They reorganized the pick up area to be in the back of the store and to be much bigger. Regular customers that are pick up and Walmart drivers that are making grocery delivers are in the same place now. You check in when you get there but they can take up to 25 mins to bring out your order (that’s how long I had to wait to get my last order). They seem to have only 2 people working and they ask you to pack it into your own car so I’m not sure why they are so slow. All they seem to be doing is bringing things out. I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve come across a helpful employee that actually cares about giving you a hand. And this is throughout my almost 26 years in Bayonne. On top of that, last week, they would not let my partner and I leave despite us paying for our items and showing them the receipts. They let other people walk out without even checking what’s in their bags that they stuffed with stolen goods, but yet, we got stopped for no reason. Very discriminatory. Management and the workers in the customer service section are incredibly rude and need to take some courses on how to be polite to people that are shopping there. The place is also incredibly filthy and every day you go there, there’s a million pallets all over the place that no one puts away so you’re tripping and can’t even reach certain items that you want. Don’t ever use the women’s bathroom, either. No one knows how to act in there. Got menstrual products stuck to the walls, feces on the floor, and clogged toilets. You bought it? This is so expensive, how can you buy it?” I said “yes” , “yes”, and “yes” she didn’t stop asking, so I asked her “why? What happened?” Because I already showed her the receipt. I didn’t know what’s the point that she didn’t believe. Not sure if the reason is I’m Asian or I look young or I look poor. But I feel so bad about it. I hope Walmart can train their staff better because I always go there to buy stuff. THIS WALMART HAS ALOT IT ALWAYS DID, BUT IT IS SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE, RIDICULOUSLY CROWDED, MET SOME OF THE FEMALE STAFF THEY WERE VERY NICE AND HELPFUL … MOST OF THE STORE REPRESENTATIVES WERE PACKING OUT, BUT IT WAS SO MUCH TO PACK OUT ,ESPECIALLY WHILE THE STORE WAS CROWDED ON A HOLIDAY LIKE FATHERS DAY… THIS SPECIFIC WALMART, MOST LIKELY WILL HAVE WHAT YOU WANT AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT SHOPPING THERE FOR FOOD, FOOD ITEMS ARE ALWAYS LOW HERE,
BUT EVERYTHING ELSE IS GOOD TO GO, SO COME HERE WITH CAUTION… AND TRY TO BE PATIENT..
I am very very pleased with this Walmart it had everything that I needed and more the shelf’s were clean there were no shopping carts flying around in the parking lot it was actually very nice not too busy and costumers service was 10/10 If you’re looking for a Walmart close to New York City that this is the Walmart that you need not really in the center but it’s really just one of the best Walmart’s I’ve ever been usually I do not give a Walmart ***** but this one in my opinion really is looking good thanks for reading and if you have any questions about this Walmart in particular then please message the on their website by the way I am not the owner or a worker here I am just a normal customer writing this review.
I had a guy that’s not trained properly in customer service turned me off, he said the workers aren’t allowed to scan 2 items to give customers the prices, even though there weren’t prices on the large items that I wanted, knowing that a new born baby was visible in my hand taking feed. I met a well trained female worker that was outstanding ??. She was of great help, I told her what happened, then I was informed that it was not true ?. Anyway I was visiting from up north ? and informed her that I’ve never been so disappointed. It would have been 0 star with the 1st encounter, however, 3 stars ? because of the 2nd worker’s encounter.

I recently visited the 77 Green Acres Road S Walmart in Valley Stream, NY on June 27, 2023. As the only Walmart close to New York City, it is often very busy. On this particular visit, I experienced the following problems:
– The self-checkout machine was not working.
– When I asked an employee for help to find something, they sent me in the wrong direction.
– Many shelves were empty.
– Aisles were blocked with pallets.
– I did not find everything that I was looking for.
– I waited over 40 minutes to checkout.
– The security also closed one the entrance/exit.
Overall, I was not satisfied with my experience at this Walmart. I hope that the store management will take my feedback into consideration and make improvements to the store.
Specific recommendations:
– Please fix the self-checkout machine.
– Please train employees to give accurate directions.
– Please restock the shelves.
– Please make sure that the aisles are clear of pallets.
– Please consider opening more checkout lanes to reduce wait times.
– Please keep the entrances open to allow customers to enter and exit the store freely.

Way better than the last time I visited. Back a few years ago, the Isles were so close together, and the isles were super tall. It was clostrophobic. But now, there is more space between the isles, and the place was clean. Two different staff members actually helped me! Parking wasn’t too bad. This was between 10 & 11 in the morning.
