What good is shopping at this location, if you cannot get out of the store? We had just a handful of items and we’re confronted by checkout lines that were so long they went back to the produce department.

We put our things back and left. Contrast that with other people, who are just leaving their carts where they stood and leaving the store.

A message to Target: put another self checkout pod at the other end of the store if you cannot staff your registers properly. It’s silly to have people who have cash and card in hand are ready to buy goods and have to stand in line for 20 or 30 minutes.

CONTEXT: Reviewing because my Target customer service survey specifically asked for a Google review. I usually don’t post reviews for terrible experiences. I will update if they reach out to make things right.

HEADLINE: Complete incompetence was on display Dec 15, 2022.

I placed an online order for curbside pickup at this location on Dec. 15. I placed a large order because they were running a 10% off groceries special. It included groceries for our dinner tonight.

My partner tried to pick it up curbside around 5:00 pm only to find that curbside pickup was closed off entirely. This was not mentioned during checkout or I would have selected a different store.

He went inside and found a line of 25(?) people waiting for their orders. At first, no one was working returns or pickup. When someone finally came, it was only one person to serve all these customers.

He waited for *50 minutes*. That alone is abysmal customer servcie. Then was told they couldn’t find the order!

So now we’ve been charged for the order, wasted an hour of time, wasted the coupon, and have no groceries or dinner tonight.

    Ridiculous.

Big Target with good selection. Ample parking. Self checkout works smoothly. Prefer going in the evening when it’s not as crowded. Groceries are great.

One star off because, like other Targets, it is pricier than its equivalents. More expensive than Walmart for everything, granting a few areas of higher quality items (men’s apparel, in my opinion). And more expensive than Harris teeter, Sam’s club and other grocery store chains within a one mile radius.

I go here when I’m in a pinch for a few items knowing there won’t be a long line, prices will be doable if not ideal, and when other stores may have already closed.

Great Target location! However just like every other Target I have been in, their clothing section can be a mess at times

Target was great as always. Nice welcoming staff and clean store. Easy to park. They didn’t have what I was looking for due to it being sold out. I’ll. Just have to come back and spend more haha!

Target in Durham NC: Do’s and Don’ts Every Shopper Should Know

When shopping at Target, there are certain rules and guidelines that shoppers should be aware of to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience. These rules help maintain a safe and enjoyable shopping environment for all customers and staff.

  • Respect store policies: Familiarize yourself with Target’s store policies, including return and exchange policies, before making any purchases. This will save you time and frustration if you need to return an item later.

  1. One of the largest and most up to date Targets I’ve ever visited. They have a huge selection of groceries, home goods, clothing, toys, electronics, pharmacy, and so much more! As always, you can expect above average quality and lower than average prices on most items. This is truly a one stop shopping destination. They even have medical wellness clinic, Starbucks, cafe with seating area, and optical center. I’m not sure what more you could want from any shopping destination. Highly recommended.

  2. Very clean elegant Target, kept up to date with tech. as always I’m impressed with the quality of service at Target including the facilities and staff. Definitely might go to place to pick up most household items I don’t get from the Big A… and even food meds and clothing.

  3. I went to pick up an order that said it was ready to be picked up. I drove up, put my space number in and waited until the message apologizing for a delay came up. When the associate came out the car that pulled up after me received their order. Then my screen changed to sign for your order…that I hadn’t received. When the associate came out with someone else’s order I asked about mine. First I was told I was at the wrong store, then she looked up my order and saw one item and told me she didn’t see the other item and then said it was out of stock. I went into the store at this point and the associate at the desk found my ice cream. What should have been a, maybe 10 minute trip, turned into a 30 minute trip. I understand the store may be short staffed but please at least try to be helpful.

  4. My drive up orders are filled in a timely manner. My is packed with care. The only improvements I would suggest is, being more careful in the way my order is placed in the car. I don’t like gathering items from all parts of the car and/or trunk when I get home. Also, very often, the delivery person comes to any part of the car. That makes me feel as if they do not care enough to look at my instructions.

  5. target staff is amazing, but in the starbucks i have seen the worker Krista bully associates and give terrible customer service. i wouldn’t go back to the store just because target seems ok with hiring people who treat the rest of their people like trash.
