She told me the shower arm, the pipe that comes out of the wall, had broken and water was shooting out of the wall. I left and spent the day waiting for a large plumbing company to send a plumber out. While I was waiting I looked up the cost for that type of repair, between $75 – $150. When the plumbers arrived they told me “it could be cheap or it could be expensive?” He told me that he “had made a tool” to pull out pipes that had broken. He went to his van and came back with an estimate and a story. The estimate was for over $1,000 that included opening the wall, replacing 5 feet of piping. (Realize he had done nothing but looked at the pipe coming out of the wall. He hadn’t touched or tried to diagnose how the shower arm was damaged, or tried to take it out) He explained that the tool he “made” was lost so he would have to open up the wall. I told him we couldn’t afford that and he asked me “well what did you think it would cost?” (in a condescending tone) He left and I called Plumbing Master who said they would send a plumber out today, so I wouldn’t have to take another day off. When he arrived the plumber looked at the pipe and said “it could be pricey, $500 if the pipe was cracked.” He spent about 15 minutes and came out with the pipe, it had broken on the threading. He came in with a tool to pull out the remainder of the threading (I found out that you don’t have to make one, they sell them at the hardware store for under $20. The plumber assured me that all the broken threading was gone. I realized that I could probably handle the repair on my own. My wife and I spent the rest of the day getting a shower arm ($12) and looking at better shower heads. All the time we felt like we had won a $1,000 lottery. Plumbing Masters and their plumber may have lost a small job but gained our trust and our future business. Francisco and Salvador are true professionals! I needed some electrical work done in my newly built home to hang two 25 inch chandeliers over my custom built (12ft × 4ft) table. Francisco arrived when dispatch said he would arrive. He greeted me at the door and introduced himself. He asked what services I needed, did a survey of my home and presented (3) options. He also asked if I had any additional needs. I told him I had several light switches that I did not know what they were for. He was able to locate the outlets for each switch. Once I selected my option, Francisco went right to work. Eventually Salvador joined Francisco to assist in pulling the wiring. They ran into an issue where the builder of my home had horizontal 2 x 4s blocking the ability to run wire but Salvador came up with a quick solution to have remote control lighting. When they completed the work they cleaned the area and moved the table back in place. I was so impressed, I then asked if they could hang two additional pendant lights in my kitchen and without hesitation they did respond, “Yes”. Francisco and Salvador were courteous and gave me peace of mind. This was my first time using George Brazil and I will definitely use them again for my electrical needs.
I would not use anyone else besides George Brazil. This company is great from requesting an appointment to the work performed to completion. I would like to thank Roger Valenzuela for his expertise and professionalism. I have requested Roger each time I need anything electrical completed. He has years of experience in this field, is always so professional, answering any questions to explaining the work needed and when complete going over everything so the customer understands completely. I thank Roger for the peace of mind he gives knowing the work will be completed to satisfaction.
Tanner was the technician who performed my water heater maintenance. He was outstanding. He was punctual, he was polite, he was extremely professional. He explained step by step what he was doing and why he was doing it. He gave me tips on water heater care which I was not aware of. He explained the benefits of the George Brazil lifetime membership which eventually will pay for itself. He then reviewed all he did today and asked whether i had any concerns which I did and he answered those concerns. I was extremely satisfied with Tanner’s service call and would with confidence recommend George Brazil and Tanner to anyone who asked.
Roger V is a great electrician! He was on time, respectful, communicated clearly what needed to be repaired and why, and cleaned up everything when done. Roger was also very accomodating when we asked him to do more work than originally scheduled.
I like the communication from George Brazil. The text message updates and confirmation calls are helpful. I appreciate knowing the assigned representative in advance. Receiving their name, photo, and bio is a nice touch.
