Sainsbury’s in Truro: Do’s and Don’ts Every Shopper Should Know

When shopping at Sainsbury’s, it is important to adhere to certain rules to ensure a pleasant and fair experience for everyone. These rules apply to both online and in-store shopping and are designed to promote safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Here are some rules to follow while shopping at Sainsbury’s:

  • Respect social distancing guidelines: Maintain a safe distance from other shoppers and staff members while shopping in-store.
  • Wear a mask: In accordance with government regulations, wearing a face covering is mandatory in Sainsbury’s stores, unless you are exempted for medical reasons.
  • Follow directional signage: Pay attention to floor markings and signs indicating one-way systems and traffic flow within the store.
  • Sanitize your hands: Make use of the hand sanitizing stations provided at the entrance and other designated areas within the store.
  • Shop considerately: Be mindful of others and avoid hoarding or stockpiling items. Only purchase what you need to ensure fairness for all customers.
  • Reserve priority hours for vulnerable individuals: Respect the designated shopping hours reserved for vulnerable customers, including the elderly and those with disabilities.
  • Pack your own bags: In an effort to maintain sanitary conditions, it is recommended to pack your own bags at the packing area. You can also bring your own reusable bags if desired.
  • Pay contactless when possible: Use contactless payment methods, such as debit or credit cards, to minimize physical contact during transactions.
  • Keep your children under control: Supervise your children at all times and ensure they follow store rules, such as maintaining social distancing and refraining from touching items unnecessarily.

It’s important to note that the specific rules may vary depending on the location and current guidelines. Therefore, it is advisable to check the latest updates from Sainsbury’s before visiting the store or placing an online order.

  1. Classic Sainsbury’s, very large store with huge range of items. Car park is large and on two levels. Escalator to the food hall from top car park. Staff helpful, both in the aisles and at the checkout. Restaurant on site, clean and no complaints about the food. Petrol station next door which is often busy.

  2. This is our go-to store when we stay around Truro area. Petrol station, plenty of covered parking on ground level and on the upper level. Always seems to be clean and well stocked when we visit. Nice fresh and bakery goods. Has a good selection of homewares and clothing/shoes. Staff are friendly. And bonus café restaurant for hot and cold food/drinks on the upper level easily accessible via the travelator.

  3. Exactly what you would expect from Sainsburys!
Nice big store, clean toilets, friendly staff, free parking for 3hrs, large car park, petrol station too.
    Good lunch selection.
    Highly recommend

  4. Lovely staff, claire helped me today, with my long list looking for my items one after the other without getting tired of me, as it was my first time. A fantastic shopping spot for Africans too.

  5. Staff are always helpful and friendly, especially the nice girl who works on the customer service desk. The store has most of the stuff I need. The carpark can be a total nightmare and getting back out into regular traffic on the roundabout is hard work. Bit of a disaster last Friday, the customers had gone feral! There were trolleys dumped everywhere. There was a motorbike parked horizontally across the path, so customers had to walk in traffic to get in the store. Utter chaos, the store cannot control these kind of people, I feel for the poor person who had to gather all the wayward trolleys
