a year agoJust wanted to say, the petite lady with the dark bob this morning who helped me when I split my coffee was amazing. Great customer service. I’d normally get really embarrassed but she was so calm and so nice about it, and wouldn’t even let me help her clean it up. Thank you for turning an awkward situation into a understanding one, I left the store with a smile on my face!4 years agoTwo atm’s either side of shop on the outside. Wheel chair access with wide aisles. Good selection of products, can be a little pricey. 4 months agoI love coming here.The security man on the door (when he is there) always says hello and bye to everyone that walks in, it makes for such a pleasant welcome to the shop.
And recently I have encountered a younger lady who wears glasses and has red hair. She is amazing with my daughter (2 years old). She will come over crouch down and have a chat with her about what she is doing and my daughter loves it.
Both staff members have gone above and beyond their duties, please give them a bonus!
a year agoMy delivery was lost in track and I have phoned a multiple times to the online team, supposed to come between 11-12 but still received nothing at 4. One of the online team staff said its ready to delivered, the second one said its still in the store and not sure if there will be a slot available the other day. Suggested me to either phone the store directly or contact the online team the second day. I randomly phoneed to the albert road store which I believed a very helpful staff called Aymond answered the call, it took him some times to try to track my order and find the correct store to contact, also suggested new method to solve the problem. Very polite and helpful compared to the staff who I called later. I still like to shop in Sainsbury’s but may do the store instead of online shopping now.3 years agoI shopped in here today and put thru too many bags on self service. I asked an assistant to help and she shouted at me to press a button but i wanted help with deleting the bag. She would not come over and help me. Another lady did help and i asked to speak to a manager to complain. While i was standing there the assistant was still shouting at me Oh you are still standing there then she was shouting at me. The manager came and apologised. I will never shop in here againa year agoKudos to the tall senior who is always polite and gentle in that store 👏👏 I wish everyone could be like him 👏6 years agoFriend got accused of stealing for putting his phone in his pocket and then follow round store, hostile nature shown. My friend has never stolen in his life, so felt offended and we haven’t gone back since.

Lots of choice in all ranges of food, drink, fresh produce, dairy and snacks.
Shelves relatively full. No eggs to be found though. A lot of shops have been having issues I guess. The others areas all had good product availability.
Store was tidy and easy to navigate around. Staff helped when I needed assistance.

– most of the adult clothes are designed for old people
– baskets and trolleys could be cleaned more often
– AVOID OLD CASHIERS – 99% of them are struggling while working at the tills. They scan one product multiple times and are overcharging you. It takes them a lot of time to scan your shopping – and I mean a really looooong time. They’re also acting like they have dementia and are often zoning out multiple times while serving you. Some of them also have troubles with everything that involves serving at the till – from printing out receipts to weighing wrong products (e.g. doughnut will be weighted and scanned as something else from their bakery) 🤦🏻♀️
Not exactly brilliant wanted some pasta had to climb on the selves to reach as nobody around and then after using a self checkout you’ve got to scan your receipt to get out I ask you will not be going back there
Nice and big place with ATM at the front entrance. Nice store
Scanning your receipt to leave is very inconvenient and insulting. Twice I have been kept waiting because my receipt won’t scan. No one came to help so today another customer let me out with theirs!
