On plus side range at Tesco good and with club card some decent discounts. True for any Tesco. Downside no wifi so if trying to use Tesco pay app do before going it. I find it logs me out often so trying to get in whilst in store or q recipe for stress. There is always a q in this store, does not seem well managed with people blocking aisle etc. there is a lift for wheelchair users but hard to find, a lot of stuff downstairs. (No trolley in store).

I use this Tesco store at Oxford city centre regularly. Today I would like to share my gratitude and appreciation to the store stuff. I left my card wallet in this store 4 days ago and it was only this morning I realised that wallet is missing. I went back to the store this morning and was so very pleased to get the wallet back. Huge thanks.

Excellent choice of all foods you need every day. The girls at the till, Rachel and Helena, were most welcoming and cheerful. Great service, girls! Thank you.

Dear Tesco headquarters/ management, Is quite easy to understand that as a business you want to sell and make money. Particularly on Fridays Saturdays, and Sundays when is busy. However, for the last few months, the only big water packs that can be found on the shelves over the weekends are just Evian. Taking out the bottles from all the other different packs to sell them individually is surely profitable and I agree it is a good way of selling expensive water packs that are not sold on the weekdays but this is not fair! For ages, my review was 5 Stars, mostly for your great members of staff that this shop has but this selling technique deserves 1 star due to your greediness.

Fun store in heart of lively Cowley neighbourhood. Highlight of each visit is the stacking endgame, where you’re challenged to construct a vertical tower of all your groceries. Really nice to incorporate this playful element in shoppers’ experience, ensuring that everyone takes their time in the store and doesn’t purchase more than they manage to stack on a 20 cm x 15 cm base. Have to a subtract 1 star for rotten and slimy veggies – though on a good day they are out of stock.

Whilst this Tesco has a much wider range than the one in central Oxford, there is no phone signal and no WiFi meaning it’s impossible to use the Tesco app to apply vouchers to your shop – weird oversight from Tesco to go paper free but to not install the required infrastructure. Staff member tried to help by suggesting to go outside load up the app contents and come back but it was like trying to run the gauntlet to get to the exit.

Today I went to the store and purchased a number of items, the cashier did not ask for my club card, to be fair I could have remembered to pull it out too. So any way I got charged at the higher price. Once I realised I went back to the store and tried to rectify the price with my Club card. The customer service person called the supervisor who came and put his pin into the cash register, allowing the customer service person access to issue me the refund for the club card price. Upon giving back part of the money I informed them that it’s not enough, to which the supervisor looked at the receipt and said it is correct, I did not want to stand and argue over 5p, as my car was parked outside vulnerably. But this is how they make money. Originally robbing me £1.05 and then still 5p after trying to rectify. Supervisor is very crafty. Thinks it’s funny to be crafty and rob the customers. A multipack of the cranberry juice (4 cartons) cost over £6+, four individual cartons cost £3.60 with club card.

In the evenings only one till* in the entire store is open if you want to pay with cash. All the others will only accept a card payment. WHY IS THAT?????

*And to make matters worse that till is usually manned by a female member of staff who is soooooo slow and laid back there is ALWAYS a lengthy queue in front of it!

  1. It’s a really nice place.
    Fantastic store. Shop here regularly.
Plenty of items to choose from. Store always clean and tidy.
Staff always pleasant and friendly. If you need help looking for something the staff will take you to item you require.
Also my mother and I use the pharmacy. What a outstanding service they supply. The staff are brilliant.
    Plenty of car park spaces.
All in all a first class store.

  2. Very convenient and well stocked store. Its not so big so rather quick to get around. Gets really busy in Saturdays when parking in the parent bays is hard to come by.

  3. this morning I purchased a #Halal chicken from Tesco and unfortunately, upon opening the packaging at home, I noticed a foul smell emanating from the chicken. Despite the chicken being within its expiration date, I didn’t feel comfortable consuming it and had to dispose of it. This is happened with us 2nd time. #SHAZANS

  4. I will NEVER entre into this store again, and I have shopped here for many years and spent £100’s pounds. Popped into the store early afternoon straight from work. Rushed around the store to pick up a few bits, after paying for the items decided to not waste money on a bag so it all went straight into the trolley. Walked past security guard and just has I went to walk out my trolley stopped, security right behind me. Then he stood beside my trolley, grabbed my receipt and proceeded to check the few items I had in the trolley. I asked him very clearly why he felt the need to put the breaks on the trolley like I was some common criminal, he stood there trying to tell me he hadn’t but there was no issue with the trolley going into the store. So, requested to speak to a manager and while I stood waiting by the kisok, he thought by shouting at me trying to make me feel intimidated, just wasn’t working. Spoke to the manager and explained what had happened, he still there shouting Infront of the whole store…WOW… Tesco’s if you are employing security that act in this manner then you may end up losing a lot more customers and there are plenty of other stores to visit… SAINSBURY’S 😁 This should be NO stars, but can’t put a review unless you do 🤬🤬

  5. A typical Tesco open 24hrs. Large so faily decent selection. Also has a fuel station. Other large retailers are within easy reach.
