This rating is for the cafe. Poor service today might of been short staffed, but many tables not cleared and we waited for over 40mins for our lunch and so did many other people. Fish n chips were lovely tho.

You might say “a Tesco is a Tesco”, but this one always feels better than others, to me. We called in here during a visit to Liverpool, as we wanted to buy a mobile phone. Unfortunately, because the transfer of data from an existing phone to the new one ran the risk of taking a very long time (The store has limited internet capacity) we could not wait around to complete a purchase. Colin, the salesman in the phone department, was very pleasant and helpful. It was a shame we couldn’t give him the sale.

Some nice and friendly staff most of the time. Unfortunately, overall Liverpool and this Tesco have not changed when it comes to racism and prejudice. 🙄 If your black and go to the self checkout, prepare to be watched and constantly asked if “you’re alright” and the like. It’s a shame because the store has a good variety and some staff and other customers are genuinely nice or will just leave you be.

  1. This Tesco store is enormous, extensively stocked and contains several delis, a pharmacy and optician.
There is parking under the store and travellators, steps or a lift up to the shopping level. There are a fair number of checkouts but fewer self checkouts than expected for the store size.

  2. favourite Tesco. This place usually has EVERYTHING, i get here every morning at opening time just before school, sometimes some areas aren’t very stocked, e.g meal deals, (when the meal deals are stocked THERES A HUGE SELECTION)donuts, confectionary isle. But the staff are almost always stocking them in the morning, i probably get here a little too early, car park is nice and spacious although i don’t own a car to park, be careful when walking through as pigeons with a stomach ache will target your head. The escalators are REALLY nice, I’m not too sure if there is already a word for them but they’re basically flat escalators this means you can bring your shopping cart/trolley.

My phone is currently broken so the photos are pretty bad..

This Tesco is huge! It has everything you can possibly think of in terms of grocery shopping.
When you walk in, you’ve got on the left various items going from celebration, cards, party items, stationary and more. Then you have a clothing section, with lots of offers on all the time. And then the rest is a huge grocery store, you can pretty much find anything you need, including those random last minute gifts for a party you had totally forgotten about. And it’s open until pretty late, so it’s very convenient for that too.

  4. So I went to tesco on park road liverpool. I went to the self service check out. I had 15 jars of baby food I had to scan one by one. 3 tubs of baby formula. My own food shopping and some over bits. £100 pounds worth in one basket you can imagine how full it was. I had my items around the pram and some in the basket while shopping so it was easy for me with a double pram. Anyway I scanned all my items and went to pay with two cards. I asked a young lad can I do split payment he said he’s not sure and asked a called marianne. She said no I couldn’t so I said okay. She then told me I would have to go to the normal checkout. I said it doesn’t matter I will pay with one card. So I got to pay with one card but the till came up with a message to carry on or cancel. So I asked Marianne to help me She ignored me. The lad cancelled my whole order by mistake. My son at this point is getting frustrated in the pram because he doesn’t like it when its busy. I start to put my items in the basket as fast as I can so my son doesn’t get up set. All the items started to fall out the basket on the floor. Marianne watched me struggle and started to laugh. I felt so embarrassed because the line was full. I broke down in tears because I felt so embarrassed. She didn’t once offer to help me but laughed at me instead. I asked for the manager. Sean came over listened to what I had to say and why I was talking to him Marianne was still laughing and talking to customers and another member of staff about me. Sean picked up the baby jars off the floor put them in my basket and I said I’m not risking buying them incase the glass has broken he felt the lid and said they are fine. I said I’m not risking it. It was last of the baby jars and my son will only eat that one jar. Not many places close by stock them and they are the only shop close to me that stock my daughters milk. So I needed these items. Long story short your members off staff don’t know how to bekind to customers qnd would rather humiliate a woman than help her.

  5. Staff ignore and shout at customers. Sandwich’s only just being put out at lunchtime. Lidl across the road is soo much better. AVOID THIS NIGHTMARE TESCOS!!
