Michelle and staff ya’ll rock! Thanks for making my trip to SD awesome. The Toyota Corolla I got was amazing. Thanks for all you do. Definitely recommend NU car rentals. Prices are great, cars a pretty much new and even though they were super busy they were very professional.
If you’re looking for speedy customer service and for the car you ordered to be ready upon your arrival, this is not the place for you. Had to wait 30 minutes when I got there. I ordered a mini van but they were trying to give it to another couple. They had a larger vehicle I could use so I helped the couple and let them have it. The gentlemen behind the counter couldn’t stop talking to each other and just kept delaying.
The only reason I’m giving 2 stars over 1 is because the car was clean and operated nicely.
They don’t deserve a star. I reserved a vehicle for my vacation and paid it in full upfront. I show up at the scheduled time, and after waiting for an hour for someone to help me, I get the news that the vehicle I reserved was not available and would not be available that day. The place was super unorganized. It’s been 12 days and I still haven’t received my refund. Save yourself the headache and go to a known car rental business like hertz, enterprise or budget. Never again. Credit to the young man behind the counter; he was very nice, and this was obviously out of his control.
Do not recommend. We reserved and paid for a vehicle and upon arriving in San Diego were told the vehicle was not available and they were at “negative cars” with only two left on the lot. The options provided were to upgrade to a more expensive vehicle or request a refund. We needed a car asap and took the upgrade option and they essentially gave us someone else’s car… meaning another customer’s reservation was likely not honored. It seems like they don’t honor any holds/reservations regardless of if you have paid in advance. The environment/staff seem aggressive and not interested in providing customer-service or engaging in ethical business. Disappointing and weird experience.

This morning I was promised that the overcharge for the fuel will be returned to me in a few days. If I will get the money back I will update the review.

Stay away from this car rental agency! They charged me for $55 for gas pre purchase and then gave me a car with an empty tank (67 miles). Then they tried to tell me that “this is how it works” and, “the manger is not here”.
On the bright side we got a brand new car (only 3000 mile) that was a pleasure to drive.
