My husband and I had an amazing experience working with Pique Travel Design’s Kris Nosworthy who set us up on a most magical South African 10th Anniversary trip. It was a 10-day trip encompassing a beautiful safari experience, an urban Cape Town experience and ending in an amazing time in wine country. Every detail, including airport meetups, immigration, itinerary guides, and much more was painstakingly looked after by the agency so we could just focus on having the trip of our lives. Can’t wait to plan another trip with Pique again.

Erin and the team at Pique Travel planned the perfect honeymoon for us in Maui! Erin was so helpful in recommending activities, restaurants and our hotel. Our trip was seamless thanks to their incredible organization. They made it easy so that we could focus on wedding planning instead of planning our honeymoon. We will definitely use Pique Travel again for trips!

Linda and Erin from Pique Travel did a GREAT job of putting together a multi-generational trip to Belize this February that included 18 travelers of various ages who were literally scattered across the USA. The logistics of coordinating the movement of that many travelers into Belize and then the domestic travel within Belize was mind boggling but it was handled with aplomb. They brought a wealth of knowledge to their recommendations which resulted in truly memorable vacation that more than satisfied the varied needs of 18 diverse individuals. I would highly recommend Pique travel – and look forward to using them for future adventures.

We just came home from a fabulous two week adventure in Italy and Greece. We decided to work with a travel advisor because this was a milestone trip for us and the quantity of hotels and excursions to research was overwhelming. We were extremely happy with Pique – they were attentive to our interests and budget and very responsive. We loved how prepared they sent us abroad – with helpful and organized booklets, plus phone numbers and tickets for each activity. We had to schedule the trip multiple times due to Covid and I can’t imagine how I would have managed this myself. Incredible experience and will use them again.

Linda and her team created a dream honeymoon for us! We can’t thank her enough for taking the time to learn our ‘vacation style’ and implementing it with options for excursions, hotels and flights! Pique is easily the best agency I have worked with from their contacts around the world, attention to detail and 24/7 service while traveling.

Melanie at Travel Beyond planned an epic 25 night sabbatical trip for me to Botswana and Zimbabwe in April / May 2023. I began the process with very little knowledge of Southern Africa, and a lack of clear budgetary and time constraints. Melanie patiently worked with me through different itinerary incarnations and kept me on track when I got overwhelmed by the different options. Finalizing the itinerary took two months, but I was delighted with the result. I appreciated that I wasn’t pressured at any point during the planning process. This was a big enough trip that I needed to have absolute confidence in my choices. The documentation provided by Travel Beyond in the run up to the trip was exhaustive, especially the tipping guidelines. The pre-trip call was very useful. Melanie was incredibly responsive to last minute questions, as well as the few details that I needed to confirm while on the trip. The trip itself was simultaneously the most luxurious and adventurous thing I’ve ever done. Highlights included: waiting four hours for a lioness to fetch her 4-8 week old cubs from their hiding place to feast upon a warthog kill; a wild dog kill saga that unfolded over 24 hours in front of Duba Explorers; a cheetah mother with six cubs lounging by the Chitabe air strip; a male lion exploding into a grove at night, driving a large group of lionesses off a kill as they dispersed around the vehicle, calling to one another; an elephant, submerged up to its head in the Selinda Spillway and surrounded by jacanas, feasting upon water lily stems; an aerial loop over Victoria Falls on the flight from Kasane; the rapids on the river “commute” from the Victoria Falls jetty to Mpala Jena; canoeing past hippo pods on the Zambezi near Mana Pools; a daylong boat trip to the spectacular Mpata Gorge, near the Mozambique border; a low-flying charter flight from Mana Pools to Pamushana in a tiny Cessna; tracking white rhinos and a bull elephant on foot; having our way blocked by a black rhino mother and baby in a mountainous section of the Malilangwe Reserve as we watched a lion pride cross the road up ahead; glimpsing a leopard in the distance as we were walking across the dry river bed in front of the Chilojo Cliffs in Gonarezhou National Park. I was the only guest in the vehicle on most game drives, and for several nights, the only guest in camp. I am convinced I got the best positioned tents. I was keen to spend as much time exploring as possible. All the camps accommodated, and I saw an unbelievable number of lions, cheetahs, leopards, black and white rhino, wild dogs, elephants, hippos, and different species of antelope. I even saw an African wild cat! Many of the guides were avid photographers and knew how to position the vehicles for the best shots. The Great Plains vehicles, in particular, were amazing, with the middle seat removed so you could easily switch sides and unreal shock absorption. All transfers went smoothly. I was met and assisted with luggage and customs and immigration, if necessary, at every stop. I greatly enjoyed my conversations with guides, camp managers and staff, and other guests. It was the perfect set-up for a solo traveler. I appreciated that Travel Beyond was able to make the international flight arrangements for a reasonable fee. They noticed and were able to adjust a connection that had become too tight due to a changed flight time. I was really busy in the run-up to the trip – this reduced the stress level, and let me focus on packing. Big shoutout to Elle, the trip coordinator, as well!

