2 months agoI recently moved in and as a big fan of English croissants, I was excited to try one today. However, I must say I was thoroughly disappointed. The croissant I purchased was far from being a butter croissant. In addition, the texture of the croissant was more like a bun, lacking the flakiness and crunchiness I expected. Moreover, the taste was quite poor, leaving much to be desired. Overall, it was a letdown in terms of both texture and flavor.
a month agoI love this store. It feels very new and clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the underground parking means that I don’t get wet when it’s raining! It’s rarely busy, so the shopping experience is nice and relaxed.in the last weekNothing special. Just an ordinary Sainsbury where I went few times to buy food and drinks. They have a huge parking area, inside, underground. There is also the outside parking option, but you may have to pay if stay longer and has limited spaces. I liked the fact that you can order pizza on the spot and they will prepare it for you based on your chose of toppings. Probably in about 10 minutes is ready. The taste is not bad at all. They can prepare it for you while you go through the store to look for other stuff to buy. Another fact I like about this store is that they provide various types of bread, including rustic types, sourdough, specialities etc. I think they are baking the bread inside as it seemed to be fresh every time I was there. And another nice touch is that you have the option to slice the bread you want and to bag it. They have the slicing machine on the spot you can use freely. They have also the fridges with cold drinks, even if the options are limited (probably based on the customer’s / sales history). All în all, good place for shopping if you are in the area.2 months agoNeeds to improve, electric doors in the car park has finally been mended after about a year not working, escalater down again not working, this seems to be a regular thing of late. Stock is limited. This store was great when it opened but has gone down hill.2 weeks agoThis Saibsbury’s at edington is really complete and spacious. In 2020 the wine section was huge…lot of wines from Argentina, Chile and Spain. Now the section shrunk a little and prices soared. Still one of the biggest selections I’d ever come across for a supermarket.

a month agoGood selection of fresh baked bread and pastries. Normally a good amount of fruit and vegetables to choose from. Sometimes there can be long queues when they don’t have all the self serve tills on. Pleasant shop to visit and pick up some bits for the week.a month agoLovely little supermarket nestled in the heart of the colleges!! Subtle architecture blends in perfectly!! All the good food of the gods fill the shelves!! Perfect and nectar points to add to the experience!!4 months agoVery simple to navigate on my first time shopping in this Sainsbury’s. I was also impressed by the number of self-checkout tills – I think this is good because it means if any of them have issues, then there are still plenty available. It also helps reduce queues. From my experience I had no issues and I would come here again to shop.2 weeks agoGood chain shop example. Small choice of fruits. Nice self-serving paying machines. Standard and clean3 months agoThey’ve just brought in “Nectar prices” where you have to scan a card just to get the discounts that used to be regular. Any company that wants your data that bad is shifty. Would recommend Asda where there’s none of that time-wasting.

Massive fan of this store! Lots of parking, with a front and back section. One way in and two ways out. There’s lots of space for bikes. The store is large, with a clothes section. It is a hive of activity and in peak times can be very busy.
V irresponsible parking on small Cambrosge streets.
Not only parking on ful k double yellow and blocking any traffic, but attempting to reverse on the FOOTpath with 2 small children trying to get past
There are ample parking places including behind the store
The parking duration is limited to 3 hours
The toilet is a available in the store
The Sainsbury’s has Argos store
After filling with fuel I nipped into the main store for some supplies. Had everything I needed. Well laid out; easy to find everything. Good parking. Only downside is you need a coin for the trolley! Would recommend.
Not the first time booked order for delivery isn’t delivered. This is awful for people that need to shield for health reasons such as chemo. This is really bad service, and leaving vulnerable people at risk. There are more store in Cambridge and a good service would be to have these orders come from other stores to still provide service. Think beyond your own store
