2 weeks agoI would firstly say this review does not reflect my opinion of your staff, which have always been polite and helpful, unfortunately there are just not enough of them. Prices have increased in excess of other supermarkets and choice has reduced. The main fault is the new till system. Fine if you are picking up a few items but to have just one manned till is not enough if you have a family sized shop and are behind other shoppers with a full trolley too. Such a shame, as I have shopped here for over 30 years but now only occasionally.a month agoYour staff are awesome! Twice I had to ask someone where a product was, and each time they knew exactly where it was. Even when it was a sewing set hidden among the tins. Lovely and friendly too.a month agoThey currently have some kind of points offer running which I find rather confusing as I have been told different things by different staff. I’ve given up with the offer as I expected to get the £5 back but not received one yet and spent the £125 to qualify for 9,500 points. I’ve gone back to the Asda as with my blue light card linked to their rewards scheme I save much more.2 months agoVisited here today had the breakfast in the cafe Really nice 😋and friendly service The store was also good tidy clean and well stocked with plenty of manned tills and pleasant staff Unlike the Retford one where we live which we use They need advice from your store2 months agoGood cafe. Recommend the Full English Breakfast. Just let down by the use of cheap baked beans. Supermarket is a good size with Petrol Station and WC facilities.

a month agoFirst time I have shopped here. Well stocked prices very reasonable will go again. Large car park with wheelchair access to the store. Staff friendly and very helpful. Nice bew premises.2 months agoLove Aldi. There is so much variety of goods. Middle aisle always worth a look. Speciality biscuits are very nice and their creamy yogurts are gorgeous if not healthy. Yum.5 months agoI had given 5 star three years back but today I had a very bad experience. The staff need more training in customer service. I was chased by the youngish male till staff accusing me of stealing an extra bag of compost. I asked for 2 bags of compost which he billed for only one and chased me for this. Was shocked by the attitude in front of my son. He called me in front of all the people and eventually the manager apologised for his awful behaviour. Please train your staff better on how to handle these situations. It could have been dealt in a much better way. This happened on 25/03/2023 between 3-4 pm roughly.a month agoLove it great products. On a short 2 day stay in WETHERBY and spent half a day in Ripon. Stopped off at Booths car park to recharge our electric car, stayed on the car park and enjoyed coffee and cakes in their lovely clean and bright coffee shop. Good choice of food and drinks friendly and helpful staff on the upper floor but don’t worry there is a lovely clean lift for customers use. We’ll stocked supermarket with lots of variety and even bedding plants for sale. Best of all if spending over 5 pounds the car park fee is refunded at the checkout.
Very disappointing. We used to enjoy shopping here when in the area, every couple of weeks or so. The quality of fresh produce was poor, short sell by dates, wizened vegetables, lack of fresh bakery goods available. Shelves lacking stock …….
The cafe was shocking! An uninterested young assistant at the counter, stale tea loaf, dirty tables. At the best of times this isn’t a warm, welcoming place but on a cold, grey, wet day when a customer is in need of somewhere inviting to sit with a hot drink and perhaps something tasty to eat this isn’t the place to be. Cold aircon meets you at every table, the tables and chairs themselves need replacing with furniture that’s non-utilitarian for a more country feel to the entire cafe. And have the aircon on when absolutely necessary. Think of the environment and your bills! Employ staff who want to be there and enjoy working for Booths in a cafe environment who are knowledgeable about the products they’re selling and please have cutlery available to customers so that they don’t have to go all the way back to the counter to ask for teaspoons, forks and napkins!
Good prices and loads of local produce
Excellent shop selling great quality food and it has a lovely café/ restaurant. You can buy meat; fish and fruit plus vegetables together with cheeses, cakes and pies and eggs. There is also a good dairy department There is a great wine, spirits and beer department. Look out for the deli and bread counter.
Booths obtain much of their produce from local suppliers who have high quality products. There is a large car park which is reasonably priced and you can receive a discount on charges when you shop. There are re-charging points for ev’s and disabled parking spaces.
The Booths loyalty scheme is very good and well worth ‘signing up’ to. There are always friendly staff and knowledgeable staff on hand if you need assistance. Highly recommended!
Crossfit gym with a variety of classes for all ages and Ripon’s newest gym. The personal trainers work hard to ensure that classes are challenging and enjoyable. You don’t have to be super fit to join in as exercises can be scaled to your ability and level of fitness: there’s no judgement. There’s also a friendly community of gym goers who provide a supportive and encouraging environment to work out in.
