5 months agoSome friendly staff, others definitely not so. Heard one saying to an elderly customer who was at the reduced aisle ‘Get a life’. Stock not always in, can’t rely on getting what you want. Narrow, congested aisles, with staff often filling shelves and leaving cages in the way. Looks tired and outdated. Recent fire alarm went off – staff all headed outside without informing customers what was going on and no announcement either. Good job it was a false alarm. Massive car park. Click and collect bays. Lovely, independent coffee shop on same site.4 weeks agoEverything you need under one roof and some fantastic offers if you use the Tesco app. Only downside being that more than half the store is an internet blackspot. To get a signal I suggest trying near the produce or milk. If you can’t load your card onto your app, you can’t get the discount (unless you carry the plastic card).a week agoAlways have what ever u need never out of stock10 months agoGood large Tesco store and not usually very busy. Easily accessible, good car parking, store layout is great. Shelves always well stocked with a good variety of items. Great clothing section. Staff are friendly and helpful, love shopping at Tesco and finding some good clubcard bargains.7 months agoNostalgic place for me, as my first ever childhood memory was in here buying a Thomas and The Magic Railroad VHS.Aside from that, it is a fairly well run shop, with a clean interior and a wide variety of things to buy.
Only gripe is that the items are a bit pricey.

2 weeks agoIt’s ok lots of little tool sets ecta year agoMost expensive pump prices around. Even 2p a litre cheaper at Jet garage in Tuckill. Market oil & fuel prices have dropped over 10% this last 2 weeks but Tesco continue to rob people blind.4 years agoHardly ever any disposable gloves in the blue bins. Don’t like diesel on hands as it stinks the car out for ages, it’s also bad for the skin and skin conditions.Not difficult to set up checks on these items throughout the day rather than the staff sittting around chatting, as they were again today on my visit. First thing in the morning, between 1200 – 1300hrs and again at 1700hrs.
Found gloves but only in 1 of the 4 blue bins on the forecourt. Please sort Tesco……….
4 years agoNever usually too busy despite being at the entrance the Tesco extra store. Pay at pump service is useful. Much quicker than using the Morrison’s petrol station down the road.4 years agoGood petrol station. Plenty of pumps so not alot of waiting which is great. They have a car wash and Hoover and tyre pump. Well run.

If you’re a vegetarian don’t travel to Tesco superstore Balby Doncaster expecting to buy frozen produce. The freezers had apparently broken, Tesco were waiting on a repair person. Things break, I get it, but management could have used adjacent freezers, put a sign advising customers to ask staff if they could fetch it from the frozen store. Ramp it up Tesco, It’s the week before Easter people are buying for the holiday weekend.
Supermarket vegetarian options are still poor in Doncaster but this really was the icing on the Quorn. IMHO this is equivalent to having no frozen meats available for meat eaters- this would not happen!
I give two stars to the young female manager who brought me the frozen items I needed from the frozen store
Good value for money. Some great bargains on last date of fresh produce at 7pm best time to get last sale price on fresh goods. Good bargains on damaged packaged goods and tins. Good staff in the main.
What has happened with this supermarket the last few Month’s. There seems to always be a problem with the Wifi / Internet, scan as you shop devices not working or if they are the scan as you go tills are out of order. Today i couldn’t get the Tesco app to open so i could use my coupons, website not working and then when i finished shopping Scan as you go tills were out of order. Had to join queue which was for self scan service. Month’s of the same problem, WHY ?
I feel sorry for the staff having the stress of the unhappy customers just because someone can not be bothered to sort the Internet and get the tills working.
Stopped at the café for breakfast, excellent as ever. Staff were friendly and efficient, food was beautifully cooked and tasty.
Love going there allways buy my jewelry here. Would recommend. Lots of jewelry to choose from but other every dismay items can be really expensive I spent £42 on 3 Christmas presents even with my club card! Lynx x2
