in the last weekA handy place for last minute groceries. However, quite over-priced. The staff are always miserable and have an attitude akin to being forced to work on their day off, then be told by the boss if no customer engages them within half an hour they can go home, then you (a customer) comes in and has the audacity to ask them something 2 mins before the half hour is up.a year agoProbably about 20 video screens. Two per aisle. Security guard told ne to stop taking photos of them.Kinda ironic. The person in charge of the tesco “make everyone feel watched policy probably should have random people insult h on the street”
5 months agoMost awful Tesco I’ve ever been in! Hardly any staff! No tills open at all only self serve, where there were several people with trolleys full of shopping! Self serve were card only too! Lady who served us at the cigarette counter was awfully miserable and not helpful at all! Didn’t ask if we had a club card and when we realised we had forgotten to scan it wasn’t at all bothered or didn’t offer to stop the transaction to scan it, shelves were bare and other staff weren’t helpful either. Not what I expect from a Tesco store.3 months agoQuite big for a Tesco Express. But only found out today (21st May) when I checked what time this place opens on a Sunday is 11? Really. It’s called Tesco express right? Normally, Express stores are open 6 till 22.00 everyday.4 months agoAn awful store, dirty and poorly lit. Long queues, hardly any staff (those few present were clearly overworked). Awful cramped atmosphere. Had only popped in as an emergency, won’t do so again!

9 months agoGenerally a nice store. Might want to check the multi pack of jam doughnuts before you put them out next time. I’ve just bought a pack (06.30) and was surprised how cold they are – they’re frozen!11 months agoDo you know what, I’ve been using this shop for years now and love all the staff but there’s this one guy, raz or something his name is I think, he rushes you out of the shop, I’ve had multiple occasions were he’s been really rude and made me feel uncomfortable, just now, I was putting my stuff in my bag and he was serving a customer while I was using the self checkout, he looks me dead in the eye and say “hurry up then, have a nice day” I didn’t think he was talking to me so in shock I just kind of stopped and he repeated himself “bye then, have a nice day”. Disgusting customer service. This man needs a good talking to or just being sacked because I don’t feel comfortable if he’s serving me anymore. I never moan about little things but this genuinely ruined my day4 months agoGoof local shop bit pricey has a good selection of items overall not bada year agoMy job has me all ove the UK. Costa machines are my goto. The one onside here happens to be my home town, my closet and inside a big reputable company. Yet every week something goes wrong with it. Possibly the worst maintained machine in the country. Sorry Tesco.2 years agoThis is a nice Tesco Metro, a good size for a quick shop, it even has a small in-store bakery which is unusual but very nice!It also sells the tesco £10 meal deals, again unusual for a Metro.
It has two reduced items sections, one at the end of the veg and refrigerated isle and one under the fresh orange juice at the far left corner of the shop. I tend to find good hidden gems in the back on.
Staff are always helpful.

Hunt the trolley today and clear empty cartons of the shelf to find what you want as they’re clearly short of staff. Shortage of some stocks today 13th Feb 23. Must be everyone buying tomatoes for their Valentine. Lol
Usually I like this store but today was appalling. I would give them the chance to discuss this but you can’t, it’s not allowed, they’re literally ‘too busy’ which leaves me with this review option and contacting Tescos without the ‘management’ of this store even being available. Bare this in mind before going, ZERO chance of customer feedback! Never have I ever!
Always a pleasant experience. Tidy store, friendly staff. Great prices. Produce is better than Aldi. Always a pleasure.
Absolutely shocking service this evening. Never in all my 24 years in Retail/Hospitality have I seen a customer (me) dismissed by a duty manager like I was this evening. Stressed or not stressed, you have to treat each customer as an individual!
If I could give it zero I would, we was purchasing seventy pounds worth of items which were for the staff at our work place and we had three e-vouchers at twenty pounds each to pay with which we printed off as we usually do. When paying the cashier she said she prefers the printed ones as it’s better than having a phone shoved in her face, she then scanned one of the vouchers but it required voice recognition which never happens on previous visits to which the cashiers pressed no so it declined the voucher. We waited ages for assistance and someone printed the receipt and sent us to the customer service desk and said they will sort it for us. The girl at the C,S desk got a manager to override and authorize, he point blank declined the vouchers saying they don’t accept them to which we said we have used e-vouchers here before and had no issues to which he said if it says voice recognition required then there may be fraudulent activity on the card, we were shocked to hear this, we found the e-vouchers on our phone and asked thm to try scanning it that way but he point blank dismissed it and said he wasn’t accepting that. He then just walked off leaving us with the girl at the desk, she said do you still want these to which we said no as we were using the E-cards to pay for them, she helped us to unpack everything and she said sorry and my partner said it’s not your fault but we work in management and that is not how you talk to your customers, she then said he’s a bit stressed as we have had shoplifters to which we said I appreciate that but quite frankly that’s not my concern. We then left the store feeling very dismissed. The voucher clearly states if for any reason the voucher doesn’t work, goto customer services who will help and give more information we never got any information just attitude from a duty Manager. We have checked all three vouchers and each one has twenty pounds on them.On a side note, staff safety should be paramount and watching a team member have a tug of war with a shoplifter in the fruit and veg aisle and then seeing the stress of the duty manager should be a concern for the HR department.
