i currently work here, the store itself for buying items, and shopping in is fine, but id recommend Aldi or Lidl or even asda over this shop to everyone i even recommend other shops while working, the stores management well for the area i work in is real bad, not saying any names or that but just go to any other store even the other Tesco is better than this one, go anywhere but here, but over all i rate this shop as a shopping experience a 2.5 everything else sucks

I recently went into the shop and was refused entry due to being in a group of around 4, the security guard said only 2 at a time so I had to wait outside. While waiting outside I was constantly harassed by the security guard to back away from the shop as I was apparently blocking the entrance. I then proceeded to have a discussion with him about why I wasn’t allowed in the shop, which he wasn’t happy to discuss with me and said it was company policy. I have never been in any Tesco and had this rule. I suspect it was due to me being a teenager, which is ageism. I hope this is dealt with.

We went to Tesco Express for tea bags and small milk, it is very handy to have that near the Pitbauchlie House Hotel. Very handy and top marks to the staff 😊

After 1800 you can not find any more fresh baked products, whatever was done when gone you’re out of it till next day. Not the most suitable time to stop a production, half of the city yet to leave their jobs and get to the supermarket to get empty shelves… there’s no more butcher options, only tray or baggage meats. Not the best repositioning supermarket, walking along lot of empty shelves, lots of fruits/ vegetables gone with no more repositioning, meat as well. You would expect empty space after 2000 o’clock or later but you will find it on early hours.

Why is it the garage closes at 12 midnight but you close the pay at kiosk pumps 15 to 20 mins to 21.00 at night its a disgrace when you still have the pay drawer i just dont get it .

Car needed fuel, so popped into Tesco and did not have to wait to get a pump and it was reasonably priced. I was met by a friendly smile from the member of staff so no complaints.

Firstly I live nearby, that aside the forecourt is spacious , the pumps are clean so no diesel on my hands. The shop is clean and well stocked although prices are the same as other petrol stations. There is a jetwash at the rear of the shop with a full range of programmes , it’s coin operated ( one pound coins) Finally the cost of fuel is the lowest in the area which is the most important aspect for me.

I only visited here as I was desperate to fill up my car before a long drive back to Essex. I was plesently surprised to see that the price of fuel ⛽ was much cheaper than alot of other petrol stations in the rest of the area. Friendly helpful staff too, made my visit even better than most other fuel stations.

How to Shop Smart at Tesco Dunfermline: A Quick Tutorial

Shopping at Tesco is a straightforward and convenient experience. Whether you are a seasoned shopper or a first-timer, here are some guidelines to help you make the most of your trip to Tesco:

  • Plan your shopping list: Before heading to Tesco, make a shopping list of the items you need. This will help you stay focused and avoid unnecessary purchases.
  • Check for promotions: Tesco often offers promotions and discounts on various products. Take a look at their weekly leaflets or check their website for any ongoing offers. This can help you save money on your shopping.
  • Bring your own bags: Tesco charges a fee for single-use plastic bags, so it’s a good idea to bring your own reusable bags. This not only helps the environment but also saves you money in the long run.
  • Utilize Tesco Clubcard: Sign up for a Tesco Clubcard to earn points on your purchases. These points can then be redeemed for discounts or vouchers, allowing you to save even more money.
  • Follow the store layout: Tesco stores are organized into sections based on product categories. Follow the signs or ask for assistance to find the items on your list quickly.
  • Compare prices: While shopping, compare the prices of similar products to ensure you are getting the best deal. Tesco often offers different brands and sizes, so take your time to find the most cost-effective option.
  • Check the expiry dates: Always check the expiry dates on perishable items such as fruits, vegetables, and dairy products. Choose items with the longest shelf life to ensure their freshness when you consume them.
  • Consider Tesco own brand products: Tesco has a range of own brand products that are often cheaper than branded alternatives. Give them a try as they can be great value for money.
  • Use self-checkout if available: If you have a small number of items, consider using the self-checkout option to save time and avoid waiting in line at the regular checkout counters.
  • Review your receipt: Once you have completed your shopping, take a moment to review your receipt to ensure all items and discounts have been accounted for correctly.

By following these guidelines, you can have a smooth and efficient shopping experience at Tesco while also saving money and making the most of their offers and promotions.

  1. Good products, okay price, let down completely by lack of tills open. ONE staff member on tills, que of 12 people with full trolleys. What an absolute shambles. At least the staff member was in good spirits

  2. Not a very good experience, feel like I am in the way not just by customers but staff rushing about collecting orders for online and huffing and puffing for you taking your time. Also not anough checkouts and staff having a chat in groups especially supervisors. Remember it’s a job!

  3. Quality of so called fresh produce bread, meat and veg deplorable. It was tasteless meat and veg that started to rot within just a couple of days with the bread some of the worst I’ve ever tasted. When I tried to use my Tesco card it was refused and the staff were of no help in resolving the situation and fobbed me off. I do not normally shop in Tesco but out of convenience decided to risk a shop but I’ll definitely not be going back.

  4. Customer service guy was very rude told me. ‘Get your club card sorted” when he could see I was having issues with my phone. Suprised at his level of customer service. We then went to the cafe for breakfast and the 2 girls were excellent at their job. Visit one store and experience good and bad.
