Hand Car Washes: What You Need to Know

There are different types of hand car washes available, each with its own set of benefits and drawbacks. Here are some of the most common types:

  • Full-service hand car wash: This is the most comprehensive type of hand car wash. It includes washing, waxing, and vacuuming your car, as well as any other detailing services you may want. Full-service hand car washes are typically the most expensive type of hand car wash, but they also offer the highest level of detail.
  • Express hand car wash: This is a less comprehensive type of hand car wash than a full-service wash. It typically includes washing and waxing your car, but it may not include vacuuming or other detailing services. Express hand car washes are typically less expensive than full-service washes, but they also offer a lower level of detail.
  • Touchless car wash: This type of car wash uses high-pressure water jets to clean your car without any contact from the wash brushes. Touchless car washes are typically the most affordable type of hand car wash, but they may not be as effective at removing dirt and grime as other types of hand car washes.
  • Self-service car wash: This type of car wash allows you to wash your car yourself using the equipment provided by the car wash. Self-service car washes are typically the most affordable type of car wash, but they can be time-consuming and messy.

The best type of hand car wash for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences. If you want the highest level of detail, then a full-service hand car wash is the best option. If you are on a budget, then a touchless car wash or self-service car wash may be a better option.

Here are some additional factors to consider when choosing a hand car wash:

  • The size of your car: Larger cars will typically take longer to wash than smaller cars.
  • The level of detail you want: A more comprehensive wash will typically take longer than a basic wash.
  • The time of day you get your car washed: Car washes are typically busiest during peak hours, such as weekends and evenings.

Ultimately, the best way to find the right type of hand car wash for you is to try out a few different options and see what you like best.

I went to this carwash all the time when I lived in HB. Went back there recently with a new car and my front license plate was completely bent. Also has anyone noticed at the end, the system pulling the car stops roughly and makes some loud noises? Now my front drivers side tire is loosing air pressure😤

It was quick and easy to get to this location. The staff were very nice and the wash did a great job cleaning my car after a cross country drive! However there were no vacuum stalls available. I think they made an operational error when building the facility to have so few or no timed spots which can cause a bottle neck. I will not be returning to this location.

Pricing and service are great. Glad a competitor to H2Go popped up close by. But vacuums weren’t working great. The hose tip was bent and preventing full suction.

The strips used to clean the car did not scratch my car. I usually have my car hand washed and waxed but the place I go to was closed. We were happy with the results. Get the ultimate wax, it works great. Pricing is excellent.

First time there about a week ago.
Very satisfied with the turn out of how clean the vehicle is.
The only thing I was dissatisfied about was, the tire shine could have been a lot better, only done 75% or so of the tire.

Pretty good drive thru clean. Self cleaning allows you to get into the tight spaces better. Overall your vehicle will be much cleaner when your done!

Love the music! I almost always use the self-wash bays. And if using a credit card you only pay for the time you use. I just recently noticed they have a dog wash area as well.

Poor wash quality, complete lack of service, no attendant available to help with any issues, and use of vacuum not included.

Also the wash bay has a lot of mold.

This place is the ABSOLUTE worst. The machines at this place NEVER work properly, and the wash is over-priced and awful. I paid for a $12 “Ultimate” wash today, and when I pulled into the station, the machine didn’t do anything (as if I didn’t pay). When I checked my bank account, sure enough I was charged for the service. This wasn’t the first time this has happened to me.

The times I used the self-service, I also experienced machine issues. As my session was close to expiring, I would go to swipe my card to extend the time, but would not add more time to my session (like expected). This is on top of the fact that the tool/option selector takes upwards of 1 minute to switch to different modes (eating into the time you’re paying for).

Save your sanity and money and go to literally any other car wash. Even a gas station car wash is better than Frogs

Usually love this place, but two credit card machines weren’t working properly for self service. Then dollar machine took one dollar but not others. Finally used automated wash for $13. It’s was ok, but I’ve had better car washes for $13.

