I wouldn’t recommend using this location until they get their act together. Firstly the machine does a very underwhelming of cleaning the car. Most of the time brushes aren’t working or barely touch the surface, not enough rinse water to remove the soap / wax, the tire shine rarely gets applied and the air dryer is a joke at best. All this on top of being closed randomly every other week makes for a disappointing experience.
This car wash is convenient. I do delivery, so it enables me to swing by right off the highway before or after work. Generally things are smooth but I like the other Chico Surf Thru on Esplanade. It’s far more easier to access the Forest Ave drive through once you know how. The Esplanade Surf Thru is very busy allot of the time except for on off-hours right before they close. They do close somewhat early but they’re open on Sunday. The monthly service is far more reasonably priced. It does require a two month commitment. I highly recommend it. The district customer service is wonderful so if there’s an issue they will fix it. Give them a couple of days to get back to you. I buy the cheapest car wash. I don’t know what the more expensive ones are like. Yes my car does sometimes still need a little more attention but to Surf Thru’s credit my car is sometimes very dirty to start with. Plus if there’s any dirt left on it I simply drive back through. Take the monthly plan. You’ll be glad you did.
This car wash is long and thorough. Two lanes makes it easy to get through and the express lane is great when you buy a membership. Staff is always helpful and courteous.
I went here for the first time not knowing at all how it worked. I somehow missed the entrance signs and parked in the parking areas where i thought you self wash. So i asked an employee what to do and he directed me to the entrance.. I told the “cashier” that I wanted to self wash my old truck. And they never told me that they don’t offer that. So I payed for the *epic* wash thinking that there’s certain things i can use and I parked in one of the spots I thought was where you can wash it yourself. Then I asked the employees what i missed. I had to go back through and they only gave me the express wash. An absolute waste of my money and time. My truck isn’t even that clean. There are still spots on the windows. If I knew how it worked here I wouldn’t have gone. No website to look through either.
Not worth it. $17 dollar car wash, first car of the morning and I should of just washed it at home. Dryer doesn’t even take water off a basic vehicle and too much soap gets caught in spots. I dont know if tire shine is included at this price but the tires came out dull as well. Rip off.
