3 weeks agoWe were in the tescos and we live in republic of ireland so we have a republic club card and the lady at the till refused service without a northan clubcard and then we went to a second till and asked a kind lady to use her club card and then the lady from the previous till comes over to the other lady at the till and says is you serve that woman you will me sacked. Now i think this is completely unacceptable behaviour to not serve a customer because they dont have a northan club card, we will not be coming again terrible service!5 months agoPrices increasing much to frequently accross all there products, Expect Ques at checkouts more likey than not so don’t expect to quickly nip in and out again. Good selection of very affordable house plants and flowers.a month agoMuch better than the one across the water, all staff are lovely.10 months agoShopped here a total of 3 times over a period of about a month and every time i found most of the products on the shelves and fridges only had a maximum of 4 days until their usage date expired. I’ve never been to a store that has such old stock.Another issue was the lack of fruit and veg. every time i was there, they had no brown onions or garlic. I mean these are staple ingredients for most meals! Most of the staff seem nice but since i didn’t receive my club-card in the post, i have to give my club-card number instead, to which 2 out of 3 of the staff members refused to take at the checkout. I had to then explain to them that they can indeed type the club card number into the machine to which they reluctantly but eventually done.
This store might be good for instances where you need to pick up something frozen and quick for dinner but I wont be doing my weekly shopping here anymore. This is a shame because a lot of other Tesco stores in other cities are great and contain absolute bargains.
a year agoTesco, is one of the UK’s greatest retailers. Their products are reasonably priced, of very good quality, they have real discount application, and also, they are very involved in helping local communities. In addition, the behavior of the staff at Tesco is very wonderful, and so respectful! Personally, I consider Tesco the number one in the UK.

Absolute disgrace! Nothing on the shelves, ignorant staff who were more interested in doing online shopping then helping customers and the hygiene is deplorable! Don’t go here if you need drinks
Clubcard system not scanning. The new clubcard discounts are clubcard only so it’s pointless actually showing up here. When you try to type in your clubcard number, the screen is so unresponsive it’s absolutely useless. Tesco used to mean value. Now it’s so difficult and obtuse to shop there.
Just wanted one item today. Picked up scanner as usual for “Scan as you shop”. Got my one item and headed for tills. “Scan as you shop” closed! Horrendous queues everywhere else. Abandoned trying to buy item.
I know Tesco’s excuse for this as I’ve suffered the issue before and complained to staff. Tesco say that they are short-staffed and close “Scan as you shop” to relieve pressure on staff who are working. They also give Covid as the reason they are short-staffed.
But Tesco are a major UK supermarket chain and Covid problems started in 2020 in the UK. Tesco has had ample time to adjust to recruitment difficulties and also to Covid issues.
Just not good enough!
P.S. My family are very good customers of Tesco as our Tesco Clubcard points attest. And we’re very loyal customers to our local supermarket too.
Very badly organised regarding check outs. Queues all around and not enough tills open.
Can get great produce here. Mostly everything you need – staff are friendly + helpful. Nice clean store 👍
