Called in because my wife wanted to have a look in the clothing department which we did then we went into the food section we got what we wanted then we wanted to go the Toilet we both have disabilities I use a wheelchair my wife as dementia they have a new Disabled changing room which is very good and there should be more of them about but it has its own key not a Radar key so I had to Leave my wife by herself and go all the way to customer services to ask for a key were I was informed that someone already had the key so on the way back saw the Lady with the key and she handed me the key I may be wrong but she Looked like a member off staff I think the disabled changing room is being used because the other toilets are in such bad condition and I understand smells but it’s a silly idea when someone with disabilities have to go the length of the store to collect the key to use the facilities so Sainsbury have a think about this and come up with a better idea because the system you have is no good.
Used to be a great store, but since the “refurb” earlier this year the place feels ghostly. Nowhere near as many staff and the closing of the pharmacy has robbed the local area of a late night chemist. They don’t even play music over the tannoy anymore. Also, if you’re doing refurbishments it’s usually a good idea to start with the basics – like the floor, which looks filthy and has scuff marks everywhere. Toilets are filthy, too. It’s clearly been downsized under the guise of refurbishment and is now not even as nice as Lidl down the street, after being one of the nicest supermarkets in Stoke-on-Trent for many years. Shame.
I love shopping at Sainsbury’s, they have a wide variety of fresh produce and I find most of my favourite food stuff here. Their clothing section is also not to be sniffed at. The online delivery service is also top notch.
Large shop, very many different products. There are self-service checkouts. There’s also a bakery. And they also do pizza. Overall a good shop. On the downside, it is more expensive than other shops and there are a lot of dangerous people near the entrance. There’s a Starbucks.
It’s lost its heart since the refurbishment, even though it still looked like a WIP when I went last week.
Brought a couple of items marked up as ‘price matched with Aldi’. Those items tasted inferior, on the face of it, quality had been sacrificed for price.
Also 90% looked self service now.
However, a good range of products (despite loosing a great big deli) and big car meant 3 ⭐
