This is not the place you remember it to be. I simply swipe my card and it charges me for the amount of time that I use. I was in there for 10 to 12 minutes and it only cost $7….
The new owner was there, Mike, very nice guy and was willing to help with whatever questions I had. They took over last December and made several mechanical upgrades to the place.
Pro Tip: Bring your own drying towel, they sell them in the vending machine but they get wet quick.

I have never had a bad experience. Stalls are always clean and with the 2 wash bays in every stall I always find a spot right away. I was a customer of this car wash for between 15 to 20 years. I won’t be returning after the way my fiance was treated By not Only the owner But the local police department. Which I will go into detail after I decide whether or not we are going to Pursue legal action. The automatic wash is a little run down, however, is incredibly affordable due to the monthly subscription. The automatic wash does occasionally close without warning for both maintenance and weather but the owner has gotten much better at giving warnings when the wash will close or if it must close unexpectedly.
The manual wash is amazing. I love having a air dryer in the manual section, I wish all self-serve car washes had one.

Having lived in the area six years prior to his taking ownership, we’ve watched the renovations and are thrilled to have this facility nearby, saving us previous drives into Apple Valley or other neighboring towns to get a good car wash.The Farmington Car Wash, located on Hwy 3 just north of the Dairy Queen, lets you choose between both do-it-yourself car wash bays and Typhoon automatic touch-less car washes to keep our vehicles clean and pristine looking. We keep coming back here because “clean and well-kept” matter to us and clearly it does to the owner too. He is always very pleasant and helpful.
Its 3 bay self-serve wash means that we seldom have to wait. I also like that his vacuums have sufficient strength to get into deep corners within the car. The doors, washing tracks, brushes, and pay stations – all have been upgraded. We rely on the washes good pressure, can easily manage the brush, and it makes an easy transition to the rinse cycle. There is sufficient space for vans, boats and trucks to get around on all sides during a self-serve car wash. If I’m washing the car in low-light hours, it’s nice to have a sense of security because the property is digitally recorded 12/7.
Eric requests that the bays are NOT used to clean super muddy vehicles – and I for one, appreciate this. It means that the rest of us can consistently count of clean, functional, and pleasant bays. There is a handy vending area where we can purchase snacks and drinks as well as basic car care products.
Eric is consistently on hand tending the stations and working on equipment to keep everything in tip-top shape. I highly recommend this place and supporting our local Farmington, MN business owners.

A great car wash. Friendly and reasonably priced. They have do-it-yourself as well as automatic bays. Those automated bays can do a full size cargo van for $11, which is a steal. The price is right and your vehicle comes clean.
In my opinion the best car wash that ive ever used. What really seperates this car wash apart is the owner operator. I ran into the owner awhile back when he was testing upgrading their car wash system. Even though he was busy, jentook 20 minutes out of his night to ask for feedback and explaining exactly how his car wash system works and the cleaning products snd reommendations for my exact vehicle to get the most out of every car wash. Just last night i tried washing my car at 11:00 PM. The car wash wash closed as temperatures dropped well into the negatives. I called the number on the door to see if a recording or an update as to when the car wash will open again. The owner answered his phone himself and gave me a rough estimate of when to come back the next day. He went out of his way to actually send me a message lettinge know which bays were open. I cannot rrcommend this place enough and the owner who by doing the small things and giving that extra bit of customer satisfaction is what makes this the best car wash ive ever used. My car looks llas close to brand new after every wash whether it is in the self service bays or the automatic. Customer for life. Thank you
The vacuum machine says it takes, dollars, quarters, and credit cards. There is a coin slot and a card swipe, no dollar slip. I had to dig around to scrounge up enough quarters, I was not going to put my CC in for just front half of the car. I wanted to use the turbo vac, but I was not sure how that one worked. The menu did not match up with buttons.
The self wash has many different cleaning/spray options and at $4 it’s cheaper than most around. The management there is awesome-very responsive
