- Reviews:We did the kayak tour, with “Cool Logan” and “Avery” as our guides. The tour is fantastic and our guides did a great job, they were very knowledgeable and have great personalities. They were also very attentive and concerned for our safety, pointing out potential dangers and offering a helping hand when needed. The tour is well organized, AWOL communicated with us prior to the tour and prepared us for what we were going to experience. This tour is a physical activity, you need to be reasonably fit and able kayak 4 miles round trip and trek through water and rocks to reach the kayaks. If you choose to rent a kayak and do it yourself you have to paddle 8 miles round trip and pack your kayak about 200 yards over rocks up and back. We saw quite a few people doing this but most of them looked exhausted and some were really struggling. The advantage to buying a tour, is you get to do the first two miles by motorized boat and the kayaks are waiting for you at the end of the rocky, shallow water trek so it can be done much quicker and is less strenuous; our tour took approximately 3 hours. The falls were at the highest allowable level for kayak tours to operate so we were lucky enough to experience the full force of the falls. This tour is well worth the time and money, we debated about renting kayaks and doing it ourselves but after seeing the physicality it entails, we were so glad we hired a tour company.By Tamera Hatch (a week ago)We had the very best experience today with Georgia and Logan! They were so fun, informative, took loads of pictures for us and made sure every aspect of the trip was seamless. My only regret is that we waited so long to book this! We will absolutely be back for more fun, soon.By Desiree Ballis (2 weeks ago)AWOL you guys rock! Georgia and Maisie were amazing and friendliest guides, Georgia is one of the best! Thanks again for a wonderful anniversary morning!!! 10 Starz!!!!!By Bruce Spratt (in the last week)I went here with my sister and mother. Kayaking for the first time was very enjoyable; we’d definitely do it again. We also went zip lining. All the employees were very friendly and pleasant, especially Avery and Tyler—our fun zip-lining guides. Thanks for the great adventure!By 杜采琪 (a month ago)

The male agent has huge man crush on Bruce Willis, he’ll be talking about Bruce Willis the whole time. After taking more than hour of customer’s time he’ll say oh sorry I couldn’t find any good company for your car and auto insurance, get will ask for your phone number and he will call you with in 24 hours, but he will never call you. he has good customer service experience, but he’s dishonest and a liar.By Ray Razaqi (a year ago)Great customer service, Kyle Lardon is an awesome agent, and helped us so much thru many years with our insurance. Lots of great things to see, learn, and buy. You can also rent bikes here to roll the trails. We were able to see a lot of base jumpers off the bridge.
I would not suggest bringing kids along the trail nearby as there are cliff edges with little to no fencing.
Beautiful views outside!
A nice little visitors center. It is located right at the Snake River viewing platform. So the walkway (Canyon Rim Trail) is right there as well. They had bikes for rent if you wish, rather than walk the Canyon Rim Trail. There are also folks that BASE jump from the Perrine Memorial Bridge, which is right there as well. The Evel Knievel jump monument is also located there, Although the actual launch site is just down the trail.
The visitor center has restrooms inside. It also has a gift shop to go with the actual visitors center informational stuff. There’s a nice stage coach inside as well. Just a nice little visitors center that is located with other things to do.
Great views of the canyon, snake river and the bridge. Definitely worth stopping here. The visitor center is good too. There are some small benches or grass to sit and enjoy or walk a little bit around.
Great views and very cool visitor center/store. Everything is centered around active options like bike touring the canyon rim trail, kayaking and short hikes.
Really great place to stop on a road trip! Shop, bathrooms, free coffee, history, and a walk along the river gorge. And if you’re lucky, you can see some BASE jumpers! I did, they seem to hang around there all the time if the weather’s good. It’s a bit off the highway ( I think I was trying to find something else!) but worth the stop to stretch your legs or get some proper exercise.