  1. Please read!!! I had used the H2Go express wash a few times before and thought they did a good wash for the money. Unfortunately, my last experience was not very good. I came to wash at noon and chose the silver washing option. When I entered the wash, I noticed that the washing sounds were a little louder than normal. Since I had to drop my friend off at the airport, I had to leave after doing a little and quick interior cleaning. After I took my things from the car, I noticed that my car was scratched noticeably. These scratches were starting from the right front of the car and getting deeper in the upper part and ending at the rear. It was very obvious that the scratches were after washing because these scratches exactly matched the brush scratch. (You can also see the significant scratches on the washed car in the pictures I attached) When I called the customer service, I was told to bring the car back, but I was out of town 5 days later so I went there and filled out the accident form 5 days later. A week later, it was said that the cameras were inspected and that the scratches were not seen and sufficient evidence could not be found due to the glare of the sun:) I brought the car late and they could not accept the photos I took on the day of the incident. I laughed when they said that my 5-year-old car was old and the sun could cause these scratches. In addition, a 2-month membership was offered. I, on the other hand, refused the offer by saying that I would not wash my car in this company again and added that I was a student and that I had to repair the scratches that occurred after washing and that the company should support this issue. But unfortunately, I got a negative response. I hope you don’t have the same problem that I had.

  2. Update 6/10/2023 it’s the weekend and I went to the car wash because my car was covered in tree sap and all kinds of leaves and other tree droppings just for them to be broken down and they tell me they might open up again shortly so I wait 15 minutes and they open up just to get us in the tunnel to break down again and at this point I waited about an hour and didn’t even get my car rinsed. And they are giving everyone refunds but if you have the .monthly pass you don’t get any compensation which is irritating. I did like that they at least allowed us to use vaccumes and compressed air. Employees were doing the best they could. I just wish a manager communicated the situation with an announcement and took charge and offered a solution for the inconvenience. But all in all businesses always have malfunctions and unfortunately I just cought them on a bad day

*5 stars is only for monthly options* for a single car wash id give it 2 stars because the price of one wash is half the price of unlimited monthly washes. Ridiculous pricing for single washes but amazing for unlimited. Although it is often overly crowded for the duration of the day so you’ll want to hit the spot early like 7am or late like 530pm to insure less wait time in line and best chance of being able to get a vacuum and compressed air to finish your wash process.

  3. Four stars for the staff. The actual car wash is actually not very good. Pre wash your car bejeweled you go and it will turn out o.k. they have so much traffic that you get pushed through in under a minute sometimes. To fast for the machine and soap dispenser

  4. If you have a busy schedule that is so demanding that spending more than 30 minutes washing your car isn’t possible, then this is your place. The actual car wash takes about 2-3 minutes, and that is all you need with the efficiency you get. Since the car wash is so quick, you will have time to use their free vacuums and compressed air. I’ve never had to wait to get the wash or use the vacuums/compressed air, and the staff are really helpful and kind. In and out in under 15 minutes, it’s a no brainer.

  5. Hi.
I and my family had been customers at this place since it was opened. The staff were great and very kind. My experience today with Pip ( He said he was the manager), was different. My van has an antena and it was always been taken off from one of the staff when I entered the washing area. I stopped and honked one of the operator to take off the antena when I felt my van was moving forward. Pip came and said, “Hey man, you need to tell us to remove the antena?”. Very unprofessional!! Isn’t that his job to ask that question? He didn’t ask! He continued by putting the blame on me and he played that guilty game on me infront of his staff. He said I caused the entire chain reaction to stop working when he was out there from the begining talking with other staff.
Furthermore, he said removing the antena was an option? So why he did not ask that question? In my opinion, safely removed the antena is part of his training procedure and he might had forgotten. How could it be an option when it could cause damage to the customer’s vehicle and likewise will cause trouble for the washing system?
I like this place and I and my family will continue to come here for car washes. I leave this to Pip’s boss to decide. I give 5 star to the hard and polite working staff. I give “0” star for Pip for being rude, unprofessional, and irresponsible for his action.
    Thank you for reading.
