- Reviews:I was here yesterday early afternoon. I only shop here about once a month. I have found that the prices have gotten pretty high. Cheaper at my local pick and save. Anyway after selecting a few items I went to the checkout. As I went up to the machine your system went down for taking cards. Cash only. My machine said need to enter code. So I waited. I had cash. The clerk did his best trying to help all the frustrated customers with questions. When he got to me five minutes later. He said my machine broke down so use a different one. That was it. This is my favorite of their stores in the Madison area. Yes, you should check the produce–they have so much, priced so low, you have to expect it won’t always be perfect–but as long as you’re paying a little attention, it’ll be fine. They only accept cash and Discover cards — I go so often I opened a Discover card just for this purpose!! Firstly it’s very big which seems good but taking a deeper dive in I was unable to find much of any good produce. The onions, cucumbers, green onions, nectarines and peaches were not looking their finest so I was unable to get a few things on my list. I informed a staff about the mold and rotted fruit and they took it out of the cardboard bins. The Hispanic and Asian isles were greatly overpriced compared to other stores, I did not feel as if I was getting a good deal. And when it came time to pay I was surprised to find out they don’t accept visa or american express or any other major credit card except discover (I wish this had been posted clearly in front of the store I have never encountered this). Thank God I brought cash. They also accept debit and checks. One good thing I found here was a selection of local breads that were very unique and tasty. Best prices always, saves our family hundreds of not thousands per year. They have everything! Great international and organics without price gouging. Great produce sometimes picked through at night but if you are flexible buying fruits and veggies you will be happy. 4 stars since they close now at 11 it is like supermarket sweep for me when I go around 10 after work. Hope they can make 24hrs work again soon, even midnight would be helpful.
I love the variety of this store. The produce section is amazing and you always find what you’re looking for and then some. I also like that almost everything is cheaper than you average grocery store….. even Walmart. Also the best part is what you’re spending is going to the actual employees. I’d rather give to hard working employees vs corporate executive’s. I LOVE this place!
Love this store. Prices are comparable to other stores, and the selections…. Great! Can’t be beat when you are looking for unusual items. You don’t have to visit a lot of different stores to complete your shopping. They have a magnificent selection of fruits. No hit or miss always on point.
This is a great place to come buy your groceries or whatever you need. The only thing that we didn’t like is that the store does not accept a credit card that isn’t the Discover credit card. Which makes it harder for my parents when they need to buy their groceries. Besides that, it has good quality fruit and vegetables. As well as different foods and ingredients from different parts of the world.
Not only was this election lacking in many of the shelves weren’t stocked very well, they had too few people manning the checkouts and attempting to use the self-checkout for a larger order was really very difficult. I won’t go back there if I need to purchase more than just a couple of things.
