a week agoI’ve been shopping from this Tesco for almost 20 years and no once in my life I ever return anything except today. I bought a smoothie and realised one of the bottles were already opened so I decided to drive back to the store and exchange it. when I reached to customer service desk a short black lady with glasses and short hair told me the till was closed so I asked to speak with the manager she said the manager wasn’t present and that she’s a cleaner which its turned out to be she was in fact the store manager, she got so upset because the query was so simple all I wanted was to exchanged the smoothie but she kept on saying she’s not the manager and I should return tomorrow I refused who have the time to drive back and forth over smoothie. She needs to get fired because clearly she’s not there to offer any service to customers. She lied about her job tittle like some scare little girl and messed up my evening over something that could be easily sorted out.2 months agoThis Tesco is always nice to come to but it is not local to me. I come here for their lactofree products. This is not the same as dairy-free. They only had lacto-free butter and milk which was very disappointing as I wanted to make a cake. It would be nice if they expanded their range to different varieties of lactofree cheeses, yogurts and butters/ creams. It really would save the guess work and having to go multiple places.2 years agoTesco Brixton is located next to town hall and this particular superstore is small compared to others. The store serves fresh flowers and fresh bakers in the store. The store is Less busy at weekdays and afternoons. This is my Frist visit to the shop , they have ample parking near the shop and you are allowed to park 1.5hrs for free. I was directed to do checkout however the staffs were busy in talking about home mortgage rather serving customer, which was very disappointing. Other than that it was smooth purchase.
6 months agoVery nice staff.. and got lots off with my points and offers.. and flowers are great ..11 months agoHello I wish to make a request for improvements to your bicycle park at your superstore in Acre Lane Brixton I cycle to this store 2 or 3 times every week and I am really stressed out about your lack of investment in the bicycle park. It is too small for bicycles with pannier bags of heavy shopping. It’s located in the wrong place – at the entrance where all the pedestrians are entering the store , this makes it very difficult arriving and leaving the store It’s also not secure enough to leave a bike which in my case is worth thousands of pounds ££££ We are all encouraged to be more green and use less car transfers and so you should be encouraging cyclists and making the experience less stressfulMay I suggest a new area for bicycles Covered Nearer the main entrance where security personnel can keep an eye out for bike thieves This space would take up no more than 3 car spaces in front of your store

4 months agoStaff are extremely friendly and helpful. However, the time to queue is ridiculous and simply because they don’t have enough staff manning the checkouts. This issue isn’t new it has been ongoing for more than 12 months. Tesco’s should have more respect for their staff ….5 months agoI will be sharing this with Tesco head office and the national press . As of now I’m a British gas pay as you go customer, not through choice, seems my supplier has been bought out. I can only top up my gas and electricity at the post office or my local Tesco express in kennington. Today I encountered the worst customer service ever. The machine wasn’t charged, the woman behind the till smirked, I’m a midwife that doesn’t work 9+5 so rely on a a service that is meant to be provided. , I’m hoping she doesn’t have children that need to be fed or bathed because I have never been treated as I was treated today. She refused to charge the machine, she smirked several times even when I sent my daughter to diffuse the situation.i spoke with the manager, I spoke with head office, I am a well paid professional and have never been treated like this. I have never treated anyone like this l.’m coming home to no gas or electric because your staff are rude, incompetent and and without conscious. Please don’t tell me to organise,£ 20:00 a day doesn’t need organising it needs an online payment. I will be taking my complaint further and suggest you identify the woman in the till as he refused to give her name service or to charge the monitor. Bear in mind the single parents you have forced into your ridiculous payment scheme that can’t top up for their children, shame on youYou can reply or wait for your branch to be publicly shamed as your employee tried to do to me today. I will never shop with this store again
6 months agoThe white boy “working” this morning who is supposed to be a manager is not relaying essential infos to the staff. Therefore, the staff is not able to do their jobs properly. How are they expected to meet expectations when the “manager” is not even leading by example? It shows in everyone poor customer service skills, from top down.a year agoNice small local store. However this state of things is a shame. The store closed in 30 mins and I understand restocking, but don’t they have bins? This isn’t how to present a storea year agoStaff are overall very nice. When it comes to stock, I feel it’s always the same options, over and over again, particularly veg and the deli section. Very limited frozen and meat and fish sections. They do, however, have a great bakery aisle with awesome pastries and a quite extensive £3 meal deal section

Really great place to buy groceries, especially if you are on vacation. The main entrance was closed when I went there buy, it was open. I had to go through the parking garage/area to enter the store. From cases of water, cookies, wine and liquor, there are a variety of foods here. I highly recommend stopping here for groceries. I bought a six pack of water, much better price that paying for more at your hotel.
I loved this store and was a regular customer. About once a week I made big purchases.
But suddenly I got a £100 fine for parking.
, it turned out they changed parking hours from 2 to 1:30. For such a large store, this is a problem. No time to choose, you have to run and quickly buy strictly according to a small list, leaving time for checkout and loading, in general, very nervous and unrealistic. I don’t want to pay £100 fine for my purchases
Very large, lots of parking, easily accessible by bus, bike or on foot. Santander bike rack across the road. Staff are polite and helpful. Good selection of products. Customer toilets are available and they are clean and well maintained. A very handy local shop.
BEWARE!!!! After years they have decided to change the maximum parking stay without displaying any large signage or warning, only the small text on the original signage has been changed. For years I’ve been enjoying a coffee with scone at H&H then slow strolling the aisles for my weekly shop spending close on £100 every week, but recently I received a parking fine for £100 because Tesco changed the parking stay without properly warning customers. Absolutely appalling, Tesco management should be ashamed of themselves. I will not support Tesco anymore after this! And don’t even bother trying to question anything because it’s impossible to speak to anyone at Tesco or Horizon parking, you simply cannot get to speak to a human being. It really is high time that we start supporting small local businesses rather than these soulless corporations that see you only as an ATM.
The best Tesco! They have everything, open until midnight plus the prices are really good, cheaper than Tesco Express. They also offer some products for Aldi prices, which is known for its low prices.
