The staff was so rude and doesn’t behave with good manners they all were talking and laughing in earphones together and didn’t helped us at all even after asking later me and my husband went for shopping. He bought the BEER for himself and at the till, the staff asked the ID’s of our both but my husband showed him his ID but she asked I need for both. Totally rude and don’t visit the store because staff is really bad

Short and compact place for quick shopping. It’s very close to University of Leicester, located on London Road. So I visit here oftentimes, though prices for few items are high compared to other supermarkets. Staff is very friendly. Usually buy the bakery items here, which is nice. I got this amazing chocolate cake from here, a recommended one.

I use this store about three times a week. It usually has most of the foods and groceries I purchase on a regular basis. The staff are very helpful. There is no self-service checkout. It opens for long hours each day and hence prices are higher than would be the case with the larger supermarkets in this chain.

It’s definitely is one of the most expensive shops on that road not for people who are trying to live on budget with cost of living they don’t care about the people I’ve been going in and out of there for the last five years. I’ve lived in the area and the prices have tripled because it’s quite a middle-class area they use that to pump up their price and rip their people off prices have tripled in the last year, about people struggling, or even sell food, affordable for people with less they just rip the people off. Went in there today and prices are ridiculous. I will never be going in there again and I’ll be telling my friends and family do not go in there, it’s a rip-off.

Decent local branch of Sainsbury’s. The bakery section is very good for a small store and there is a good fruit and veg section. You can also get fresh meat, fish and ready meals. Good for last minute buys, coffee, milk, bread etc. The entrance is wheelchair accessible and there are self service tills.

Staff are very friendly. Convenience comes at a price, but I can’t fault them on customer service. Had help from a worker today with smart shop and they couldn’t be more helpful! Top-notch. Security guard likes to follow me but I’ll just assume it’s because smart shop makes you look dodgy or he wants to be friends 😂.

Good local shop with basic day to day items. When went there many grocery items were sold out. Spacious and easy to walk around. Little handy store for basic needs. Expensive obviously than Asda and Lidl.

Handy store as this area lacks supermarkets. Albeit, very small in size and ranges. Extremely expensive compared to the Sainsbury’s supermarkets, a good 30p plus on the same items! Couldn’t do a full shop here. Ideal as a top-up store only!

  1. Excellent facilities, good parking wide Isles. Always have a good selection of brands.
    TU clothing is good quality.
I would have given 5☆ except there is never no more than 4 checkouts open.. its sad to say if your disabled and can’t stand for long it’s appalling , but for a store of this size ???

  2. HUGE shop. I called in for a drink while travelling and found the sheer scale of this place bewildering. Nothing was where I thought it would be, but Sainsbury’s doesn’t appear to have a standard layout. I’ve rated this place three stars because I had to wait a good long time to get my age verified at the self checkout. If you you’re hoping to pop in quickly this is not the shop for you.

  3. Big carpark with lots of disabled and parent and children bays and a large petrol station.
Fully wheelchair accessible, clean, and tidy. Fresh products are usually well stocked and look fresh. Good amount of products.
Large clothing section for women, men and children. Large household section and stationery.
    Also an argos in store.
My new weekly shopping spot !

  4. Some Staff were unprofessional and lazy! Seems like they working forcefully they Could do more quicker and helpful for people as time is very important for everyone. but they don’t bother. People waiting long in self check out for help but we were helpless. Did not happy with their service.

  5. This a very large store with plenty of parking. The store staff are most helpful and extremely polite. Of all the various supermarkets we go to this one is the best. It is unfortunate that where we live this store is visited by us infrequently which is a shame.
