I used to be a fairly loyal customer. 5/23/23, however, was my last time there. The following happened to me the time before and I wrote it up as “new people starting” or “understaffed”. This time, however, was not the case.I paid $35 for a full-service wash, wax and interior cleaning.
The wash and wax was the normal great experience. The rest, not so much.
At Mike’s they have three lanes: Two for full service and one for “Tire Bright”, which goes pretty fast. I entered into Lane 2, behind a white SUV and waited. And waited. And waited while Lane 1 and Lane 3 got serviced. Finally after 40 minutes of waiting, the white SUV was finally able to move forward.
Another 15 minutes passed and the SUV wasn’t done, during which time I watched as one of the attendants took cell calls and vaped. He inhaled in a way that most of the co-workers couldn’t see (but I did) and exhaled into the vacuum hose.
Also, during this time, I watched as three of the attendants (Mr. Vape, a young lady and an older gentleman) looked at me, then went AGAIN to Lane 1 to service them.
By this time, I was LIVID. The SUV pulled off, apparently with a problem and I drove past to park, intending to talk to the manager. Guess what. NO MANAGER, ANYWHERE. I then tried to call the number on the receipt and was asked to enter my access code. What access code?
Upon exiting the building I was approached by a young man who had done the pre-wash work on the cars as they went into the wash and he asked me what my problem was. I started to tell him and he said that the attendants couldn’t tell who got there and when, basically brushing me off, then walked away.
I got to my car to find the windows and most of the rest of the car were STILL DIRTY. AND I was out $35 + tax!
The receipt says I have a 72-hour ‘guarantee’ on the wash, but since it’s probably going to rain I bet they don’t honor that…
If there was a way to score 0 points, I’d do it.
If I were you, gentle reader, avoid the ‘Auto Spa’.
By Jim Clunie (2 months ago)Been there a few times. Had better service before but this time was a joke. Paid for the Premier wash but they missed most if my vehicle because they were too busy yet I was there for 2 hours!!!! For that kind of money you’d think they’d put more effort into each vehicle but it was hit and miss and they missed mine. They definitely need more staff. Would have been better paying the 10 bucks for my wash. And I gave a nice tip too. Too bad for me!!By Michael Ceglia (5 months ago)I wish i would’ve inspected my vehicle better but I’d already been waiting for 1.5 hours. Inspected my truck when i got home, and was still dirty. This was a $60 handwash. I travel for work and have had 10x better job done for half the price. Then they gobbed on tire dressing that is now splattered all over the truckBy William Stewart (3 years ago)

I love this car wash! They not only have a great car wash, vacuum and access to interior cleaning supplies, they also have a great staff. The assistant manager Ernesto makes me feel so welcome each and every time I visit. He talks to me not only about cars and the car wash but he is interested about you as a person. I look forward to see him each time I go.
I love coming here. They are always so nice!! Car wash is great and my car is always so nice after. Love the self clean feature and all of the supplies and tools they provide!! I have the unlimited pass and it is so helpful!
My new go to car wash! The assistant manager (didn’t catch his name) was very nice and didn’t pressure me into a package. This car wash was busy but had plenty of stations for the vacuums. Vacuums we’re great for all the dog hair on my seats. The wash cloth with glass/interior spray bottle station was an extra perk.
Ernesto, the manager of this car wash was very friendly and helpful! He gave me a free wash and was assuring in that I could get a wash even though I had lost a clip in my front bumper. Very professional and nice! I’ll be coming back here again and again. The vacuums were very strong and got all the dirt and debris out of my carpet. The mat wash did an excellent job and the station with clean rags for wipe down after the wash was such a nice touch!
This is one of the best drive-through car washes I’ve been through so I wanted to give them a kudos. A full service car wash is always nice but it’s also nice to have between option at a fraction of the price with some of the same perks. I think the self-service complementary detail center is a nice touch. It allows you to clean up your own interior without bringing a bunch of extra supplies. I also just found out that they have compressed air to help clean out the nooks and crannies, which is one thing I really like about a full service car wash, but could never find at a self-service car wash. I also always felt like the prior ownership group was a little bit pushy in terms of sales. The Take 5 guys are always very pleasant and don’t overly sell the services. Good stuff and nice to have a place like this that is local.
