3 months agoThis is one of the best Targets in the DMV. It is always stocked and staff is always working on the floor. Additionally, they have accessible ALL-GENDER bathrooms. This is one of my favorite Targets. Target is such a great place! Thanks Cleveland Park staff.2 months agoNo one is ever at the checkout counter to help. Nearly every time I go here, either my self check-out machine or someone else’s machine malfunctions halfway through, and you have to go track down one of the employees to reset it. When that happens you’re lucky if the staff member doesn’t roll their eyes at you or mutter something under their breath. Target needs to have someone assigned to the counter or at the very least, connect the check-out machines to staff pagers.3 months agoNo one works here lol Other than misplaced loyalty to capitalism and a very mild concern about a later arrest for shoplifting, there’s no reason to check out here. None of the registers work half the time and there’s no one that can ever be found except stock people who can’t help.4 years agoSmall but fairly well provisioned food section, with both snack foods and some home groceries, heavy on the convenience foods. Prices are high but better than other stores in the area. Conveniently open until 11 p.m. on Saturdays, in an area where other stores close at 9 or 10, but it closes earlier on other days of the week. Free parking with store validation.Downside: Service was sparse and heavily dependent on self-service—there were no employees on the floor helping customers, and of three employees around the checkout counter, only one was operating a register, quite lackadaisically.
a month agoAmazing target location, with super convenient target pick up and surrounded by amazing stores like a Thai food place, cold stones, and a nail salon. The perfect target experience for the city.

a year agoTarget offers a variety of Grocery options like Fruits, Vegetables, Dairy, Meats, Baked Goods, Other Snacks Options and House Hold Essential, Furniture, Home Good Items, Lawn Equipment, Supplies and many many more options available to choose from. Store was clean. Staff was knowledgeable, attentive, pleasant and friendly. This Target Offers Two Free Hours of Parking in the Underground Parking Garage After Making A Purchase At This Target Store, Customers must present a Parking Ticket to Staff at the time of Purchase in order to have your Parking Ticket Validated prior to returning to your Vehicle.a year agoThis store opened a couple years ago and it’s always nice and clean. The day I went after work the store must have just received a truck because there were boxes of product on most of the aisles. But this store is generally very clean and organized. This isn’t a normal sized target though, it’s definitely smaller and has more of a convenient store type feel. But all of the normal Target staples are still there. There is parking under the store and it’s accessible using the escalators or elevator. There is a Starbucks as well. It’s a great store to visit!2 weeks agoSpent the weekend nursing a sore elbow, so I popped into this Target today before work hoping to pick up an elbow brace. It was just about 8am, so the store was pretty empty. An associate walks by and I stop her to ask her where the braces were located and said she was new, so she didn’t know. Rather than walk the entire sales floor looking for the elbow brace, I asked her if she could help me locate an associate who would know where the braces are located. Rather than respond, she rolled her eyes at me from the top of my head to the soles of my feet and then quickly sashayed away.I don’t know what you guys are teaching your new associates, but I hope you at least teach them that completely and purposely ignoring customers is not a good look.
Two associates later and I finally find someone who directs me to the correct section only to find Target didn’t have what I needed.
2 months agoThe workers are super rude and lack communication skills. If you hate your job so bad and can’t help any clients just quit and leave- my personal opinion.The managers lack experience and knowledge. I went there because their website says they price match with Walgreens. But according to the manager even though they do price match with several websites they decide what to price match from the website. make that make sense? How do you decide what to price match? Why false advertise something? Anyway if you want good customer service and fair prices- do not come here!
a year agopoorly managed target.. no one knew answers for anything. customer service was poor. stocking issues in all the aisles. boxes everywhere.. the food items especially bread section don’t have best before stickers on them. when questioned, they just saw each other faces. poorly managed.

If I could give 0 I would… the product in the baby section is so unorganized to the point I picked up a box of pull ups that were scattered everywhere; I went to the register and the manager who is skinny, tall, with twist or old braids, and brown skin not sure of her name told me that even though the section looks a mess and she agreed it was all in the wrong section! She still did not take or reduce the price. This is exactly why I chose to shop further out of Dc because managers/ people do not understand customer satisfaction and that it is not our fault that the workers misplace items.
Good morning I’m writing this review on behalf of Johnathan (maybe misspelling) in the electronic department! On 2 separate incidents I needed help that may have been above his job description and he had no hesitation to help me out! He recommended both inexpensive and expensive items. I’ve witnessed him also have excellent customer service to every guest that walked up the the counter when I was there. He helped everyone with ease and grace and also quickly but not rushed.
This is the most unorganized, run down Target in the US. Nothing is stocked correctly. They are always out of items and cannot stock the right items. All the medicine is locked up. Had trouble getting a gift card and no one could help me. The self checkout froze and the Target team members did not know what to do. Worthless help. Everything at the Columbia Heights Target is 15% higher than other Targets in the area. How dare you prey on people that live here. We make less and have to spend more. I only go here when I absolutely need something, otherwise stay away from the worst Target in the US.
Oftentimes, the people make the experience. That was the case in my first trip to this Target location.
In reading other reviewers’ displeasure with empty shelves, I can say I did notice that too, but they had all of the necessities that we needed. We had also placed an online order for several items, and the order was complete, ready, and organized.
When I needed assistance while shopping, the gentlemen working in the beer section ably answered my questions.
And Felicia at customer service? She was amazing. Her welcoming charm and effective service really made our stop a great one.
I recommend ordering online and having it delivered. I like Target but I predict the Columbia Heights store will close down. A majority of merchandise is now locked up due to high theft. No one helps when you use the call device to unlock laundry detergent. Also, they have often out of stock for even the most basic staple items like Windex. It’s a shame.
