I found the store to be very clean with an amazing selection of fresh fruits, veggies and a variety of deli options like salads, cold specialty meats and cheeses. The bakery is somewhat smaller than most grocery stores but what they did have was some vegan options, cookies, a few cakes, pastries and about 2 pie options. Don’t expect the full bakery spread like you normally see at the grocery store tho. I found brands I’ve never heard of and all the common options. For non-alcoholic beer, this is the place. The falafel hut inside the store also has some of the best flavored falafel in town that’s I’ve had so far. Food options are ample, able to get most items including some quality and gourmet ingredients. Parking is good for the area. I really enjoy shopping here and just roaming around the store, finding new and different things to buy. The customer service was spot on and very helpful. I’m not normally in this neighborhood but I heard good things about this store and had to check it out The thing that was a real pleasant surprise was Maha Grill… man you must try it out. There was a good lot attendant who was always willing to help me with my groceries but now that person is gone. She asked me to swipe my card again which I did, and it went through, why I’m standing on the register I checked my bank account and I got charged twice. The young lady had no idea what happened now I’m talking to the manager. I forgot her name I was so upset ,short white lady she tells me oh that’s our system. She was unknowledgeable, disrespectful, and lacked communication and leadership skills. When politely asked by one of the associates working the U-scan, “ Do you know about the happy returns service we offer?” The manager’s reply was aggressive and aggregated, “No, I don’t know! The front desk is closed.” She then looked at the cashier and me with a disgusted glance as if we were a huge burden and kept walking like we had wasted her time. Allow me to add the store wasn’t busy. There was no excuse for her behavior. The product selection is excellent, the service is wonderful, it is all very clean, and the prices are very good. The paper bags, however, are a total disaster! I have had to purchase reusable bags just so my groceries don’t end up on the floor. I don’t know who thought this was a good idea, but they were very mistaken. First time here, it’s like a circus and a grocery store had a baby. They have a wide selection of foods from around the world and the Ole Smokey sipping cream I was looking for. Very cool.
What an amazing “grocery store”. It’s really much more than a grocery store, and the “international market” moniker truly fits. First of all, this place is a lot of fun to just visit. Kids don’t usually enjoy going grocery shopping, but they will here. There are so many interesting sections a varieties of food that we regularly spend hours there just browsing. The prices are average, but there are also some good deals to be had on special items. The beer cave, beer/wine tasting bar, port-a-potty washrooms, fire truck hot sauce aisles, …and I could go on… are pretty unique.
I’m not sure I can find the words to describe how cool this place is. Says it’s one of the top 10 places to bring visitors and I’m so glad the people I was visiting in Cincinnati brought me here. We spent about 2 hours walking around this store that they say is a grocery store but quite honestly it’s got everything you could ever possibly need or want and things you didn’t know you needed or wanted until you’ve seen them here. Their international section is the best I’ve ever seen. They have everything from fresh fish to craft ice cream to clothing and jewelry and coffee and tea and more meat or cheese than you could ever imagine. Don’t forget to stock up on beer and wine while your hair as well, maybe grab a cigar. And there’s a whole toy section for the kids when you first walk in. Super impressed with this place and anyone traveling through this area should definitely stop in and check it out. The jungle outside is a nice touch
This place is simply awesome. It has everything you can think of, from international foods to ostrich eggs. The amazing thing is, this place is always so organized and tidy despite its tremendous size and inventory. Lastly, this market is very kid friendly! We are always welcomed with some some sort of craft or hand out at the Giraffe entrance, something my kiddos look forward to on-top of all the amazing attractions. This is a must see if you live in the Cincy area!
This is a very unique store. You can spend hours here looking at all the items that are not available in most stores. This store has a great selection of Lodge cookware items, wooden cooking utensils from England, and too many cooking items to cover. The frozen meat includes ground yak and ground camel. I never made it to the bakery or produce department due to a lack of time. I am sure the variety in these departments is very extensive. I look forward to my next trip to Cincinnati.