After extensive research and calls with many of the African safari tour companies, we decided to move forward with Melanie Reger and Elle Ervin at TravelBeyond and are so grateful that we did. Melanie was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and honestly created a dream itinerary for my husband and I on our honeymoon. We ended up traveling to Uganda for a gorilla trek, to Kenya (Lewa and the Masai Mara) for safari, and ending with another safari in the Serengeti in Tanzania. Each experience and camp that we stayed at was vastly different to the other and all of this was in thanks to Melanie’s expert advice and experience. She curated a perfect itinerary (and more!) based on what I had told her our wishes were for our trip. We couldn’t have asked for a more eye-opening, wonderful, and seamless experience. Not only was she very thorough with the entire itinerary, she was also always just a text or phone call away whenever we needed help with anything. If your budget allows, don’t look any further. All transport, accommodation, FOOD, and staff were top-notch and exceeded all expectations. You will get what you paid for and more. We were definitely slightly hesitant to spend the amount we did but are so grateful we did now that we are back home from our trip. We felt so safe and looked after our entire trip. We always had a greeter or airport staff to welcome us as soon as we got off our flights (big or small) and to help navigate immigration and airport security. The entire trip was seamless and SO efficient! We were able to skip long queues and honestly treated like royalty. Nothing like we had ever experienced before. Melanie was also extremely helpful in helping us prepare for the trip with vaccination recommendations (required and recommended) as well as a complete packing list from TravelBeyond that she helped go through with us. We could not have done with without Melanie and the entire TravelBeyond team and are forever grateful! Bonds were made, tears were shed, and memories were made that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait to go back.

We booked a South African Safari through Travel Beyond for our Honeymoon and have nothing but amazing things to say about Travel Beyond as well as our representatives Melanie Reger and Callie Robinson. From the beginning parts of planning our trip, we knew we were in capable hands with expert opinion on all destination and lodges helping us select the exact trip to suit our preferences. Once the trip began, Travel Beyond helped coordinate on the ground transportation from the moment we landed at each of our stops that made the trip seamless. We also used a number of customized tours in Cape Town and in the Seychelles that were coordinated through Travel Beyond which were incredible. Overall I could not recommend Travel Beyond enough for Africa or other Destinations for creating an unforgettable experience.

Travel Beyond was the perfect choice to prepare our 25th wedding anniversary trip to South Africa. Craig and his team didn’t miss a single detail in this trip of a lifetime! Safari in Botswana and South Africa with up close experiences that included leopards, lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, wild dogs, a hippo and so many other creatures. Our guides were seasoned professionals with extensive knowledge on the animals, terrain, etc. All the accommodations were five star, the food exceptional and friendly staff welcomed us every time. Amazing safaris paired with the cultural experience in Cape Town created the ultimate South Africa experience!

Travel Beyond was an incredible company to work with. Jeanie Fundora planned the honeymoon of our DREAMS. Giraffe Manor was at the top of my bucket list and I don’t know how, but she was able to get us a room there less than 6 months out! She is super knowledgeable and has traveled to Africa countless times so she really did put my anxious mind at ease and was super patient in answering my million questions! She gave us wonderful suggestions for things to do during our down time in Nairobi- she really knows Kenya well! Every minute of our honeymoon was planned to perfection. Travel Beyond makes the entire process of researching, booking and traveling seamless. We did not have to worry about a thing. They had ground transportation set up for us everywhere we went and provided us with a detailed itinerary to keep us on organized. They have guides on vaccines, visas and other topics that seemed daunting for a first time traveler to Africa. I cannot recommend them enough. It was the best trip of our lives! Thank you!

  1. Wonderful experience aboard Wayzata Bay Charters! Beautiful boat, friendly staff and great appetizers (fruit, meat, cheese, dip, etc.) to enjoy during the 2-hour Happy Hour cruise. Drinks are additional but have plenty to choose from for a good price! We had a group of people with us and was a perfect way to spend the evening. I would advise getting there earlier enough to find street (paid) parking as it fills up fast. Enjoy the ride!

  2. Our department celebrated our company’s 50th anniversary aboard the Paradise Princess. The pizza cruise is a great way to relax and enjoy the multimillion dollar homes and gorgeous views on Lake Minnetonka. Roaming from indoors to outdoors to variety of people enjoying the cruise. We didn’t want it to end.

  3. Beautiful Cruise, Amazing Service and Staff. We went for the two hour Sunday brunch cruise. The brunch buffet was ok and had a good variety of food. The captain entertained us the whole trip, informing us about the history around the lake and the multimillion dollar homes. He even let some of the younger kids steer the boat, and they were even given some nautical charms as take away gifts. The captain was wonderful! All in all it was very fun, Lake Minnetonka has lots of Gorgeous views and we would definitely do it again.

  4. Our lake tour was a remarkably refreshing excursion. The staff was wonderfully friendly, attentive, and helpful.

The tour route took us through the islands and shared the interesting history of the area. We and our fellow guests enjoyed the bar service and snacks as we looked out into the lake to enjoy the breathtaking views.

We highly recommend the change of pace a charter cruise offers when you hit the Minneapolis area. So, get out there and have some fun! ⛴️?

  5. Great staff, reasonably priced for what you got. Wished there was more tourists sites to point out on lake. Was with family from out of town so wanted to show them more or lake but I guess limited with 2 hr limit. Meal was good, glad they plated it to prevent running out. Otherwise, worth the price.
